You can tell Lisa is a professional because she thinks of every kind of skin tone and skin condition in her videos and doesn't just consider what looks good on her.
This video came right on time. I'm a minimalist, I generally don't like the feel or look of a lot of makeup, I don't want it to take long and I hate removing tons of it from my face. This is good if you just want to look refreshed, clean but isn't over the top. I also loved your brow philosophy video. Thank you for posting this!
I've had one of those mad weeks professionally (lawyer) and I've so enjoyed watching many of your older videos, some for the second or third time. On the cusp of 44, these have reminded me so much of how I learned to do makeup. Somewhat from my Mom and Nana, but loads from Vogue, Harper's, and Elle and I find myself pulling out old techniques I haven't used in awhile, but that I did for most of my makeup wearing life. Such a joy. Thank you.
Yeah same thing my mom used to do her make up. In 90s there was not much make up tools or even if there was she couldn't afford it. So she had only Compact powder, lipstick and eyeliner/pencil.
Lisa, I adore your channel, you're a real make up artist that shows how to embrace our beauty.. You're the Best! I've learned so much from you. Thank you! Really thank you! Unlike what people may think, we can actually look good with minimal make up! Love from France
I do the same way! Foundation as conceiler, lipstick as blusher and mascara as "eyeliner". Perfect and easy. Sometimes I use my eyebrowpen as eyeshadow/eyeliner too.
Same simple yet effective concept as my daily work makeup: 1. Clinique Airbrush Concealer under the eyes, around the nose and mouth, center of the chin and between the eyebrows patted in with fingertips 2. Becca Beach Tint on the apples of the cheeks and lips also patted in with fingertips 3. Dior Show mascara top and bottom 4. Anastasia Brow Tint lightly through the back of the brow for gentle definition.
You are one of the best, real and well-established makeup artists in the world (incredibly busy, I imagine) yet you still take time to respond to questions and give suggestions. You're truly admirable!
I love that you did this! My Nana always used to get tickled with me when I put on my makeup because she always used her lipstick on her cheeks and eyes. She told me that's all I needed. Haha Looks like she wasn't so crazy after all!
Your videos are by far my favourites. When I see that there is a new one, I'll save it up to watch it as the last thing before I go to bed. ;) I just love them.
This is great!! I have a 3 week old baby, and I haven't worn much make-up. This will be a great way for me to feel good about myself in just a few minutes!! Thanks Lisa!
Thank you Lisa for showing us less can be more than enough on a daily basis. Typically something I often wear (concealer, lipstick, mascara) even if my skin isn't perfection. It shows with a couple of minutes and products (a tiny bit of effort), one can look fresh and polished. xx
This video came up on my feed right as I was sitting down to do my makeup, so I tried it and loved the results! Used the YSL foundation, YSL Volupte Sheer Candy in Tasty Raspberry, and Marc Jacobs mascara. Thanks!
what a simple, gorgeous, effortless look. the way you used the same color on your eyes, lips, and cheeks really creates a fresh, beautiful effect. i just love it
Such a great look Lisa! I love the YSL foundation so much and it gives the best luminosity to the skin. That lipstick is gorgeous, I need it in my life.... xoxo Monika
This is my go-to look for everyday makeup. It's simple and brightens up my face really nicely! Clinique moisture surge cc cream, revlon lip balm tint and maybelline mascara!

This is fabulous! Love the result on you. I knew the lipstick blush tip, but wouldn't have think to use it on the eyelid. Thank you for that great video! Bises from France.
This is absolutely Brilliant! You are gorgeous without makeup, beautiful skin. Your just amazing to me! Thanks so much for sharing this with us. I'm going to try this look tomorrow.
I saw a tutorial you did where you mentioned that you and your mom used your fingers a lot... I've tried that since and find it really works very well. Great for blending eyeshadow. ❤️ Love it.
Lisa, great video! I love your less is more philosophy when it comes to everyday makeup. It's really hot and humid where I live and I tried the eye look that you showed in the summer festival makeup (without the sparkles), and it worked great! As the day progressed and my eyeliner got a little more smudged it still looked great. Thank you so much for your videos and great tips, I really appreciate it!
I loved this video! This is SO like my routine, although I don't wear makeup everyday, but when I do is very soft, and pretty and pink..The only thing I do different is instead of using lipstick I use Benefit's lip and cheek tint in posie tint, but that's because my lipsticks are not gel textured. And I used to use a really good highlighter pen on my cheekbones and sometimes the centre of the eyelids. I loved that pen but I can't remember the brand.
Brilliant. I'm going on a weekend break soon and I am worrying about fitting everything into the little plastic bag. I wouldn't have thought I'd get such a result with 3 products. A good duo eyeshadow for night time should be the final bit of makeup I need. Cool.
Lisa, you never cease to amaze me with your amazing videos full of fantastic tips and tricks! I've watched A LOT of tutorials which were meant to help us saving time in the morning and I thought I had nothing left to learn but then you make a video on the same subject and it blews everything I thought I knew off. Lisa, thank you, thank you, thank you so much for being on YT and sharing your incredible knowledge with us! You truly are in a league of your own - just amazing and very far ahead any other makeup artist here!
