What up fellas and ladies 😉, I am here to bring you another video for you to consume and enjoy (hopefully)! On this video, I'll be showing you 3 different cold starts of 3 different set ups that I've done to my exhaust system on my GLI. I liked number 1 cold start. I have a 2016 Gli and I recently put the same magnaflow 10416 and it sounds amazing.

I bought my mk6 Jetta SEL 1.8t in January and I’ve already cut off my muffler and resonator, just ordered the CTS turbo downpipe and i can’t wait to hear how it sounds and how loud it’s gonna be, appreciate the content

Glad to see your opinion brotha! Yeah, having the stock downpipe is no fun. I’m planning later on in the near future to tune my GLI to Stage 2. Right now I’m just using a Neuspeed Power Module.

Great vid 👌 simple and to the point. I have a 17 GLI with aem intake I wanna put the magnaflow res and muffler on. 2 questions, what diameter in let outlet should I get and witch res/muff did you put on yours. I'm looking at the super 10 for muffler.

I'm so sorry for the late reply brotha and thank you for your compliment. The diameter of the inlet/outlet of both resonator and muffler are 2.5"! I have a MagnaFlow Resonator #10416 and a MagnaFlow Muffler #11226. Look them up with those part numbers.

Whats the part number on your exhaust tip whats the inlet and outlet size, also did you go up in size on your exhaust or is it still stock size 2"?

I don’t know the part number of the exhaust tips. The muffler shop had most variety of exhaust tips for muscle cars but not for tuner like cars. I limited to choose 3 types of exhaust tips. None of them came in a box with branding or part number unfortunately. And yes, I did upsize my exhaust diameter to 2.5”; from catalytic converter to the muffler. Stock diameter exhaust pipe 2.25”.

Thank you very much brotha! Yeah bro I suggest getting a catback exhaust as a start. You can check out AWE Tuning for their exhaust. I heard so many good reviews on their catbacks

Before I installed the MagnaFlow muffler, it did droned, BIG time. And you were right. At first you get excited for having your car sound great and mean but the trade off is the droning. Over time it starts to get annoying. But now, with the muffler on it BARELY drones. Now I can get to fully enjoy my ride with no droning in the city or on the freeway going below 80 mph. Higher than 80 starts to drone.

Yo bro I have a 16 A3 Quattro and I wanna add a catless DP but I can’t really tune it at the moment , if I get that O2 spacer will it keep it from throwing the CEL at me? I’m also getting some custom 3” piping , I currently have a muffler delete with a vibrant resonator. Any advice?

What’s up brotha! That’s a nice car by the way. All the A3, S3, and the RS3 are clean cars! Go for it man, I have a 3” downpipe as well and I don’t have a stage 2 at this moment either. Yeah pop a O2 spacer and you’ll be fine! During the time I’ve had the O2 spacer, the CEL has only come up twice on me and it’s been more than two months without the CEL being triggered again. What brand is your vibrant resonator?

luisgotgli thanks man I appreciate that 🙏🏻 I’m gonna get the CTS 3.5” one and I’m gonna run the 3” piping from the DP back , and I’m running a vibrant performance ultra quiet resonator with a 3” out/inlet so with that I think it’ll be just the perfect set up 🤙🏻

Did you have any problem after you put thr CTS DP without stage 2? I have a GLI 2016 and APR DP (not installed) but going stage 2 its expensive so I'm looking for any alternatives

No problems what so ever. The thing is if you have an aftermarket DP installed and no stage 2 tune then you have to install a O2 sensor spacer to avoid check engine light (CEL) to tun on! Yes I know its expensive but that's my current set up and I haven't had problems.

Hey Luis look I have the Same Jetta GLI 2017 manual and I wanna put a turbo intek and the same muffler...Im actually thinking about going to the same place you took yours in Santa Ana I live 1hr 30min away...
