An Overwatch 2 Moira Fade Jumping Tutorial!
I've only had old guides on the channel for a while now, and while they are still valid in the approach, I thought a refreshed version with a simplistic method of learning would help some people.
This is the easiest way to both learn fade jumps and understand how they work. We keep the time between fade and jump as a constant and simply adjust the distance to the object depending on its height.

Great tutorial! Could you add the more advaced fade too perhaps? Like the one where there is a bridge above you facing enemy underneath, you fade backwards first and than forward and still land above. Seen you do it many times, and I tried to train it but the timing is difficult? Bubble!

Thank you so much for this vid! I haven't played moira in a while and when i recently tried to get onto highgrounds I remember being able to reach i would instead bonk my head on a ledge! I'm not sure if they reduced her jump height at some point or if I used to do smth different but this will surely help me out a lot tysm!❤

I discovered this playing in new junk city, if you fade and jump over the wall of steal, you will reach more distance and you'll go higher but i though it only worked there. Thanks for the video.

as a moira-turned-lw main (i played practically nothing but moira on supp in ow1), ive gotten good at both super jumps and long jumps on moira, but after watching this, im never gonna be able to super jump again without saying "bubble" and seeing just how high i can get 😂

While it sounds more realistic, I think 'ta da' wouldn't have been as pop-ular. Look. I'll be transparent with you. I really just wanted this video to pop-off, burst out onto RU-vid and float up the recommended list and help elevate people's gameplay, but oh well, if I made a bad choice I'll try to not be so deflated.

If the object you are using to extend the jump is more far away, do you use the jump (space) button just before hitting that object? Do i have to time the jump differently based on the distance of the object i am using to extend the jump?

It gets tricky. Remember that fade is only used for acceleration and speed. The jump part is always the same distance from the object. The reason why it's harder, is because you are moving faster so it's hard to time the jump right if you have to fade..... wait..... jump. The tutorial eliminates that because if you always fade and then jump at the same distance apart, it becomes a constant and the only variable left is distance from the object. I practiced fading like the tutorial for years first and then I was telling everyone at the time that the way that I can elevate my fade jumping is to be able to fade a long distance first before I then jump on the object. Now I'm pretty good at that one too. I will probably do an intermediate video and then an advanced one later on. I just need to figure out how to keep them short and to the point, because I could make one that's hours long!

Just create a custom game, set fade cooldown to zero and then pick your map. I'm not a big fan of the parkour maps tbh.

@ArxUK makes sense. I can do all the jumps in a vacuum but come game time most parkors are not realistic or helpful. Still hope one day to make the jumps as smooth as you do.
