Another tip: don't go alone against the tank in the enemy team because you think you are dps

Biggest tip of all is to go directly in front of your team when ulting. After all you wouldn’t want to waste the piercing effect on teammates right?

Tip 1: when you press e, make sure to press right click. left click kills your teammates. Tip 2: when you stop healing your teammates will take dot until they die, so it's better not to heal at all! Just keep holding right click. Tip 3: You can use fade to flank behind the enemy team, throw the damage orb and assassinate a squishy. Who cares if you dies, at least you traded. WHAT IS YOUR TEAM DOING?

Big tip, always throw orb before you ult, it will get value and come back by the time your ult ends

The first tip is absolutely terrible for new players. DON'T throw the orb angled down... then it just bounces off the ground, off the next wall, and into the sky. You usually want to launch it perfectly level with the ground, preferably towards a flat surface so you can bounce it back toward yourself or teammates. Straight up and down does work, if you happen to have a flat roof overhead. And a better second tip, for max burst healing, instead of just holding the spray on, would be first tap the spray, then launch a healing orb, then hold spray. That way you have the heal-over-time going while you're in the launching orb animation. Another Pro (newbie) tip... throwing either orb into a 90-degree corner will bounce it right back at you. Aiming to the right of the corner will cause it to return to your left, and aiming to the left of the corner will return it to your right.

another tip: if you need heal juice, you can spam your attack instead of holding it down and it will fill faster

Also if your primary healing bar runs out keep taping the dmg alternative on an enemy to regenerate it faster

One tip I would have thrown in there is to combine ult by throwing an orb before using ult in order to chain the two together for max healing or damage effect!

All jokes aside. Are there more tips for moira? I really want to be the best use for my team and these tips are already starting to become common practice. Is there more advice you could give so I can start practicing? Cuz sometimes it feels like I'm carrying the team with heals and then they ignore me then I get focused and die almost immediately

Tip from Moira Main: use ult when your team is in middle of crouded fight, don't come close, stay back and blast it, enemy will get damage and u will heal your team as they also deal damage to oponent. It helped me a lot in Comppetetive plays Just make sure your other support Lucio or Zen doesn't ult, becouse if they do you are just going to waste good healing

you're missing 1 essential part.. Spamming right click on an opponent will recover your juice faster then holding right click

I’ve been a support player for a long time and it somehow literally never occurred to me that throwing an orb angled down is a good way to heal a target more.

Im a new Moira main and I already did the first one. I dont really mind wasting away my healing bar, I just need to keep in mind the timing for the healing orb. & lastly when using her coalescence super I always focus on one target at a time.

Whenever I play Quick Play I’d say 1 in every 5 games has a Moira who doesn’t heal and thinks their a dps hero, really frustrating.

Dude I've been using her wrong all along. I usually throw it straight all the time and just run in full heal all my teammates untill full 😂

one thing I have seen if u do a little jump then fade almost at the end of the animation and do supper jump u can get slightly further

I discovered how everyone plays Moira wrong if they are in a 1v1. It's the same thing with ronin from Titanfall 2. You don't use fade backwards to get out of trouble, you use it forwards to get behind the enemy and deal more damage and thus healing yourself and keeping you in the fight for longer

Another tip, if you tap her biotic grasp instead of holding it you get charge faster for your heal.

To the first point it’s more advanced then just hit the dirt. Always throw the orb so it comes back. If it’s healing throw it towards the nearest wall that will rebound it back into the fight. Make sure you get the full healing. For damage most squishy targets will try to back pedal from an advancing Moira. Throw the orb towards the wall behind them before you engage primary fire. Then in shock when they first see the damage they will turn and back away so the wall rebound will be keeping the damage orb locked on more. If you see where you think they will try to disengage towards like a hallway or door try to lead them by throwing the orb towards that. Moira is strong in the open but deadly in a closed environment. Most importantly above all else. Mercy is your natural prey. Kill it first

If you want to play moira properly you almost never want to use damage orb unless a few squishies are left alive and your team is good on heals. you RUN OUT OF HEALING a lot quicker if you use damage orbs more often, especially if the enemy have a shield tank then you cant get heal charge reliably.

Fun fact: sigma and moria have the same default highlight intro.

Never use fade to engage only to disengage

How does the orb speed work

Better off bouncing the orb off a flat surface so it goes out and comes back. Throwing on an angle ensures the orb will not come back and is super situationally optimal.

While these tips are good and Moira has huge burst healing. She's also very linear. She's a 2 dimensional character in a 3 dimensional game. While other supports give damage boost, tank fu... Discord orb, suzu, protection, speed and immortality, moira only gives healing which every other support can do.
