Welcome back to the channel!
So today we take a look at the 3 Recommended things to do on a 124019
This brand new buggy by WLTOYS is an extended wheelbase version of the 144001 and unfortunately does come with some of the issues the first buggy suffered with.

I highly recommend you do those 3 things first then these 3 optional things.
In this video we will be taking a look at:
0:00 Intro
1:14 Rear Toe
All 124019 will come with Toe in from factory as this is how they are made its not an issue and sometimes can be a good thing but if you prefer for everything to be straight and true then this little mod will help get everything centered nicely.
3:15 Rear Shock Oil (60wt)
WLTOYS use the same weight of oil in the front and rear shocks but do not take into consideration the extra weight over the rear end due to that big heavy 550 brushed motor.
Adding some heavier oil in this case some 60wt will definitely help dampen those big impacts from jumps and stunts.
8:26 Droop Screws (I used 10mm M3 Cap Head Screws)
Another very good mod to do to your 124019 it will help to bring the buggy lower to the ground and also help prevent wear on the driveshafts when this thing is flying through the air.
This will also assist in reducing body roll and help with straight line stability a must do if you are intending to do speed runs with your 124019.

Hope you enjoyed this 3 Recommended/Optional things to do on the WLTOYS 124019 to get the very best out of your brand new buggy i would highly recommend doing these small mods. *PLEASE NOTE* On the video i adjusted the droop screws quite low which you may notice i was aware of this and this was for demonstration purposes only you will have to set your droop screws to your liking and set how low you want the vehicle to sit depending on your intentions you may also have to adjust camber to compensate for lowering the overall stance to get the best stability and handling possible for those high speed runs. See now that really doesn't matter if other people reviewed them or not. We like watching you not them. So people like me haven't even watched their videos cuz I watch you so I didn't even see what was going on. So it probably would be a good idea to fill us in on that. I'm not being biased but I subscribed to your channel not theirs. Just mentioning that because there's other people out there that might be like I am pretty much only watch you and maybe a couple other people on certain things. I did a brushless conversion on my 124019 and with everything surpass hobby a 7700kv and a 60 amp and maxed out at 61 moh

From december 2021 WLtoys sells the: 124017 version 2,it is brushless 2845 4300K. Motor gear 19 teeth,absolutly no cogging any more. Transmitter upgrade for range. I have one and it is a bang for the buck,135€ incl 2 batterys.

Hi I’m been looking at this model and I also seen the 104001 and the 124017 which is your recommendation todo spend the money on this for fun and I wish to add more powerful motor and the interior of steel.

Tough number 1 would be brushless swap + upgraded transmission, then number 2 change the tires, then number 3 change the body to Maserati GT3 and grind the road.

@@beyondRC Hey mate, I bought lot of different tires to test and found very nice tires for the 144001: It smells the same than real car tires, it has a premium foam inserts compared to stock tire, the "print" on it is deep, it has a very good grip for wet and dry asphalt and NOT ballooning on my 3S brushless, and best of all .... it cost less than 1 € per tire and is same original tire diameter (rare). I bough some cheap premium rims for it that are better than stock rims. Very happy, bought 1 then ordered 15 x 4 to get lowest delivery price. But now I realize than even abusing theses tires for more than 15 runs on 3S, drifting every corner, spinning the tires on hard starts and blocking it on breaks: NOTHING on tires, it is like brand new ! Excellent work except I'm gonna have to disagree on the purpose of the droop screws. Droop screws are essentially to limit suspension down travel from rest not for the purpose of adjusting chassis height. Chassis height is changed by adjusting preload (shock collar). Your setup there with no droop (suspension down travel) would make the car skip and lose traction at the slightest uneven surface.

Hey, do you think 40w oil would be good for the rear shocks or is that too close to the stock oil weight to make any difference? I only have 40w and I don’t feel like buying anything else... thanks!

It will work fine just remember these are rear heavy so a heavy weight oil is better 👍

I like seeing all these videos. No discrimination but these cars are cheap as chips and if i break it ill just buy another one . I own 3 one for my 13 year old and one for my 7 year old and of corse one for me and we have fun out the box and it’s more than enough. Only if you are going for speed runs then this is essential . Or just have fun out of the box

Should you adjust the spring perch after you lower the car with the screws? It looks as though the springs are compressed too much.

Yeah, I picked that up too, he has way too much preload on the springs. The ride height (preload) should be adjusted first by turning the spring collars, the car should sag under its own weight to the correct ride height, with the lower suspension arms about parallel to the ground. The travel limits screws are just that, to limit suspension travel when needed, they are not ride height adjusters.
