I am glad that you brought up prison because even in a self defense situation if you injure or kill your attacker(s) - prison will be your next stop. I've just come out of an almost 4 year legal battle to prove my innocence in a self defense case. The emotional, physical and monetary toll on yourself and loved ones is greatly taxing. Learn self defense and if he ever lifts his hand, give it back to him and tell him how you feel when he makes fun of you and abuses you. As for you making fun of him and abusing him in a friendly way - you stood your ground and let him know how you felt when he does it to you. Where are you from btw? As for your question, why does it always happen to you, it’s hard to say but it could be because they see you as an easy target? That’s why I suggested learning self defence and also working out.

@@Classic_SSG_EnjoyerI am Indian too and I could tell from your post that you are from that part of the world. While I realize that the gang culture is very strong, keeping quiet for too long will take a big toll on your mental health. Learn communication skills and assertively speak up. Tell your friend that it bothers you when he makes fun of you and when he abuses you. For example “I know you think it’s funny when you make fun of me and abuse me, but I do not appreciate your behavior. I would like you to stop. If you continue such behavior, I will have to distance myself from you.” Practice speaking in front of the mirror. Learn communication skills from RU-vid. Excellent explanations of the motivations and psychology of the city street. It's exactly why I moved to the country: It's civilized out here. @@hirondelle8734 Like I said, law of the jungle. So glad I left...but don't mistake that for weakness. There's truth to the "try that in a small town" thing. If you're behaving badly in a small town, no one will care what the color of your skin is. They'll just "take out the garbage". But, if you're civilized and well mannered, you'll be welcome and no one will care what the color of your skin is.

@@hirondelle8734 "Competition for scarce resources is tougher in cities" Seriously? The problem isn't that it's "tougher" (it isn't), it's cultural: the culture of being totally self-serving without consideration for others (or the law). If you really want to see what people are like in the city vs out in the country, take a drive in each place. Drive strictly within the law. In the city, you'll get cut off, flipped off, etc. for being too slow. Out in the country (don't go to a "tourist" area) you'll fit right in, and people might just wave to say "hi".
@richardunruh4035

@@hirondelle8734 I took your challenge. I did look. Anyone can: resources.hud.gov/ They don't put affordable housing out in the country. It's all in the city. My neighbor owns (inherited) forested acreage. He has a day job, but he has to supplement his income cutting (dead & dying) trees for firewood. Turning trees into firewood is seriously hard work, for which he gets paid the equivalent of about $20/hour - and he has to buy and maintain the chainsaws, oil, gas, other tools and the truck to deliver it. It also has to be stacked for drying a year ahead of time. Don't give me a sob story about how it's tougher in the city.

Not fighting strangers in the street is a fairly easy thing to do. Observe body language, be respectful, mind your business, and be alert for gang or criminal activity. When you see suspicious behavior, avoid it. Don't walk down a lonely alley if you see people huddled in there trying to be secretive. Don't try to be a hero and save the day when you don't know the people involved. Be keenly aware of when you are outside of your normal environment. Find a local to guide you when visiting new places. Learn street smarts. Street smarts saves more lives than martial arts.

I see some of these situations as people who want attention or someone who is comfortable starting trouble because they have the advantage of strength in numbers. In my experience walking away in a calm manner usually ends the conflict because they don't want to leave their space. Also any sly or disrespectful comment with met with a no response. Whatever emotional response they are looking for doesn't happen and it ends the conflict.

You are conditioned to one style of movement, then a change of country leads to you not getting the social ques as to how the locals behave. This reminds me of a guy I used to work with when I was in my 20s. He was a really nice, friendly guy, but when we would go out to a bar and he got a little alcohol in him, he completely changed. He would pick some random guy in the bar, walk up to him, and just start staring right into his eyes. It was always resulted in a physical fight. Like, in less than a minute. I found it idiot and infuriating, and in fact, we all quit inviting him out because we got tired of having to jump in to break up his stupid fights. But it was also fascinating to watch. I think there is something about men that if a man is making too much eye contact with another man, it’s like some sort of animal instinct gets triggered, and there’s simply no stopping the fight.

well it's pretty weird to just stare at someone so yeah it's a provocation especially if it is done in not a nice way....

This video could be from law enforcement CCTV footage. Criminals often know exactly where recording devices are... which mitigates their choice of tactics. No need for pesky evidence.

The way that bloke came back and held the guys arm, with a pincer grip, above the elbow, would be the first sign he probably knows how to fight. 🤔

My 5-year-old son seems to like to dominate his own space on the street. Once i saw he pushed away a boy who was one-head taller than my son, passing my son’s way, but Fortunately that boy who was pushed didn’t react at that moment.

And i have a question. Have you had to defend your self out in the street?if so what happened? Ive been attacked before when i was a teen and its funny because someone once told me they wouldnt mess with me in the street because of how i look but i know im not a fighter. 1 of your videos talked about how stress can cause a person to basically freeze and thats what happened to me .

When someone feels disrespected, that’s the trigger. Not moving out the way, or moving your shoulder, is disrespectful. Some people can’t candle that and save face by getting arsey.

Thanks for the suggestion. Discussing the difference between talent and hardwork would be an interesting video. Funny enough I was discussing this very issue in class the other day. My main observation is that talented individuals give up more easily when things don't go their way. There's a number of reasons why. Let me think of a title then I can make the video. Thanks for watching.

It’s ok to back down or apologise, even if you didn’t start anything. I difficult one is where they say “What are you lookin at?!” cause they’re accusing you of starting something, and if you say “nothing” it can be construed as you calling them nothing.

I think with men, just from an evolutionary point of view, there is a kind of automatic social structure between men. Everyone who doesn't have social deficits knows how to behave and when to retreat or go to fight, depending on how strong or dominant the opponent is, and you know that in advance. You can also see this with animals, before you commit to a deadly fight, the chances are assessed beforehand, it's a matter of life or death.

As the Sun becomes more active during the Solar Cycle, certain haplogroups are going to become energized and excited primarily, before the rest or humanity. The effect of electromagnetic waves on the human brain, focused by the structure of the skull into the hypothalamus initially causes excitation and energization of growth hormones, and then behavioral changes, and then ultimately lethargy and vegetative states with further exposure and increased amplitude and modulation. The behavioral changes start with being more active, energetic and positive, then overactivity with irritability, then aggressiveness leading towards conflict and homicide. When noted in the video that more conflicts occur during the hot months, it came to mind the fact of the Sun influencing our behavior. Scientists have noted that there is a correlation of homicide rates to solar minimums and maximums, and areas of high impact near the equator, and the peak of our current solar cycle is due between 2024, and 2025, in elevating fashion. Be prepared, be aware, and try to hold on. More people have been getting killed randomly and without cause than ever before. More wars are initiating and escalating than ever before. Stay in shape, but aim for peace, and believe in The Most High Creator to bring you through these Troubling Times. May you be blessed, in health and well-being. Amein

It's feasible that there are greater forces that influence our behaviour. It just requires greater study. Thanks for adding.
