I am a mother of a special needs son. I didn’t understand why this happened. I cried. His father left. It’s been a hard life advocating for him for fairness. Protecting him against bullying. Making sure he’s happy, fed, clothed, warm, cool, clean etc. I remember one day crying out to God, saying the world hates my son, people reject him. You don’t understand how this breaks my heart God. Very clearly I heard God say: I do know how you feel, the world rejected my son. In that moment I said Oh God I’m so sorry, I’m being so selfish. You son went to the cross for us. I heard God say, I love your son very much. This is how much I love your son. For 3 days I felt this love of Christ that is just not of this world. It’s so pure, so unconditional. It was a touch of heaven. 3 days, not 5 minutes, not an hour but for 3 days He kept tangibly showing me how much He loved my son, and me and all people. I look look into my son’s eyes and I see unconditional love for me, he keeps me humble, he reminds me to laugh. I am honoured that God gave me a special son, when I serve my son, i am serving God. A God who is compassionate, full of joy, peace, strength. What we sometimes think is a curse, is actually a blessing!

My son has severe autism. He brought me to christ. He is my biggest most precious blessing. I wasn't supposed to be able to have him. I was supposed to be sterile from cancer treatment. That is why I named him matthew!!!

I was born with spina bifida and scoliosis. I have delt with pain and had more surgeries than probably 10 full grown adults in their lifetime. My best answer for why does God allow so many bad thimgs to happen is this. "Without suffering there would be no compassion!!" We need bad things to happen so we can appreciate all the good!! But thats jus me and what I tell myself to get through all the bad in life easier

In Florida and it is 9:10 PM. My husband has been in a wheelchair for 37 year's. He has made the best of it❤ It hasn't been easy, but when he thinks of the suffering Jesus Christ did for us. He knows his pain is nothing compared to the suffering Jesus did for us on the cross🙌🔥🙌

I'm 68 years old and have been going to church since I was a little child in the early 60s. It's 00h23 here in South Africa, where we are having electricity load shedding and it's very dark. My emergency lights are down to a faint glimmer and because I live alone I tend to be on high alert and feel vulnerable during such darkness in the "thieving" hours. I find your videos soothe me and remind me of my faith; I watch about 3 of your videos every day. You are one of the best preachers I've heard in my life. I'm so glad I found you!.

Tears as I listen to this. I suffered through a horrible addiction to pain pills and used to pray so much to be delivered from addiction and asking why I had to suffer such a living hell. Now I realize that perhaps I had to go thru it to help others. Abba Father is truly so amazing

Isn't it amazing that the greatest sufferings can present the greatest gifts? Only God provided us a pure soul. We all still have some of it left, and it is what really keeps us going. I've always believed in justice, and God will give us justice whether we want it or not. I know there is justice, and I already know that love NEVER fades. My grandma's love holding me when I was 5 years old is still strong, God gave us so much love it holds this (flat lol) world together.

I am from the USA. I was raised in a Christian home. My home was also very abusive in this Christian home. I turned from God and hurt others. But God had a plan for my life. He had me learn the Bible and forgiveness. I had changed and so has my family. We had a huge transformation and try so hard to keep love and forgiveness towards others and teach this lesson to others as well. I'm supporting a man who is homeless at 70. He got polio at 4 and has struggled to walk ever since. He doesn't use walking sticks and is such a strong person, it's amazing. Hopefully he'll turn to Christ when he attends a house bible study I host where he's living soon.

I’m watching from Spain where husband and I have been missionaries for 58 years. Our youngest son was born with an extremely serious heart condition. He was given 15 months to live. He went to heaven when 10 1/2 years old. His testimony and life influenced many to give their lives to Jesus and his 4 brothers and sisters gave their lives to helping others and bring them to Christ. Illness is not a curse...it can be a blessing. We, as a family look forward to being on heaven for eternity with Jesus.

