3 mixed media collages 

You’ll get a kick out of this…. I had thrown away some really cool tissue paper from a shoe box with unusual star patterns that my new shoes were wrapped up in. I actually paused your video and went and pulled the tissue paper out of the trash! You have inspired me!!

Yes, the last one has great communication between the layers. It is like going to a fun party where the guests are very different but have a wonderful rapport. Thanks for sharing the process! There is always a lot to absorb. ☺

The creative process can certainly be frustrating at times, but when everything works out, it is worth the effort. I like the final collage piece -- it has a balance and complexity that pleases the eye. Thank you for yet another fascinating process video!

Thanks for answering some questions for us. I had noticed that you always cut your collage pieces and that’s unusual. I had also wondered why you used ModPodge rather than matte medium. I really enjoy the ideas and techniques for Gelli Plate inspiration.

i'm using your technique of mod podge & a nylon bristled brush; i like it very much. the collage pieces seem more securely adhered.

Such fun! I love how you seem to waste nothing, using both your brayer-off papers and your warm-up exercises in your art pieces. I’m curious to know whether the fact that you know these will later be used in your finished pieces influences how you brayer off and the colours and forms of your warm-up exercises. I notice for example that you don’t completely clean your brayer on the brayer-off sheet, you just roll briefly in a chosen direction then soak your brayer.

Torn or cut papers? I have always used torn in the collages I've made over the last several years, but since watching your videos recently I am switching to primarily cutting. The effect is different and puts me in mind of the collages of the 60s. I like it.
