Hey, Im 13, and I'm also lukewarm. I'm struggling a lot with sin. See the thing with sin is that it deceives you. It looks so good and pleasing to the eye, just like the forbidden fruit of the tree that Eve and Adam took. It makes you think it's desirable and it won't cost any harm when in reality the wages of sin is death. Ask God to reveal to you how vile and disgusting sin is, and how, when it is full grown, leads to death, because our Heavenly Father is faithful and wants us to understand. I ask for your prayers to help me with this struggle of sin, and ill pray for you. May God bless you ❤️🙏

you obviously have a concious mate, and a conviction that you need to change, thats a good thing and god understands and love you younger brother. Just remember the bible says nothing about repenting of sins but rather repent by changing our minds, trusting in the lord, stepping out of the body of adam or eve, and enter or re-enter into the body of christ rightousness. Jesus christ paid for all sins past present and future called the finished works of christ and the repentence is done deal.. We repent by changing our minds once we have conviction and realize we cannot repent truly in the body of adam. Tho we will feel sorry and have a contrite broken spirit, we dont remain there moaning and groaning like a works based relegion teaches and suffer shame, guilt over and over and all other sins return to torchure you as that is relegion, just what the devil wants for you to beat yourself up.... IF you truly love the lord and want or having a personal relationship but still suffer some addictions, you are not luke warm. But until over come those addictions you will miss out on many blessings in this life and not have the power to perform the miricals or purpose you was born to do whatever god had instored for you, unless its destiny one way or another meant to be.... So step out of the body the carnel body of adam, dont make lifestyle of sexual and drug addict sins, tho out of the two lust without love is a cursed sin otherwise men would have to go around with their eyes completely closed to avoid lust.. This is what jesus meant... We should always have true intent to marry even in relationship. If cannot marry because of death threats from family stopping you, and it leads to sex, it is still a sin but not a cursed sin and if its truly a love marrige, god can use a happy marrige. I dont justify sex out of marrige but I married with blind faith, and it led to a sexless marrige and devoice. I would never marry again without sexual compatibility to some limited degree to know that. Some just act supernaturally to make it work but bicker too, judge the other... I believe in 3 levels of happiness and I am writing a book about it. We must love our partner on all levels from spirit, soul and body/creature but in the end creature will die tho a process not instant otherwise it makes trouble against our spirit.. Spirit must lead soul and body otherwise we will be dragged down to hell.... Always teach, lead and guide the woman you love and remind her that the real YOU and HER IS THE SPIRIT that is immortal, perfect and eternal. Wheither god breathed the breath of life into soul or we have a spirit that entered a body that become soul (mind, intellect, will, emotions and ego) never mind, as it is BEOND MIND and I call it spirit conciousness.. IN the soul or mind we live with sin conciousness if not saved by grace always worrying if we are saved or not, always trying to repent of sins rather than repent by changing our minds, forever beating ourselfs up. The only law is the law of love and of course good works and fruits will follow out of love and gratitude for the lords grace, in christ rightousness makes us perfect. Tho we will fall from grace many times but never remain there long or make it a lifestyle to sin. Truely converted grace christians do not desire to sin especially serious sins like murder tho will still sin in other ways... Bless you brother james and I will pray for you. I have surrendered my stinking filthy rags of rightousness and entered into christ rightousness thus the enabling power of the holyghost IS and becomes our strength to live obedience. I testify this is the way to be obedient not RELEGIOUSLY, tho efforts can apply to improove ourselfs, improove our marriges too, but all comes after faith, grace first then the works but works done save us. ITS a personal loving relationship with jesus christ that will save us. By their fruits ye shall know them.. I am also a preacher to the very elect who are falling hard in these last days because of self rightous pride, money hungury too from organized works based relegions to hyper grace rich pastors on TV, and two wrongs dont make a right.. The gospel is simply 1 corithians 15:1-4 that jesus died, was burried and rose again on the 3rd day according to the sciptures and we are to give up our rags of rightousness and enter into christ rightousness denying our own rightousnes and grace will cover everything. IN fact love will cover a mulitude of sins the bible says.. I went to Catholic school starting in Kindergarten. My family didn’t go to church, I was taught at home that faith is enough. What I learned of Christ at school and my family’s way of faith was contradicting to me. I think because of this I never took it seriously. Shortly after starting Kindergarten my mother met and moved in with her boyfriend. I was 4. She was 20. The abuse, psychological, verbal and sexual, started almost immediately. I lived this way until I graduated high school. When I was about 14 I was really depressed, really hating everything and everyone. Even denouncing God. I started self medicating at 14. Full blown addict by 21. Got clean at 32. Now 40. I’m just starting to get back to God, just now realizing God never left me. Just now calling out to God asking for forgiveness for my sins. I feel His love. My point is that, it’s never too late.

Cleo.. we ALL struggle with sin- the trick is not to let sin have mastery over you. If you practice it, he (the devil) will get the better of you. TRY not to habitually repeat the behavior. Even to cease from sin for one time is a victory! Keep practising it- ceasing from sin- and I believe God will reward you. My particular habit I had to break? I was oversexed. And I admit I battled it daily until now I am older and have better self-control.. and a wonderful wife. God bless you through your struggle.

I, too, was saved by the blood of Jesus at 16, & though my folks wouldn’t let me go to church or Bible study, & God said”obey your parents, & honor them” , I still had my Bible to read, & I still talked to God alone, & you wouldn’t believe the peace & awesome love of God, which He poured into my soul! I had NO anger, or resentment against my folks, or anyone else, for that matter, & God taught me what HE wanted me to know, over the 3 years I spent at home (still finishing high school) . Read How to Worship Jesus Christ by Joseph S Carroll. Its a pretty short and easy read but SO FULL of truths I never "got" until I read the book. You can't just get rid of sins, you have to REPLACE them!!! Prayers for you dear brother!

Your situation is exactly similar as mine ,All I can say is just trust on God ,there is nothing impossible for him and be consistent on fasting and prayer .

I find that reading some 10 chapters of the Bible everyday keeps me from sexual sin! I had a season where I was reading less (3,4 I believe) and I kept falling into masturbation. The Word of God is alive, the more you feed yourself from it the more Light you will have inside you. Light and Darkness (impure thoughts for instance) cannot coexist. God made separation between light and darkness. John 1.5 “And the light shineth in darkness and darkness comprehended it not”. The Light is Christ. And Christ is the Word of God. Read every morning. Try splitting it. Read some in the afternoon. And also before bed. Cut down distractions! Television and netflix is shaping our thoughts and behavior. Not to mention most of it is used to entice us sexually or in any other sinful behavior. Hope this helps. God bless you in Jesus name.