12:30 a.m. Virginia - what a beautifully put together video! I was paralyzed at 18, lost my daughter at 23 and almost lost my son who is 28 this past year. At times the list seems to go on and on with things that only God knows of me. . But, I am so thankful that I was raised in a Christian home because as these things happened to me I knew God's plan was just as he designed. I still find it hard to find my true purpose. I know that thru mine and my children's existence, giving and losses that we have helped others. But, I have to admit that I know I haven't done enough in Christ's name and I feel that I have squandered many opportunities to give praise in His name to others. Please, to those that may read this, please add me to your prayers. I'm trying to make up for all that lost time and I need prayers for strength and the right means to reach others in Christ's name. I appreciate you Joe. You have taught me so many things that I did not know and your videos were the first to bring me back to all of our callings. And that is to bring others to Jesus so that they may have eternal life with our Heavenly Father. Prayers are needed. 🙏 🤲 🙏

It's 2:13 pm here in Nigeria, and I'm in tears because this video is for me 😢😔. I was questioned by someone I knew about why God would sit there and allow all the pain and suffering keep lingering in the world. You see, where I come from, there's a bunch of misled people who keep taking people's lives, claiming they're working for God. And I really don't blame the one who asked for querying me on that. With how she said it, you could tell that she absolutely resented God. I was really heartbroken by what she said, and it followed me to this day. Now, I coincidentally bumped into this video and I'm asking, "How come??" Truth is, the Lord is doing His work in my life, but I'm truly sorry to Him because I believe today, and it's a different story tomorrow. I consider myself one of the biggest skeptics around. I've moved from Christianity, to atheism, to agnosticism, then resenting God again, and back again to Christianity. I'm hoping and praying that my journey isn't cut off again at this point. Whoever's reading this, pls pray for me ❤ One more thing, I was told that the reason the Lord doesn't just reverse the effects of sin is because human beings in cahoots with the enemy caused all this. So God took on the most of the assignment by sending His son into the world to die, instead of having works be used alone to make up for sin. So in that case, man must now decide to work with God in cleaning up this mess, by owning up to it and doing their part as well. Because if that isn't the case, free will won't make any sense to keep around. Man used their free will for evil, but because of the death of Christ, man is called to use their free will for good this time by believing in Jesus and helping Him clean up the mess they helped make.

Hey, Nigerian here, 14:05. I pray that your relationship with christ will continue to remain stable. I remember when some of my friends were talking about how people should stop judging them, that inly God can judge them. One of them claimed that dhe can always go back to God and he will forgive her whenever she did that. I felt awkward, I felt like they were indirectly talking to me, because at that point I was judging their actions. And the worst part was were they claimed they loved Jesus too. In my mind I was like how can you love God and still feel good about going back to sin, and coming to ask for forgiveness and going back to sin again. I later approached the one that was closest to me and told her what I thought about what they said, (now she personnally was struggling with believing in Christ), and I remember saying, "you can't claim to love God and do that" She stared at me blankly and said some things and at the end she added.. "I don't claim to love God" I felt bad, like I had caused he to deny God. I felt sick that weekend, I spoke to my pastor about it and he helped me feel better, we prayed for her. That was one of the most difficult things to do because I felt like I was going to lose one of my very best friends. On Monday, she was cool, we acted like that hadn't really happened. I still pray for her that she comes into the truth. Part of the reason why people are so misled is because they don't take their time to study the Bible, personnally, they only listen to what pastors say, which most times is about living the good life and they forget to mention the important things about salvation. 😥. I'm glad I know Christ, and I really pray that others will too. Amen

I have a reply too. From a fellow Nigerian I say to you that there is no one who hasn't committed evil at some level before. The topic was even briefly, but beautifully covered by Joe Kirby in a short he made. Evil isn't just murder or rape, it is bullying, disrespect for others, even telling lies. Inspire of this glaring truth it surprises me how supposed geniuses like Christopher Hitchens didn't realize this but acted as though these things (which all humans have done) were not part of the problem of evil which he and his followers gave him much credit for being an expert in. So you see if God was to answer the wish of so many it would end up in the destruction of all humans including babies as they too would only be innocent for as long as they were without the knowledge of good and evil and the best way to end all evil would be to end us before we actually do any bad if evil was to literally be stopped.

A few days ago, I dreamt I was riding in a car with God and he asked “is there anything you want to say?” And I just(I couldn’t even look at him, I looked down) said “thank you for Your Son and Your Love” and started crying. I felt that Jesus was in the backseat. But when I think about this, I know I’m not alone because God knows where He’s taking me. I just keep reading my Bible, keep praying and praising God Almighty and praising Jesus and the gift of The Holy Spirit-thanking Him! I know I can’t do anything by my own strength but through asking God for help, all things are possible. I just thought I’d express myself here 😅 God bless you all!

