wow this is actually a pretty insightful video and makes attacking way simpler. maybe we could get a vid from defender perspective? like when to rotate and when flanking is and isn't a good idea

These tips are awesome, but there is still a major problem with low elo. In your games, your team was actually thinking, while my teams run in with their knives out and die like flies.

A super important thing that serves as a back-drop to this entire video is that EVERY FRACTION OF A SECOND COUNTS. Tons of people in lower ranks don't realize this. In your first example where you got 2 picks on A, the round could have played out very differently if you didn't react to those two picks and just bumbled around for several seconds. I've seen so many cases of teams getting 2 picks on a site and not actually going into it until maybe 10 seconds later at which point rotations have had SO much time to re-position. Ditto for the entire intro where people just don't realize that by taking so much time to take the site, you're losing a huge % of map control every second that you're delayed. I don't claim to be a good player anymore but after decades of CS its just so gut wrenching to see people not grock this. And you see this play out at the highest levels of CS (and I'm sure valorant) where a mid-round call to rotate to another site either works out or doesn't work out based on how quickly the team makes that decision. No time for "umm"ing.

The problem is I KNOW EVERYTHING OF IT but my Team dont. They rush, step and die and they dont hear to me

after this video i immediately went to comp i was doing the strats as the video says but most of my teammates didnt listen, until its overtime i started giving my teammates comms on not to peak them on defending, and instead just using utility to delay pushes, even using flashbangs once its attacking we baited the enemy to use their utility and rotate to that site while we rotate to the other site that is free lots of blunders happened but we won on a 15-13 Thank you SkillCapped!!

I started playing this game two months ago and I'm still iron. I stopped playing a bunch of ranked recently because of smurfs and bots and played a ton of unrated. Due to how low my rank is almost everyone I play with in unrated is above my rank or and unrated smurf account. I noticed that these tips is how most of the rounds in my unrated games played. People spread out in the beginning of rounds instead of rushing a site and usually didn't decide which site to hit until after the first or second gunfight. They knew when to rush a site cos it would be free and they knew when to play slow. I tried some of these tips in my ranked games but the team was just too disorganized. Everyone ends up going for a 1v1 battle and I'm literally having to chase down players to be able to trade them. I really think the best way to climb is with a squad of 2 or more. They font have to be exceptionally good at the game but at least you'd be guaranteed a team regardless.

A very insightful video but playing with randoms and trying out strats is almost impossible. I just started playing and people don’t listen and have big egos for no reason. It’s just a baiting contest. It’s very rare to have teammates who actually communicate and have your back.

Well that’s the thing in low elo I think rushes with the right comps are incredibly effective (only in low elo) like for example kayo combined with brimstone a flank watch sentinel and 2 other duelists or mix is really hard to stop for low elo players of done well and quickly, if your team coordinates even basic until like a flash then peek or stuns it is so effective since most people play in certain areas for site defense although how rushes do in higher elo I don’t know since I’m bronze lol

This video is crazy helpful. I know my aim is pretty good and my team play is good, but this video helped me realize the complete flaw in my strategy; in bronze, 5man bum rushing a site is the only strat, and it results in a lot of casualties for my team. Ive been watching pro play only recently, and they default a lot and play fakes, regroup for a hit, gather info, etc. Ima try to apply this and see if I can get my team to do it, because this would make it super easy to win in low elo.

I didnt finish the whole video but one thing I noticed as a low rank player myself, I overpeek a lot and it gets me killed.

thanks for this, im used to play CSGO and well in that game, sometimes thinking individually can work (at lower ranks though lol). most of the times, as a gold nova player, my team barely have any com other than some pinging and voice commands, feels like low rank telapthy power lol

i've figured out a thing in low elo like if ur team is doing well thats really good and u can play with the team like supporting them but if ur team is just dying use them as a bait and play on trades it helped me alot to get out of bronze and i got out of bronze in like 10-15 days this is personal experience

I sorta agree with not rushing site, but not entirely. You also got to take into account how the players are playing and the enemy team comp. Defaulting every round isn't going to help.

I just can't fix my bad mental, i get tilted so easily and I have no idea how to fix it. I don't think about my rank but every time I make a bad play I just get incredibly frustrated and start playing horribly. There is just no way im ever gonna get out of low elo because I just cant stop tilting the second somethin goes wrong.

I wish all my team knows this knowledge, but i am always stuck to solo queue because my "friends" keeps on kicking me out.

I RLY WANT TO DO THIS WITH MY TEAM, BUT NO ONE FRICKING LISTENS, everyone is so impatient and only rushes. I'm not saying I deserve gold or something, I'm just saying in low elo. Everyone on the team needs to understand this. And requires coordination. Which isn't a thing in low elo

I played viper one game, i was annoyed that my teammates were cowards, when they see a smoke they instantly falter then wait for it to go down only to get smoked again. Our duelists are scared to enter and the initiator is lurking. So I was the only one actually pushing site. Valorant is a team game but I can't do anything if they refuse to cooperate

the idea that a smoke will stop low elo is a gamble. have had multiple games as a controller where I throw up a brim or other non damaging smokes where the entire team just bomb rushes past and breaks your site in half. somehow without utility relying on pure surprise factor

but rushing extremely fast can win rounds too...i rushed with breach bind 'a 'site near the teleporter using my laser and blinds managed to kill 3 ....and i did it back to back for 3-4 rounds.

