I watch several different dog training videos on youtube. I love reading the comments. Almost without fail, people remark that they don't want to see training examples using dogs that clearly know what they are supposed to do. A big Thank You for allowing us to watch Popcorn's transition from distracted, untrained puppy to a (hopefully) balanced, well mannered young dog. 🙏 Looking forward to following his progress.
I'm a new owner of an eight week old, Black Mouth Mountain Cur puppy. I have15 years of experience raising, and training Wolf Hybrids (medium percentage) and just had our 14year old Catahoula Cur pts 3 weeks ago. So needless to say, I have experience with bull headed dogs, but this guy is something else! I just found your channel, and I think that I can learn a lot here! I subbed, and now to binge watch...

I loooove these videos, they are so helpful! We’ve been training Duckie with all your methods! Do you guys have any methods for puppy zoomies? Usually when it happens I try to engage her with treats and commands to redirect it but after a couple minutes she gets bored and goes back to all the zoomies!

3:06 when I called my dog using her name she look at me then go to me (I don't ever remember teaching her 🤷♀️ I think she just learnt it naturally maybe?) but ofc sometimes she won't come to me when her attention is on something else. 😅😭😂
We got our puppy in quarantine, so we couldn’t get him to socialise 😥😥 he used to love strangers, always licking and wagging his tail but since then it takes at least 4-5 days for him to get used to them... he is 10 months old and is very scared of big dogs, and never ever plays with small ones. He is very sweet to those who know him very well. I can train him, but he doesn’t like the dog biscuits in the market.. he can sit, he will come when called most of the time, he will move, go, but he will bark at strangers and pee/poo after seeing them 😓😓 Otherwise he is very sweet ☺️he is a shih tzu . 10 months old. The reason why we don’t take him to training is because there aren’t very good ones in india... he is active, listens to us, but he still need good training so Idk anymore ;w;
Yes, but having a smart dog also means that timing and thoroughly thinking about what you do or reinforce is more important because they will learn things the wrong way much faster than the average dog and make every flaw in your training apparent. If you aren't training efficiently enough a smart dog will outsmart you.

My puppy has learned her name and she comes when I call her name and “Come” but she will not walk on a leash with a collar or harness and she bites EVERYTHING EVERYONE AND EVERY ANIMAL she sees!
My puppy just doesn’t even care even if I do the same steps you take 💀 I’ve had a total of 3 puppies/dogs in my life and she’s the only one I’ve had a hard time training
