I currently own a 2007 g35 automatic. I come from 3 manual cars including a FBO focus ST. manual is definitely more fun, without a doubt. With that being said, if you daily drive the car, and/or live in a city/hilly area, manual cars are a pain. There is nothing worse than sitting in stop and go traffic uphill. It's also important to recognize though that manual mode does not even come close to a manual transmission. regardless, a manual and automatic transmission both have their pros and cons and neither are inherently better than the other. also, if your bragging about driving a manual, remember that the rest of the world owns 95% manuals and some grandmother in India has been banging gears 50 years longer than you!
Manual gives you far more control and is far more responsive that this automatic. The downshifts are so slow, which don’t help for breaking and for falling in the power band. Downshifting is the best part of the manual especially heel toe downshifting for corners.
Perfectly said, I can see why manuals are more fun I’m not against it. But like you said both comes with pros and cons but no matter what you drive it’s fun because you have the actual car.
I've had lots of manual skyline R32 in the past. And yes it get tiring to drive. 10 years later I have 2003 v35 skyline automatic. So much fun to drive 😊
No it's true, even manual cars gets boring 😴 . I've had a lot of cars in the past. One of my favorites was 1990 R32 GTR and 1992 JZA70 supra single turbo all manual. My last fast car was GOLF R automatic. Never again I will buy in German
Hr would be dope bro. However it wouldn’t hurt to stick with the de until it goes bro. They’re good motors just can’t handle the power without being built. But bolt ons and a mild tune would be smooth. I thought HR swaps were pretty straightforward but the headache is the wiring. Unless you got a shop to handle everything for less than 4-5k I guess it would be worth it.
Clean G’s are hard to find, let alone a clean manual one. So I totally get bros point. That being said I have a manual car and I do get tired of it and wish I had an automatic because it does get tiring especially when I’m on a hill with this heavy ass G. I like to flex I have a manual because it’s funny but in the back of my mind I wish I had an automatic
I drive a manual G35 sedan which I do find more fun than driving auto. With that being said who cares what kind of transmission you drive. These days it's so hard to find a manual car especially if it's RWD. I bet there's a lot of people who would love to drive a manual but can't find any manual cars near them.
