Great video Alic. I don't see a lot of good content being produced about arrangements, yet this is what the amateur producer struggles with most. I would love to see more of the similar content being made. Maybe do a set of creating a track from scratch, including starting with your arrangement.

I’ve been struggling with micro arrangement for years, but recently I’ve picked up some great tips by listening to progressive music like Opus as you showed here, where it’s all about the minor variations that keeps adding movement to the music, rather than massive buildups and drops. Anyways, great content as always, production quality is top notch and I’m so happy for you ❤️

I usually pick a track that I like and then I start adding markers in my project. I was wondering how this small pieces like a 2-beat-filter before starting a new part were called. With this video now it is really easy to understand why top artists are doing this to make less predictable and amazing tracks!! Thanks for sharing ^^

Hi alice, thank you for another great structure video. I have the most difficulty I think with this. At least at the moment. And it’s great to see and identify the similarities and differences between pop music and progressive/techno. Sometimes I think they are completely different things. What I find most difficult is the fact that “music has no rules”. But of course there are best practices that lead to music being compelling versus not. I’d always be interested in more content about arranging and structuring songs of various types. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to teaching.

This is even better than the last one you did on the subject. That was the most useful video I ever watched, it made me realise how unstructured my tracks were..... This one helps me understand some of the more advanced songwriting concepts that I didn't understand in that one too. I still don't really understand how a track can have 4 verses and no chorus but hopefully one day that lightbulb will go off haha. There probably is room for another video on the subject tbh. Particularly the trick of automating the bpm on the master channel. I think a lot of tracks use this and its never really discussed, I see a lot of reference tracks wander from the grid long before the break and I can't see how else they do it.....

Please do more structure videos. I have been buying a ton of vinyl this year. And I came across a track with a VERY interesting arrangement that I think works extremely well. Its called 'Poison' by 'Surrogate'. On trapid recordings. Can you please use it in a video at some point. Or at least go listen to it. Its very good! It has a really interesting arrangment, and a solid groove. 🙂✌keep up the great content!

@@Alice-Efe As always. Still I would really like to know how do you manage to do such full sound, especially with Serum. I have it, but basically just always use Reveal Sound Spire and Dune. Makes me think if you would not mind, can I ask for some video, with just basslines, making patches, make them sound full. With compression and distortion? I always have such a plane basslines that it makes me depressed. Just a suggestion. I am also making trance and dnb, so it's sort of different, but still in Coldharbor style bassline in this video is similar. Sorry for the wall of text, but I am trying to produce and it simply does not bring the goods : (

@@M1chlos @Michal Žídek Most of the tricks I use actually playing with voices, using analog wavetables (This is very important) and using noise to modulate different parameters to get Serum more analog. On top of that, of course the processing sound afterwards. I prefer not using Serum FX that much as there are better alternatives often for any FX outside Serum ☺☺
