first time I see someone explaining the meaning of buffering in that easy to understand way, gonna be using that "bridge" example from now on whenever I need to explain it too :).
I have been streaming for a good many years now. I have found that good devices and routers are key. When I started I bought the first generation Firesticks and used the cable companie's modem and it was hit or miss at best. I have built my system up over the years thanks to RU-vidrs like you and few others. I have in my home a Nvidia Shield 2019 pro, a 2019 Fire Cube and two 4k Firesticks. I run it on a TP Link Deco 1300 mesh net router with 400 Mbps internet. I use real debrid and Nord VPN service. If you make a serious investment I recommend Nvidia Shield all the way. I love it. I've had various other Android boxes but what I have now is awesome. Thanks again Adam for all the good advice. Cheers from the States and happy streaming everyone!
Excellent tip. A good router makes all the difference in the world if you can't use ethernet. My wifi signal could barely reach my bedroom or the basement. Buffering like crazy. A good router took care of that problem.
Cat7 Ethernet cable and a cheap Real-Debrid account fixed it for me. Buffering is now a thing of the past on my Shield and Firesticks. Thanks Adam. 👍👍👍
👍👌🇨🇦❤, my main cause of buffering is that I have to keep going back and listen to the intro joke, a bit deaf I think, 🤔😉🤣, great stuff Adam, I think the girlfriend said I had a weak signal, 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That curiosity guy DOESN'T have an ORIGINAL thought in his head. 🙄😒 All of his videos are ALWAYS "AFTER" the REAL youtubers (FREE TECH , tech dr uk, firetvsticks, etc) post their helpful imformative videos. > Curiosity Cafe is a f*¢kin' HACK"."
@@FreeTech He's NOT the most tech savvy or helpful guy out there. ... If you want TECH SAVVY, check out "Tech Dr UK". He's incredible. YOU & HE are amongst my FAVORITE you tubers.👍🏻😎👍🏻 ... & I'm in America. 🙂
Here's hoping you can shed some light. I have a Philips Ambilight. Ethernet connection. I was watching iPlayer last night. It buffered in picture, then carried on buffering blank screen, then came back on for around 1 1/2 minutes, then did the same again and again and ag............ Other apps worked fine so unlikely to be my internet. Tried the app on an ipad and all worked fine. Any clue out of interest what it could have been? Also, they've changed the iPlayer logo so likely updated the app but I don't see any way of updating or uninstalling/reinstalling apps on my TV. I've read, go to Apps, go to Google Play (I haven't got Google Play). Or, go to App shelf, select manage apps. I don't have manage apps, iPlayer isn't in my App gallery either yet it is on my TV. Cheers me dears.
I started getting 5G the other day on my Galaxy phone and it buffers on RU-vid upload speeds are awful because it don't take dictation very well but does good on Amazon Prime and Netflix
thanks adam but getting real debrid when i watched you say about it since then no problems when watching anything keep up the great advice you give mate
Very good analogy mate. I’m off to find me a bridge now 😂😂 I also look for a link with h.265 compression. They buffer way less because they are smaller file sizes and they look good on my 75 inch Samsung
I agree about rebooting the router. I've done this a few times , leaving it off for 5 minutes and it's come back on BBC iPlayer with great picture quality.
Excellent and helpful video. Is it in your wheelhouse to do a video on routers? I know that a lot of people might know that they need a better router but they have no idea what to look for. All routers are definitely not built the same. Cheers!!
I am always happy to see your videos thanks! I had an issue in back of my mxpro tv box the AV is weird. I use different cables to connect to my PC capture link. Yellow is not always video.I just wanted to share this so you can clear people that Chinese boxes are not always yellow! Hahahahaha Just joking like you. I been searching some filelinks updated many new sites mine is HDTV to see all channels any where. Keep up the good work!
Am using KODI. Used to get buffering of my own videos on my home lan. Then I switched the video player in KODI to VLC. Now no buffering. It was a lot of adjustments to get VLC playing via KODI but well worth it.
Top guy very informative. Your jokes are like mine and the wife hates them. Every time we are with friends she will say, “don’t listen to his shit jokes!” 😂 I’m not naturally techie but self taught to work problems out myself and you come to the same logical conclusions. Nailed it mate! Can’t beat down to earth people 👍🏻
Hi buddy. What I do when looking at a film on any APK I just pause it when it starts for 5. To 10 minutes and does it every time. I hope that this will help.