Hello Lisa, unrelated but i just wanted to say how amazing it is that you support causes such as #bringbackourgirls. Everyone knows that you are a makeup genius and this only proves once again what a fabulous compassionate human being you are. We need more people like you on this Earth. Thank you so much Lisa! Keep inspriring women.
Lisa, this is such a clever way to do chic but minimal makeup and I love it!!! If only I don't have the acne and redness on my cheeks , it wouldn't be so hard for me... so I just steer away from blush and opt for bronzer instead (flatters my skin just as well). Thank you for everything :D
I just started following you and you are great! I am Thai, dark hair & skin and all of your videos make thing easy for me too! unlike others. Thank You so much!
I LOVE THIS! I'm all about fast easy makeup and you have demonstrated that so perfectly. With winter coming in Australia I'll have to find a darker and plumier lipstick to do this look with. Can't wait! Thanks Lisa!
I love this tutorial. It is so easy and fresh. I would probably add the eyebrow step just because I can't live without doing my brows before leaving the house. But to do it in a quicker way I'll use the Anastasia brow gel in Espresso. It is so quick and easy! Thank you Lisa for this tutorial.
I tried someone else's makeup tutorial and turned out to be a disaster...my best makeup results have been always after your tutorials. Can't live without you, Lisa ❤️ I'll keep practicing those tutorials of yours until I can do it real quick ;)
Loving it!! For define, im actually torn between a brown eyeliner or a mascara since with a brown liner you can pretty much line your eyes, put a bit in your crease to smudge it out for a very precise shading and use it for your brows, important for people with sparse brows like me! On the other hand, mascara can really open the eyes. Hmmm
@JuliliIsbored Some people are definitely one or the other but you can be a mixture of both or neutral and suit a lot of shades (both cool an warm) as ***** points out above. Watch my video on finding the right shade of foundation, it may help a little X
Dear Lisa, I do love this look. It looks so good on you, it's very simple but still there is a touch of something. If you have more products for another tutorial of 4 or 5 products, but just other brands this would be great. Thank you
Thanks for posting this again on Facebook! Such a great video. I do this look all the time and, since I can't use lipstick on my cheeks or eyelids, I add a 4th product -- bronzer (Kevyn Aucoin Bronzing Veil in Tropical Nights) for cheeks & eyeshadow. I always use my waterproof mascara as eye "definer/liner" -- it's the only thing that stays on my allergy-prone, watery eyes!
Lisa I really enjoy everything you do with makeup, I´ve watched all of your videos and I have to say I love them! I am 19 years old but I would love you could give me advice on how you started in this business... right now I must choose a career and go to college but I don't really know which path should I take... I would love to do what you do. Sorry if my english isn't perfect. I hope you read this, thank you!
i am a broke 18 year old college student. i have only recently discovered Lisa. Though most of the products she uses are not available where i live, every video of her is so much help. i absolutely love her.
The ysl foundation is really good. My skin looks so nice when I apply it. You looked so fresh in this tutorial. As usual I am amazed with your talent. I love the before and after pictures, the face looks fabulous in any tutorial you have shown.
I love this one. Exactly what Ive been thinking about but couldn't come up with a good array of products. Since my main issue is dark circles and pigmentation the astalift is perfect for this or the tom ford stick. Thank you for talking about the astalift by the way. Its a lifesaver for pale skin with dullness issues.
I love this look, so easy, fast and lovely :) Could you do a tutorial for glasses? I have absolutely no idea what make up i should put on, because of my glasses. Xoxo from vienna
Great tips! Lisa, you are so lovely, even without makeup. I think I could pull this off, but I would definitely have to fill my brows in just a bit, or maybe at the least use a tinted brow gel.
So relieved that you do this, I do this all the time, med school is super busy, so this is the fastest way to look good and literally run out the door. ^^
Great job, Lisa!!! My dream is to be made up by you one day! I'm going to Europe soon and I really am working out a light, everyday touristy travel makeup and I think this, the no makeup makeup and the summer festival looks are great. You're amazing! Ilysm!
Hi Lisa! My mother has been applying her rouge on her lips and cheeks for the past 30 years! And I thought she was wrong to do that! Now I see you and her have something in common ;-) love your channel!
You can fill your brows in with a very light application of your mascara. I do this all the time and I find it looks much more natural than using a brow pencil or powder. The trick is to just apply the mascara very lightly to only the eyebrow hairs. That would keep the number of products to still just 3! Great video!
Your K.I.S.S. philosophy and tips on using one product for many different things (lipstick as blusher etc.) has changed my make up view from being slightly intimidated and discouraged to "of course! why not?!"! Many tutorials can have such intricate techniques with unattainable/non-dupeable/expensive products and brushes sometimes.. And I've understood colors much better from your videos! The "It doesn't have to be perfect, it just have to have an EFFECT!"-motto is truly something I will share with people (not only make up wise)! So thank you, Lisa! And this is just a silly thought that I thought you might have thought of, but how did every day women "learn" to put make up on before youtube? Step by step guide in magazines? From other women? Just by looking at pictures of famous personas? Anyways, thanks again!
Do you have to use foundation all the time? I don't use any makeup everyday, but like powders, eyeshadows, and lip glosses. I love your videos, thank you so much for putting them up. It's really fun and informative to watch. The cheaper, simpler, and fewer the better!
