I remember that too! I remember that because of the persecution one faced if they made any sort of predictions of the future, Nostradamus chose to write his down in a poetic prose form and call them Quatraines (if I spelled that right). This makes it all the harder to decipher his predictions.

I wasn't alive in '83 but I could swear they showed reruns of it in the 90s and it was one of the first times I heard the name Nostradamus.

I couldn't agree more! Dig deep into them, and they could be applied to just about anything. Were they written by his admirers after the events in question? it's very possible, and in my opinion, likely what happened.

@@josi4251 Nostradamus' prophecies were written in one book of 10 chapters called 'Centuries' and published during his lifetime. Most are too cryptic to be applied to a specific event or person, but some are eerily accurate. That is why he is still famous 500 years later. Unfortunately, you are right, many are mis-translated, modified, cut up, or flat out faked by his fans. This video is the perfect example of flat out lying to get a few clicks on RU-vid. It is complete BS. Everything he wrote, he wrote in quatrains, which is a 4 line verse. Anytime anyone says "Nostradamus said...." And they say ANYTHING other than 4 lines, it is a lie. At the very best, they are giving you 1 line from the quatrain. That is like taking one line from a song and using it as proof that the song is about you. What about the rest of the song? lol I find them interesting, and well worth the research. But if you take a statement about a Bear and an Eagle fighting, and a Dragon killing them both, it could be about Russia, America and China, or any of 1,000 other things over the course of 500 years.

Then there's the San Andreas fault line to consider. 😮 I grew up in S FL and with every hurricane I swore that Mother Nature was trying to knock Florida off of the rest of the country. I mean, look at it. Just hanging there surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean on two sides and the Gulf of Mexico on the other. The only thing attaching it to the rest of the country is Georgia. And maybe a little bit of Mississippi, with the Pan Handle. One good hurricane that wraps around the state and gets the Gulf beating up the west coast and Florida might not exist anymore.
