Can you help me pls? I was opening some website on browser and on some part of the browser, i got buffering on the loading part which wont load the thing on the website at all, this has been happening for so long.
8:50 this is my problem, I will hit pause wait then hit play and it will only give me a few minutes of playable video no matter how long i wait. how do i increase this? I looked it up and something about increasing the cache on your browser might help but i can't actually find a way to do this. any thoughts? PS. I love videos like this great work!!
RU-vid is the only consistently slow channel. I use Netflix, Hulu, Paramount+, HBO and I rarely experience hitting the buffer wall. Is there anything that can be done, or I'm I stuck with it?
that is 100% incorrect. WiFi does not stand for anything. The name Wi-Fi has no further meaning, and was never officially a shortened form of "Wireless Fidelity". Nevertheless, the Wi-Fi Alliance used the advertising slogan "The Standard for Wireless Fidelity" for a short time after the brand name was created. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wi-Fi
8:59 don't know why but most current players only load/buffer so far and just sits waiting for you to press play. I miss the times where it would load/buffer the whole thing over time depening on your internet speed.
Because buffered video is stored on your RAM, so sure, they could buffer your whole video, but the RAM usage would be much more massive. So streaming services have to compromise and only buffer a bit of video, which for like YT, a buffered 1 min section of a video could also be using 300mb of ram. So imagine a whole 10 mins being buffered - 3gb of ram used for a single vid!
My friend in Hermosa Beach just got upgraded to 1Gbps....he's up/down 750Mbps and can achieve near 1Gbps when he factory resets his router. It's insane - he doesn't get buffering. I'm slightly jealous.
I have 15 MBps bandwidth, my downloading speed stays constant at around 1.2 Mb, If I'm using a media player other than youtube, then the video plays perfectly, but the buffering issue only occurs on RU-vid! What could be the problem?
I'll pick several video's and put them in different tabs, go through and wait for them to start then pause them all then go back to the first one and play it until it stops, then play the next one, and repeat the process. I do have an abundance of coiled coax cable from the dish to the router come to think of it, so if I can shorten the cable, I may have a better signal. 👍👍
You mentioned something I been questioning about a while now... You were saying about pausing video (RU-vid shown in your video) to let it load in more of the video... But why is it that a while ago, things changed, as it used to load the whole video, but now it will only load a small portion when I do pause, then start loading a bit at a time while playing? This is an issue sometimes. it can sometimes have it playing then caught up to what is loaded in and have to wait to load more before continues to play. We recently hooked up a _new_ modem of the same model as before, but still the same deal.
Very informative video, but Im still struggling. Not sure if its RU-vid thats the problem, but I cant get videos to buffer at all when using 1080p. Only this last week and I've done everything from changing the DNS to factory reset to getting a new router. Any advice?
If it's WiFi buffering try testing with an ethernet cable from your computer to the Router and re-test at the router. Disconnect or turn off all your devices connected to your router, reboot the Router and test the speed with just your computer connected by ethernet to your router. Then start adding your devices one by one. You have to make sure the SPECS coming from your Service Provider is running as per the specs from your Service Provider's Package. If you're not getting what you paid for from your Service Provider then all the other adjustments on your equipment could be useless tests. Start from the Source, your Service Provider's Router/Modem by itself by ethernet on your computer directly connected. Then continue on to testing your equipment and WiFi one by one.
@@LironSegev Check out the Silver Mountains at Chloride, AZ near kingman...just go to Grasshopper Junction and cross over the highway 66 onto the dirt gravel road for about 5 miles and you'll reach chloride, make your way though the mining area on the NE corner of that tiny "village" or ghost town and go past the murals...4x4 high clearance vehicle required from that point on....enjoy this hidden and least talked about Gem. I hiked through this area during the cool weather months.
@@LironSegev this video clip was filmed there in the middle of the town, I'm the Shoe Shine person in the beginning, that part of town is still there. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_PThQ2T23TU.html

Newbe here! How do I access router settings. I could probly figure it out but just thought I would ask while I'm right here . dig ur channel BTW. I really need it because I wanna learn all I can about tech!
the router itself should have an firmware update button (usually under Settings or Setup or Update). If not, go to the manufacturer's website, enter the model number and look for firmware version there. It will also have instruction on how to update yours.
sound effects are an unsubscribe. Sorry, but it think twice before you raise the gain or volume in you vids. It's painful, it hurts my brain, induces a headache. I'm a bit angry because this sound effect stuff and flashing is what advertisers do, everyone hates Adds....right... don't we?