Guys I have a bug where my teammates don't use abilities, think, or push. How do I fix it? Also, they seem to want the smoker to consistently smoke while watching flank manually and lurking. Do you guys have any idea why this happens?

I love the insight but this only works if you don't solo queue. The issue where all this happens is in the lower ranks where if you can find a single teammate who 1. will comm, 2. isn't toxic, 3. will even listen or care about the game especially when they are in the mind set of just getting kills and maximizing the elo gained for a win and minimizing the elo lost for a loss. If i'm being honest solo queueing is going to be your worst enemy in low elo, even if you yourself can do the stuff in the vid your teammates won't unless they actually listen, which they won't, cuz they're iron and bronze.

so im not yet stuck but im new and as i climb i realized that half of the people wont even have the voice chat enabled, other half does the opposite of every call out of spite and only a few selection actually listens. Also while playing back might be good in some situations, there will always be a point where you have to execute a side and that wont work if you have 2 people "playing macro" aka double pointless lurk. I want to reiterate that im not comlaining about my mates, enemies are equally as bad but there is no real point in thinking about macro when most of the games you will have only duelist lurking, noone entrying, double lurk, solo duelist on operator etc. even numbers advantage wont mean a win for sure, yesterday i had a game where it was 5v1 agains a sage, i was anchoring and as we had spike, i rotated over towards it. My team whatsoever decided to peak her 1 by 1 and all died giving her ult and leaving me in a 1v2. What i mean is that maybe in like high silver or gold, thinking about the game makes you a better player but overthinking in bronze where i currently play just makes you tilt. So i dont want to say play smart, i just want to say that as in low elo most people dont even have mics or neglect communication, trying makro wotn really help you. Im not yet the best player but i found thinking about myself rather than some strategy for the whole team saves lots of nerves and helps improving way more.

It's like iron, almost every round. Someone shouts "rush A" and stops at the entrance because they can't pass. Reyna goes from b, Raze from the middle. I look at the flank, and someone shouts "why are you standing behind? We need to go together." In the end we are killed by half at the entrance half of the flank.

Heres the thing this is a 5 person team game and my teams mindset is only *bad guy pew pew* No matter how many times i explain a plan in the nicest way possible they just say "stop telling me what to do dude, that dont make no sense ur actually trolling"

Yes, these are some real good rules you should foolow, but if you try to tell this to your teammates they wont listen to you and 2, in lower elo if you die and there is a teammate that in high elo would trade you they will just sit where they are and then they will die too

This is very hard to do for solo. I play solo since I don't have much friends who play valorant, and the usual language barrier for solo in SEA server... Still a noob so idk which role to actually play to hard carry with both info, and entry (YES, NONE OF THE RANDOM DUELISTS I GET MAKE ENTRIES)... So I'll never leave bronze, got to silver once but immediately got dragged back lol

I'm not trying to be an asshole, but there's a clear gap between what's happening in the clip and what the commentator is saying 7:22: "important to burn abilities" 7:39: *raw peeks* Wouldn't be so bad if the whole enemy team didn't have op money 7:40: Not a prefire 7:53: "additional picks with my sage" *peaks alone* 8:10: The soft clear on the ONE spot your ult didn't hit was an unnecessary risk 8:14: This peek should not have happened. A) You STILL have full util B) Two of your teammates are not on site at all, and the one that is is completely vulnerable planting, if you lose spike control now, you lose the round. C) They have had 10 seconds to rotate since you killed breach and ulted. More than enough time for someone to be there (and your omen who you thought was "covering mid" by walking up tube didn't say anything about the sage rotate), so it is not free map control that you can just take carelessly. BUT on top of that all you still crouch commit to the fight. You claimed they "aren't likely be in good positions to take us on", but you give them good positions by peeking like this. 8:53: you looked just as surprised lmao

I just want to say thank you sosososo much!! I've been playing this game since the end of 2020 and let's say I'm the biggest bot ever (even more bot than Kayo/o LOLOLOL that doesn't make any sense but ya get me) and I rarely play (only play when my friends ask me to). Recently though, I had my interests back in this game and yup. I'm the worst player ever. I only get one kill per match AHAHAHHAHA (no kidding fr). After applying these three rules in my recent games, I'd say that I've improved a lot!! I gained 17 kills (it doesn't really matter, what matters is your contribution to the team) but still I'm proud of it!! I feel like I've finally not been a burden and I understand more about the game. Thank you again!! You're the best ♡⁠(⁠>⁠ ⁠ਊ⁠ ⁠

I'm playing in Iron but my enemies often one tap me. Imo the iron people in my lobbies are quite good. They (fake) rotate, lurk and have very good aim. Idk maybe it has to do I'm playing in EU Servers (Frankfurt 1)?
