Thank you so much for the encouragement! So many of these vloggers are spending thousands of dollars on Stage kits, shocks, bars, etc. I'm starting to think I've got a piece of stock crap Harley D. I have done a few upgrades like windshield, and some LED lights. Plan on upgrading radio speakers and bars later on. I have a 2020 but mine is Standard 107. So far, I think it's fine the way it is. Thanks again 4 encouraging me!
I just bought a 2020 Roadglide S my second Roadglide that windshield is goofy I left the windscreen stock I wear ear plugs.No wind buffeting music sounds clear and I can talk to fellow riders.I agree the handlebars are not great looking but they are designed to the bike.T bars or chiseled bars force you forward over the gas tank and out of an upright touring posture.If your bar hopping or canyon running then yes change them but touring distance 350 mile days,you’ll feel it the next day.The shocks feel nice I have them set at 5 my wife’s 2017 Road Glide S at 10 k rode horrible switched to Legend Revo A shocks really nice. At 63 I am toning it down a bit this vehicle does a lot right and a few things no so much. Goes in for a complete exhaust,Stage 2,rear lighting, heated grips,shorty antenna , rider back rest and highway pegs. love this bike ride safe
To those new to Roadglides upon your new purchase do Nothing until at least your first 1k service.I traded my 2010 Custom for a 2020RGS this bike is awesome AS IS for the most part.I wanted bars took it up to the kettle moraine and ran the twisties this bike slinks the turns these bars are designed for touring you sit up right no bend in your back any change in bars pulls you forward you will never make a 400 mile day with those bars sorry, two 400 mile days back to back with other bars . The windshield is stock, the shocks are stock and set at 5. I am 5’10” Wind buffeting I wear ear plugs can still hear music and talk. Did a stage 2 torque cams, full Vance & Hines exhaust, intake, Pro tune with smart tune the bike rocks for this 63 year old love it. My wife has a 2017 RGS at 10 k on the OD did put on a set of Ledgend Revo A rear shocks huge improvement stage 1 everything else stock with 17 k on the OD.
Make it 4 things! Add a more comfortable seat. I bought a 2020 Street Glide same seat as on a Road Glide. Your girlfriend will love you for it. Plus you will like it also.
I don;t like Harley but I love that number 1 on the side of that tank. At one time that had some meaning to it and now it is just flat out false advertising but it is nostalgic, and that's a good thing..
Apes and t bars both look and feel ridiculous to me. I ride the mountains or Colorado and love my stock bars. I'm not into the arms above my shoulder socket look or feel, why buy a bike with a faring to raise your hands from behind it into the wind?
