WOW you can really tell it's good stuff about the mental game aspect because the guy in the pic is pointing to his head. This shows him pointing to his brain. Its good stuff.

I am a pool player, and this advise is so very true in that sport as well. Pool is about 80% mental and 20% physical. Never get emotionally invested in the results. You must only focus on the task and execution. When you go on tilt, it seems to create good fortune for your opponent. I am a high level pressure player in the game of pool, and I never thought to bring that mental skill to the poker table. Thanks for this info Alec!

I play pool for a living and have also been playing poker on the side for a long time. It's crazy how similar the two games are in certain aspects. I actually find poker to be an extremely good mental training for my pool game. At a higher level (in both games) it can even improve other parts such as shot selection and awareness of situational advantages. Super interesting imo, cool to see fellow pool players here!

I’m new and trying to learn more strategy and your channel is the first that is extremely engaging! Seriously all the other channels just use PDF’s. Thank you I already learned so much from two videos. Something happened at a table earlier today that I didn’t fully understand until you explained it. THANK YOU!

The zoom out when your on tilt is great, just like day trading you can focus on the one minute chart and the mistakes you just made but zooming out on the daily, monthly, or 6 month chart will show you the whole real picture and than you realize your not doing so bad after all

#3 made the biggest impact on me. It reminded me of Ben Affleck's character in "Boiler Room" telling his stock market broker trainees to "act as if..." Very wise words!

I can’t seem to get back at all. I’ve stopped playing. Being a rec it’s the hardest game ever. It destroys me mentally.

You have to keep money on the side that you don't need for monthly bills. The pressure of losing is because you might be playing with important money. If money is not the problem then realize that your progress will take time and you are basically investing for long term success. Just don't play loose. Tighten up when necessary. The key is to find the fish and stay worry free when you playing.

Being a rec can be an advantage because you have an image you can exploit. That said, you need pro level skills to consistently outplay the competition. Check out some of our trainings at www.consciouspoker.com - wide range from free to premium.
