I love the idea that they declined an officer's presence after some psycho looking dude started shouting they were going to kill you. like zero survival instincts.

"There was a crazy man here threatening to kill me but he just left." "Do you still want us to send an officer?" "No, I'm good." YES, you say yes! That man is clearly insane and dangerous, so what if he walked out the door, have the police search the premises!

Remember: You are NEVER inconveniencing an officer by asking them to come to the property you feel unsafe at. It’s their job and their presence may deter the individual! Stay safe everyone ❤

As soon as author #1 said that they declined a police officer to show up, I wanted to reach through the screen and throttle them. NEVER reject such an offer when a situation like that happens. Police may have their issues, but having one at least show up to look around would have at least potentially scared the guy off...

dispatcher here. it’s never EVER an inconvenience to an officer if you want them to search the premises. it’s their job to do, and your safety is our priority. please don’t ever decline that offer of sending an officer to your location especially for an incident like the first story!!!

Some of these stories seem so unbelievable. I've worked graveyard shifts at a gas station where junkies showed up all the time and as soon as you say "police," they always run.

The first story was truly disturbing as I can imagine the creepy guy with the towels creepily tilting his head and smiling while also pressed up to the glass. Luckily the dude with the light on in his house helped the victim fend off the creepy guy choking him.

For every like i will do One Pushup during my night shift starting now Update: I knocked out that 100 a day for 4 days of the week so i don’t exhaust my chest too much before my lifts in the gym i appreciate yall pushing me to do better for my self , i plan on making a short showing me doing atleast 100 at first then i’ll try to make a montage of me knocking out the exact amount lmk what yall think i should do and how to do it! i hope yall get where you wanna be in life shout out mr.nightmare !

I've worked the night shift, 11pm to 7am, at a hotel for almost 9yrs now, and I've got a lot of crazy stories. Supernatural, creeps, mentally ill, drunks, a guest complaning of evil in his room. I could go on and on... I just don't have time to sit and write it all down...

The last story is basically every stupid character in a horror movie. "When you're in a horror movie, you make poor decisions. It's what you do."

In the third story I do not think that nutcase meant to "kill" the employee, but the person in the room that he was trying to get into.

1st story: Person: this guy is repeatedly threatening to kill me and tried to pretend he had a room in our hotel in order to get in. 911: we’re sending someone, what’s your- Person: oh wait, he’s leaving. 911: you still want the police? Person: nah, I’m sure he was just joking around, funny guy. 911: awesome! R.i.p. -Guy tries to kill person after work as they walk home in the DARK ALONE, on the EMPTY roads.- Person: surprised Pikachu face. Person: Also happens to forget what this person looks like despite staring at them multiple times for long periods of time.

Runny eggs? Frozen sausage? Assorted cereals? THIS IS GORMET DINING!!!

I worked at Lowe’s for a very short time when I was 18. I liked cashiering but the amount of random men that would hit on me was truly disturbing. I ended up quitting because of it.

They need to start recognizing when someone has a mental problem. 🤪 Story 3: Never leave a secured area. If you feel threatened in any way call the police. That's what they're for. 🚔 😇

I don’t remember myself but when I was younger my brother and I were staying in a hotel somewhere in Vegas-when my parents left to go to the casino that was in the hotel and my dad told us to stay inside the room and don’t leave. According to my brother we did leave because we wanted to get somthing from the vending machine. Long story short we forgot our key and were at the vending machine when a guy came out of the elevator looked both ways then went left turned around and started coming our way. My brother noticed it was kinda weird so we started walking away and he kept following and we eventually started running taking a couple of rights down the hallways with him still behind us when we stopped in another like vending machine/ice machine area and waited which we then saw him go past still a pep in his step. Thankfully we found a custodian and my brother told him what happend and he got us a new key. Idk what would’ve happened if we didn’t stop in that area and got help. Idk if it was some sort of joke or he was trying to kidnap us. thank God he didn’t.

I’ve had a couple of problems with weirdos because I was pretty when I was young (I’m 53 now 😩) Some guys can’t accept that you’re not interested, especially when you’re try to let them down politely. I can definitely relate to these disturbing stories.
