I have passed by the Maytree and Edward & Irwin a thousand times yet never even considered stepping in. Next time I will. My daughter lives in the area so I will remind her, though she's probably way ahead of me on those. And yes, Mary's Milk Bar is a must. The ice cream - the menu changes daily - is superb. And on a nice day one can sit up the Vennel steps (right next to Mary's) and savour not only the ice cream but also the wonderful view of the castle. Another fab video. I'm binging watching today. Thank goodness watching you, unlike partaking in all that chocolate, isn't fattening.

Thank you for this. Based on your tip I popped into Maytree last Saturday (following a fine lunch at Bross Bagel) for a hot chocolate to takeaway. As I took the first sip of my Winterspice as I walked down the road, I stopped in my tracks, it was so good. I felt the need to return to the cafe to thank them tell how much I was enjoying it. I went back again the next day.

@@ihatecrazyfrog Ruby chocolate is quite interesting isn't it? I really enjoyed trying it on its own at the Chocolatarium, I never really tasted much of nuance in it when used together with other ingredients!
