every time I went to Paris, I meet at least two middle aged female North Americans wearing a beret, striped top and red lipstick. I find it cute but they do stick out a lot lol.
I was in Paris for 3 days (Feb 13-16).Like any country, just be aware of ur surroundings and ur personal stuff. Most of the high-end stores are near the Arc de Triomphe. Just wear wat u are comfortable in. If u wanna save money, include breakfast in the hotel u are staying at. Take some cup noodles to save money .I had a nice time . The people i came across were friendly and helpful. No one is going to snatch ur phone as most people are texting, on a call ,or taking pics. Sometimes, the negative comments about some incident happened to 1 in 10000 or more is all that's needed to ruin ur vacation. Enjoy .
I live in the suburbs and work in Paris. They will steal from your bags, not snatch it from your hands. I caught people trying to do it to me several times.
This person experience is 1 in 1000000 cases. Usually it's being scammed and pickpockets in day light , and followed by uncooperative police and parisan rude as fuck
Great tips! I would also say another tip is to keep your hands on your pockets so they can’t run up and braid a bracelet on your hand. I know a few people that have been caught with that.
Actually wearing bright colors is the perfection option. I visit Paris once a month and bright colors may make u stand out, pick pocketers won’t try to get at u as it’s not in the interest for them
3 things to live through visiting in Paris, number 1 is to book dinner on top of the eiffel tower Jules Verne, a best Michelin 2 star restaurant with the breath taking view. Number 2 is staying in the center city, convenient to reach all the tourist attractions. Number 3 is do wear fashionably in Paris.
Just don't eat at restaurants at all. Saves a lot of money you can spend better on tourist attractions or in general food places on the street. Biggest tip is just to rent bikes and not a taxi or uber since with bikes you can see the whole city in 1 day
I live in the netherlands but I have honestly no clue how the traincard thing works. I found it all super confusing to go with the metro and train. I went with a traveling company by bus and they could also bring us to disneyland because it was included but we didn't go there. Also if you're going to disney land go for multiple days since the lines are extremely long and fast lane passes are super expensive. I recommend going to disney with a bus or uber. Maybe by train or metro but I don't know how to navigate with it in Paris. @@maddfrost

some restuarants are really worth it but choose wiselly and spend a little more for actual french cuisine that you wont get anywhere else. Avoid tourist traps , one great thing are boulangeries sandwitches with baguette, not expensive, typical and delicious. For the really good french restaurant you have to book early on.
Paris restaurants have high quality food at an affordable price compared to London or NY. Look for a good brasserie and order a steak frites or a tartare. xx
1. Been to Paris on my own a dozen times, always carry a designer bag. Never been targeted. In fact, I stay near Gare du Nord and there are hardly any anymore. Restaurants are generally the same price anywhere, the area around Eiffel are residential so very quiet.
near gare du nord with a designer's bag ^^ are you trying to have them killed or traumatized? They should stay in less touristic areas like the 11 or 12 th district, calm, less expensive and more authentic.
@@anujadeshmukh8650 Get an airbnb close to any metro station. Parisians are cool and do help foreigners. Go to you tube and research neighborhoods. Never encountered any negative situations. Hotels in main areas are very expensive. My sisters have such a hard time cause I got an airbnb and gave me some much grief. I sacrificed a lot for them and once they realized savings they shut their mouths. Even neighborhood while not the greatest had many restaurants, cafes and bars. So they were very happy fast. Metro is amazing and just be close. Even if the actual area is at least a 30-45 min ride to center. We got on buses to explore and never got lost and if we did, taxis will help. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-j8ObddnFBPg.htmlsi=MvrqpSmgifdY8kYy
Someone can pick pocket me all they want I have everything in my phone case and keep it in my bra I think I’m good I don’t like purses or anything else I have to hold 😂😂😂
Everyone who sees this comment, this is not the reality of Paris in this video. My dad has a friend whos been to Paris and its dirty as fuck. There are so many protests, according to his friend, and DO NOT GO TO PARIS⚠️⚠️⚠️
@@bharris4517 there are various reasons why people say this. Look up what’s called paris syndrome. Basically people’s expectations are so high that they get disappointed when they realise Paris is a real city with big city issues just like anywhere else
Why are so many french people dunking their own capital and people? you sound lame doing this. you all say the same thing , it's ridiculous, you get to have one of the most beautiful cities in the world and seem too stupid to apreciate it.
Because people have very high expectations about paris@@bharris4517 its a great city to visit but its been extremely romanticized especially for americans and east asians. They often forget its a city and not A theme park. Besides in the most touristic areas (trocadéro, eiffel tower,...)there are many pickpockets and those souvenirs merchants who occupy thesidewalk and the tourists elave trash on the floor often.
I been there 12 years ago, life was different back then allmlst no one had smartphones so my experience of paris was very different from yours, at that time paris was more rich and now they are poor and alot of crime
Paris is Poor ?😂😂😂😂😂😂 probably because you can’t afford living a rich life there, that’s it. … Paris is one of the cities with the highest number of billionaires.