I just recently found your channel after I became a born again Christian. What a beautiful preaching, Thank You! I've struggled with depression, anxiety and panic attacks for over ten years now. I also contemplated taking my own life at ten years old by jumping off a bridge. I'm glad I didn't act on it, but as someone who's also been born different, the bullying in my childhood felt like hell on earth. So, I often struggle with this question, but your heartfelt explanation of why there's so much suffering suddenly made sense to me. And just as you described the story of this African man, I also feel like I no longer have any other choice (in fact I never had to begin with) either I entrust my life to God and become a follower of Christ who defeated death or I die. He is my only hope in this life and in a life here after. Thank You again for this beautiful preaching! Sending you kind regards from Finland 🙏🏻❤️

I still remember when I was early in my walk with Christ I used to think he pushed me into pits just because he could make such beauty out of the pieces I would break into. Then I realized, no, I was the one who kept hopping in that pit. And he was just being faithful, standing over me, pulling me out over and over and over and putting me back together. He’s pretty awesome like that. So gentle. So patient. How can you not love someone like that? By the way, I eventually learned not to jump in pits. My next lesson was he loved me so much he would discipline me. I got a lot of spankings. Sometimes he spanked me back into line, or to correct me for a mistruth I held, or to steer me in a direction. Or because I was following butterflies in the fields, leaving the road, and walking to my death over a sudden cliff. I appreciate every spanking I got. Every spanking hurt but they also had a side effect. I started to fear the spanking and this stole power away from temptation. Eventually temptation lost its power, the doubt game was done. The view from the top of that mountain was incredible.

Janice, you have brothers and sisters everywhere in the world! The bible verse "don't stay away from church meetings" (Heb 10:25) is true if there is a possibility to go. If there is not a single church reachable for you due to whatever circumstances, the Lord will still be with you, commune with you, and strengthen your faith! For he promised "I am always with you, even till the end of the world!" (Matthew 28). Keep heart. He is the one holding you in his hands. Shall his hands fail? Blessings from a brother in Germany

I am watching from Kenai Alaska. I was born neurologically impaired due to pregnancy natal exposure to alcohol. As you can imagine, I was horrifically bullied all through childhood and beyond. And I realize that if I didn't have this condition I'd have been smart, popular, above average, and one of the worst, most vicious bullies ever. I really think that's what my journey was all about. Bad as it was, if I didn't have this thorn in the flesh, I'd be worse than useless to God. I'm very imperfect, but I do my best to serve my Lord with all of my heart.

What I'm trying to say is all you have to do is follow God and apply yourself to your studies ya know anything that interest you but is not sinful(obvs). Patrick, I want to share this with you. The 144000 mentioned in Revelation are the human element, that work with the angels that separate the wheat from the tares & the sheep from the goats during the great tribulation. They are also a welcoming committee on Mt. Zion when Yeshua/J.C. comes back to Jerusalem at the beginning of the Millenium. BTW teachings about modern Isreal being fulfilment of Bible prophecy stopped me going agnostic/atheist back in the seventies !!!! Praise Yaweh or I would be either agnostic or atheist today !!!!!

When someone ask “How does a loving God ALLOW suffering to happen?”’i I say- No, How do WE ALLOW such suffering as human beings? A lot of what we go through, a lot of the suffering we go through is because of OUR OWN CHOICES- Our Free will! Disease, famine, wars. It’s US! Everything He’s warned us not to do- WE HAVE DONE! And what has become of our world is the consequence of our choices. We are so quick to blame God- When the blame should be on us. But God loves us so much, He put the BLAME ON JESUS! The suffering, the sin, on JESUS!

God said himself that he shapes us in the womb, which means it is not the fault of humans that babies can be born into pain, something that jesus also says (which is even shown in the video) It is Gods fault

@@InitialPC First of all, baby’s wouldn’t be born into pain if sin had never happened, so every thing in the end is humans fault. But even if we say it wasn’t, that doesn’t make it Gods fault. God is a perfect God and he makes perfect things. But we live in a broken world ruled by satan, (we broke the world through our sin) not God. So things that are now out of control can happen, but it is never Gods fault. That’s a very arrogant standpoint, and you need to reread the verses you’re talking about in context.
