I completely agree, straddle planche is a progression sent straight from hell 😆.imo its so much easier to gradually open legs from adv tuck until you get to half lay
with both front lever and planche, i've seen great, stead progression with single legged. try one leg out, one leg tucked. the the one leg out, and slowly move your other food further down your straight leg. tucked, toes above knee. arch next to knee, heel below knee, then toes to ankle, etc. these are minute adjustments that can be easily replicated, there's no guessing if you were in a more open advanced tuck than before. some people have issue with the single leg because it's mroe of a unilateral movement, but honestly, because it's so far from the shoulders and your feet are centered on the body, i really don't feel any sort of imbalances. you might have more or less glute activation, but if you're switching up which leg is out straight, those should sort themselves out.
