Same here... IBS and while I don't have Celiac Disease and I am sensitive to gluten. The older I get the less dairy I can tolerate. I also have my safe foods. Basically this whole video is me...

ALL of them are me! The GI issues since preschool and lots of doctors visits because I didn’t grow and eat as well as my siblings. My mother was sure something was wrong but I was at low end of normal so they said I was fine. 2015 diagnosed with severe GERD had terrible sickness when pregnant as well. I wish my mother could know I finally found out what the problem was my Autism. The contradictory sensory issues are crazy I can be hot/cold at the same time! I thought it was due to my thyroid problem. I have a very high tolerance for pain which means I am hurting more by the time I notice it, not fun! I am only good with animals in my opinion a neighbor thinks I have special gift for relating to them. Thank you for the clarification! I have blamed so much on Thyroid disease the last 12 years that is likely being Autistic

I have hypothyroidism... Here's what I found when I looked up feeling hot and cold just to make sure it isn't a thyroid issue "An overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism) can cause a person to feel too hot, while an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism) can cause a person to feel too cold." My feet are always cold and I have to wear socks. Thanks for commenting! :)

POTS is a syndrome that is more common in autistic people especially women that can mess with your senses of hot and cold (and many other things) as well.
@cecile-p
@cecile-p 5 месяцев назад
@@Catlily5 I didn't know that. And most GP don't know what is more common on autistic people, they don't learn that at school, they have to make some research if they want to be aware of something that specific. There are probably some doctors who make the effort when they know they have autistic patients, but most of them just don't have time to do that. Thank you for this information, it could be useful to mention it to a doctor.

@@cecile-p I found out that I have POTS from the comments under an autism video. I had the symptoms so I looked into it and eventually mentioned it to my doctor. I was diagnosed. So I mention it in case it can help someone else.

All of them ! About pain, I used to have a very high tolerance to pain, until a surgery in my spine, it became the opposite in one day. It can change, it's very confusing, physically and emotionally, and it takes years to get used to this new status. I couldn't live without a cat ! I also have a dog and a bird. In the past, I always had pets, cats, dogs, birds, fishes, turtles, horses, guinea pigs, rabbits, hens, I even had a big white turkey (fallen from a truck) as a pet. I understand animals better than humans, and I think animals understand me better than people ! Have a nice weekend !

Cecile, long ago I had a white duck, for many years. His name was Oglethorpe, and I loved that sweet, funny boy. So I can relate very much about your turkey! We have wild turkeys here, and 2 have become friendly and come running to me when I feed the deer. I call them The Turkey Sisters.

Still trying to work out whether I'm ADHD or AUDHD. But I can definitely relate to this. I'm very good at reading the body language of our cat when interacting with her. And we are very close. I'm not sure what I'll do without her when she goes. We had dogs when I was growing up and I was very close to them. Definitely gut issues. Pain tolerance. I struggle to know what level of pain I'm in when asked. I am hypermobile and have dealt with a level of pain my whole life. When I had a baby they were quite shocked as to how far along they thought they'd be sending me home 😂. So I obviously didn't present like most ppl.

Animals, wild and domestic, have been a (or maybe THE) major part of my life since my earliest memories. To this day if I see a cricket or spider in a public place like a supermarket, I will go to great lengths to rescue it. I keep a small pill bottle in my handbag for this purpose. I could not live without a best friend cat. Keera (a tortie) is my main cat companion now and for the past 11 years. We have a family of 7 crows who come when I call them for treats, and our deer family over the years averaging 8 to to 10, mainly females. I have face recognition with every one of them and of course all are named. Cruelty to animals devastates me. Oh my--I could write pages or even a book about my animal friends over the years. So....I've had bowel issues since early teens, and IBD in later years that led to a medical emergency in 2020 that I've mentioned previously. And yes I also have food "fads" that are often very lengthy! Currently I'm eating sliced tomatos slathered with hummus every day. I'm very sensitive to loud noises, especially thunder, fighter jet flyovers, dogs barking, guns and fireworks, loud vehicles and loud people. Jenny--you always come up with the most relatable topics for us! 🦝🐿🐱🦌🐻🦉🦆🕷🦗🥰

What a wonderful family of wild animals you have ! I wish I could find a home surrounded with nature and wildlife. I'm in a small village, I just have a lot of birds in my garden, a few toads, and a hedgehog dynasty I've been feeding with nuts every night for more than 10 years. I relate with animal cruelty trauma, it's incomprehensible to me...