My ISP was throttling me and a VPN is not bullshit it fixed my buffering. I would say use a VPN only as last resort as it's rarely going to fix buffering. In my case only my private IPTV service was buffering.
i just bought this Mini PC i9, Desktop Computer with Core i9-12900H, 14 Cores Upto 5.0GHz, Windows 11 Pro, 64G DDR4, 1T M.2 PCIE4.0 SSD, DP/HDMI/USB-C Triple Display, Support 8K/4K@60Hz, Dual LAN, WiFi6E/BT5.3 thinking this should be powerful enough to stop all buffering. And yet it doesn't. so is it possible its the website i am watching my movies off of then?
I split my network from a 2.4ghz/5ghz to contain a dedicated 5ghz network to which I now connect my firestick. No buffering (although I am only using standard streaming apps). I did send you an email Adam.
Got a firecube hardwired, 100mbs. 2 routers, hooked up to my linksys amc3200wrt. Have it flashed. Can run Nordvpn or Ipvanish and stream 4k np. With Real Debri.
I asked my internet provider for help with buffering and they helped change my internet settings and told me i won't have any problems anymore. They were right, but i also don't pick large files to stream.
I got Wi-Fi mesh 3x & 1 main router in the house but its still keep buffering RU-vid playstation is ok but IPTV keeps buffering, how that legal IPTV keep on without buffering can't watch NHL soccer and more
I'm convinced the servers I'm pulling from are throttling content. I also recently discovered my internet plan for 500G is per month breaks down to 16G per day then they throttle my usage
I have done these and sometimes it works. If it's a tv program or film I tend to go for the smaller size as when go for the bigger ones they don't tend to work, but don't no if it's down to my firestick as I think is gen2 I don't know if this is the part of probably and should upgrade to a more upto date stick. Is this worth it or just wasting my money👍
Hello I have laughed at your jokes for a long time. This is not a joke!! One addition to your buffering. We have satellite Internet 25mbps download maximum. Thanks to Rohas we purchased some cat 8 cables. Installed them broadband router to router and router to device. WOW!!! So I bought some for my good friends. Thinking it might just be me. Again Wow WOW WOW!!! Yes that's 3 yes votes!!!! You get a test report for each cable. I bought mine from amazon came from Ampcom China. The report shows why they work. So I suggest you try them. I think I am going deaf too!! Leigh Horton
My issue is on RU-vid a live stream starts buffering and hangs! I have a 300Mbs connection wired! It only does it on live streams!🤬 I can reduce the resolution to 240p and it will not buffer then!🤬
get rid of buffering all together , problem they have buffering on the internet , just put the videos and and dont add any buffering , get rid of ads and fine anyone caught putting ads on the internet 10k , that will smarten them up . force them to support the program without ads.
My question Cyberflix says movies in theaters. I can't see a movie that, just came out. Can answer that question. Don T get wrong I have seen movie usually after a month or 2 or week.
Use Chrome, add extension free vpn for chrome and turn on the vpn. Whenever you watch 4K just pause the video, change the settings to 1440p60 then play the video. It WORKS!
I changed to hooking up with an 8k Ethernet cable and almost no buffering. The rare times it does could just be the feed. Unbelievable difference. I also did this for a couple of friends. Same great results.
I’ve 2 firesticks I can stream discovery plus on the silk browser on one of them. The other firestick is in a different room, streaming is good but I cannot play discovery plus on the silk browser with out it without it buffering... please help .. it’s doing my head in .. cheers Paul.
Hi m8 just wondering if you can help me I’m of on holiday soon in tent and I’m thinking on getting a ee mobile broadband router is this okay to use as I want to take my fire stick with me cheers pal
I've got a problem which I don't think it's buffering, but I can't figure out what else it could be! On HDTV app, I load a stream, it waits a few seconds to buffer (perfectly fine) then plays but cuts out a few minutes later, and goes back to "choose a stream" screen. Click on the steam again, and it loads, plays for a few minutes, them stops again . It's not like the app crashes... But it doesn't buffer either! Anyone else getting this, and if so, any solutions found?
Hi, Adam. Hope you're well. Do you remember Reality Media? How do i get their app and get in contact with them. I need a new password. My last firestick broke. And I can't find them online. Thanks in advance if you can help. My subscription with them in up in October. So don't want to pay for another service I already have. Cheers
