I recently started my sewing business and I’m selling practically everything I make through a local store (no commission, $10 shelf rent/month) with custom orders every week. Thank you for inspiring me.
The market footage was interesting and the interviews were fun. I hope you're able to do more of those in the future as it's always interesting to see what's for sale and how people market their wares. OMG what a huge weekend with Sale, Heyfield and Pakenham. Hooray for doing better than you'd anticipated. I hope by now you are on holidays. Regatds, Simone 🐈 💞
Thank you! Will definitely try get more footage I might even gain the courage to bring my camera with me instead of using my phone. Definitely was excited to do better than expected 🥰 We leave Sunday! Countdown is on hehe thanks Simone 🥰
Something I used to do with my car packing for markets was to drape a yoga mat over my top table and tuck the ends between the two tables. It served the purpose of preventing the tables from scratching my car interior AND was grippy enough that the boxes wouldn’t slide around. Love your vids - so chill and just what I need when I want some background while crafting! 🥰
I am a crafter that does many different things. My main thing is making rugs on a loom. I also do jewelry and crochet as well. I have been wanting to get into sewing and just today purchased my first sewing machine. You have given me so ideas of things to do. Thank You
Well done! 3 markets in a weekend, phew! I do love your sewing and market vlogs, I love seeing which fabrics you sew up and how you go at the markets. Such a lovely atmosphere at the markets.
Followers mean we follow you where you go, you take us with you, we enjoy your company and your content 🥰keep doing what you are doing, we are a community here ☺️
Absolutely love watching your business grow. I started watching you last year. Well done on smashing 3 markets! Your prep and dedication is awesome ❤️❤️
I had a really rough day and it's been motivating to watch your video. Would love a video explaining the market process for beginners. Like costs and how you find markets. Thanks Taylah!
I am watching this and feeling jealous as over here in Perth, pretty much all markets have been cancelled until next month as our covid numbers rise. Looking forward to selling my scrunchies, bows, masks and wired heachbands again soon! This video really makes me motivated to want to try and get selling again!
Really enjoyed your market video. Big day for me today, it looks like my scrunchies were delivered to the receiving room in my building yesterday. I should get them today. Yeah!
Hello... I just found you on youtube, and have been watching your videos and I'm enjoying watching you sew. I am confused on how your turning the tubes with you handmade stick thing your dad made you, and was wondering if you could show how your starting the tube in a slower way? You make some beautiful items! Wished I had this knowledge when I was younger because I would have done like you. Having internet, and all the technology of today helps a lot too! lol... Your very ambitious for such a young lady, and I wish you luck with all you do!
That was awesome! It was great going along to the shows. I really enjoyed your preparation, the packing of the car, and each setup. You amaze me every time with each video. TFS
I love your vlog they are so interesting. What a crazy few two days you had doing the 3 markets back to back .I am so glad you did well. You work so hard. Take care xx
Mandy thanks for this Video. I know ist very exchausting to prepare a market and you take us with you.thats amazing. I don't know any Video like this in Germany. Viele Grüße aus Deutschland.
Sería genial si pusiera subtitulos a sus videos y asi poder entender todo lo que dice para las personas que la seguimos y que no entendemos mucho inglés 🤗🥰
I'm really impressed with you and your work ethic! Fun product and all handmade! Keep up the good work and my best wishes foe continued success! And I love that you included your 'neighbors' in the video so they could get some free exposure! Most kind of you! (hugs) 🤗
Loved the video, new to your channel but this video brought me back to the days we did sales. It's been a few years since my dad passed we (mom and I) quit when dad passed as his wood working things were the bulk of our products.
I have a good business idea for you to try. Go to your local thrift shops and ask the store manager to keep a box of “throw away" clothing for you to buy at a flat rate. (they throw out anything that isn't floor ready) It'd help in many ways, you'd get material for cheap, the money you do pay helps charity, and it'd keep reusable goods out of the landfill! This idea would also make for an eco-friendly /repurposed material line for your products, which people are just in love with right now! *Quick note, I share this idea with basically every serious scrunchie channel I watch. Hopefully this idea will help charities and reduce waste. 😁
Hi Tayla, I have been watching your videos from UK and you always inspire me to continue my scrunchies, hairclips and bows business. I have been doing my sewing for almost 2years now during my spare time. I have 2kids and fulltime job and hopefully this year I will start selling my scrunchies and more. Can you please give me any advice. ILOVE YOUR WORK SO MUCH..
Very enjoyable, as always, Taylah! Really liked your interviews with neighboring booth owners. You're very good at that! That would be an interesting side series for your channel. Hope you've been feeling better these days (you seem a bit more energetic lately). Hugs to you, Flo and Rhys!
With my polo when I pack it, the boot bottom comes out to make it deeper and the back seats , the part you sit on come out so you can lay the seats down completely flat. Meaning I can fit more stuff in it 🤣
Love your videos 💗 I’ve started my own business (we’ll attempting) but I’m nervous to actually go through with it cause I fear failure 😞 Hope to see a DIY for your XL scrunchies ! Much love form Hawaii 💗
You should go for it!:) it's okay to fail. You learn and grow as you go, it's a journey. With every failure brings you closer to your success:) you have to start somewhere🌈💗
Loved this video :) I would love to see your market setup in real time too (not all of it just portions) cause I feel like you are moving super speedy without even the fast forward effect hahaha just a theory I have I know its sped up super fast but i feel like in real life your just like bam bam bam done anyway without any special speedy effects, especially with putting the wooden dowels in the boards that looks so fast!
Hey lovely please may you do a video on the best way to take photos with models or yourself please as all your photos look great and that’s my number one struggle x Also I’ve got one of my first markets this weekend how to decide what stock to take there’s so much x
I can try! Ive been using a light box recently and using my camera for photos too and getting screenshots from my RU-vid for Instagram photos. I’ll pop it on my list to do 🥰 I hope you do well! Good luck 😊
Hi Taylah - I'm very inspired by your work - it's amazing! I hope you don't mind my asking but I would like to know what size you cut your fabric for regular and XL scrunchies? This is so I start on cutting my own fabric. I've looked through your videos but can't find that - pls forgive if it's somewhere and just hard for me to find! Best wishes to you and I hope you and your community recover from the flood asap, Rosalind
Do you mind sharing where you purchase your woven sew in tags from? I feel like the ones I order are a bit pricey! I'd love to use them on EVERYTHING, but I find that I rarely use them....I know I should..... Anywho - thank you for your videos!
Hey my name is Emma Kate and I’m 14. I have a small business called doodles by Emma Kate! I was just wanting to say you have been such an inspiration for my business. Can I ask where you got your tent and what brand it is?
Hi Tylah, could you make a video on how to calculate shipping for etsy Austpost please. I tried to set up my etsy shop but I stopped because I'm not sure how to charge my shipping cost. Thanks in advance.
I love your videos. So informative for other entrepreneurs. If you don't mind me asking, what percentage of your sales come from your websites versus the markets?
Hey taylah! I’m wondering what you do for payments at markets!? I have my first one coming up. Do you use things like square reader? Venmo? What’s been easier & more customer friendly? Thanks!!
Sometimes I do! But it’s very awkward to put it up by myself so there’s usually at least 1 person per market that will offer to help me which I’m very thankful for as it makes it’s 10000x easier