You are something special Gwennie for taking a pill bottle for saving those critters. Love it. I wish I could say I care to save spiders but I do not. I was bit by a brown recluse when I was a teen and it was the worst ordeal every. I'll save lady bugs and crickets all day long though. LOL Yes, I can not stand cruelty to animals or children or seniors or disabled people. Yummy hummus!

I turned 49 in January. I have all three of these. I have a low tolerance for pain, ALWAYS had GI issues, and LOVE my dogs!! I have taken one online test six times and scored moderate six times! I would love to be professionally diagnosed but was told one time that it isn't covered by insurance, which is a bummer. Oh and one more thing- flat affect. Can't tell you how many times people tell me that I look mad: I tell them - its just my face!
@autisticjenny
@autisticjenny 5 месяцев назад
oh yes, flat affect...I recently made a video about that. I learned how to mask when I was younger but I'm finding the older I get, the more it feels like I'm losing the ability to use my mask and that is going to be ok with me. Thanks for commenting! We are about the same age. :) I always like meeting people that are close in age and can relate to me.

I related to all three. Animals! Yes, I like animals better than people. I watch a Friesian horse channel everyday, just to be around horses. I also watch a lot of BBC earth programs, so I get to see all the wildlife. Stomach issues, I used to have more trouble than I do now. I think that is because now, I just don't eat a bunch of stuff, and stick to cereal and sandwiches. Pain, is a strange one. I seem to be able to handle pain( like having all my teeth pulled) better than I can handle a paper cut.😮❤😊

I heard GI issues was 85% of autistics. Definitely me 🙈 I wish I'd grown up with animals I didn't and though I like interacting with random animals I can't do the daily tasks of caring for one. Yes re sensory profile. I have both high and low pain profiles. Think that's a combination of Dissociation and autism.

another good video Mrs. J For me I was raised on a farm, so animals where always around, but I had raccoons as pets. The girls here use rescue horses for their horseback riding/group therapy, they also have this gardening group thing. But the horses seem to work great wonders for the clients. And yes, I have stomach issues to, it's weird, I'll feel nauseous with cramps and general upset stomach, not feeling like eating but after 2 days one has to eat something, then minutes after eating I'll feel 100% better. Pain is another weird thing, though out the day I'll damage myself somehow and don't realize it till later that evening. I have question for you, out of sight out of mind issues, I have to be real carful where I put things down or I'll never remember where I put them. I would say it was dementia, but I've had that issue all my live.

Thank you! I wish I was raised on a farm. I'm a little jealous. LOL I experience "out of sight, out of mind" too That's the beauty of making lists, we can see them. I have to have mine. Don't label yourself with dementia. What I've learned from my training is if you start putting your keys in your freezer, then it's time to be concerned maybe. Age related memory issues are normal to an extent.

I love my kitten grandpa. I feel like I gave birth to him. Ppl find this weird but I never loved a person the way I love my cat. I love all cats. Sometimes I think about having a superpower where I can turn into a cat and communicate with him the way cats do. I want to try his food and wonder if he would let me use his litter box as a cat. I have IBS w/ constipation. I want to throw a parade once my body decides it wants to poop without any laxatives.
@autisticjenny
@autisticjenny 5 месяцев назад
What a cute name for a cat. :) We had lots of cats growing up. I know what you mean about just being excited to how be able to go to the bathroom. I went to a gastro doctor one time who told me when I take fiber, I need to also take Fiber supplements (like Benefiber) add bulk to the stool, while Miralax softens it. If both Miralax and fiber are used, Miralax can be discontinued once constipation symptoms are controlled. But ask your doctor to make sure. I know I don't drink enough water. I'm trying to do better at that because I know that does help.
