I also wanted to let you know that your video and setting up receivers is about the best I've ever seen. Thank you man. I will be watching more of your videos for assistance when needed and maybe just becouse there so good.
Thank you so much for these videos. This is by far the best video series on setting up these new receivers. We all really appreciate your time in putting these videos together!
Your videos are very good and answers a question I could not find otherwise. It appears that you are saying that when in safe mode there is only one Flight Mode, FM, channel available, correct? Like you I have FM 1 with no gain but do have different gains in FM2 and FM3. If that is correct that answers a question that so far Spektrum has not been able to answer. A second question is, how do you select which FM to use for the SAFE setting?
Great series. Question about the High Thr to Pitch setting. I want to use this for hand launching. Does the selected Angle override the angle limits set for Safe? Or so I need to assign a separate Flight Mode for launch and set the High Thr to Pitch?
Can the AR637T be used without a smart esc, and still use the AS3x and safe mode flying? I understand that you can, just the telemetry will not be used.
Great video. I have the new AR630 which I’m sure the set menus are probably the same. I had to mount the receiver backwards (pins to the front) When I set up AS3X of course every thing now works backwards. I’m not getting the picture for orientation, so I can’t change the orientation. (front to back.) any suggestions?? Thanks
Miguel : My name is Tony. can u please help me with this. I have a Spekrum AR637T RECEIVER WITH SAFE INSTALLED WHEN PURCHASE. AND IM USEING A NEW SPMXAE1100 100AMP SMART ESC. WHEN I BIND IT IT WILL NOT BIND THE SAFE MODE IN.( AT ALL) I PULL THE BIND PLUG BEFOR BINDIN AND I HAVE ALSO USED THE BUTTON ON THE RECEIVER TO BIND AND STILL GET NO SAFE MODE. (Y)???
I have the AR630 ..6 volt rated servos and i bought the 9.9 3200 Sprektrum smart battery. Will the reciever and servos be able to handle the voltage without roasting everything?
Do you know why on my receiver I set it up with my NX8 got everything running good with default mode safe works when I flip up the switch but when i go down on the switch for the as3x the gyro doesn’t want to turn on even when I power up to 50 percent power can you help
Hey Miguel. Do you or anyone here happen to know if there is a way to changed the Angle demand of and BNF so that it banks at a more agreesively on turns?
So I could setup FM1=off, FM2=AS3X and FM3=SAFE from the outset. Fly the model in FM1 first (I've been flying for 20 years, so I know how to trim a plane),then fly in FM2 and see if the gains are ok, and if they are then switch to SAFE. I could do all that in one flight and switch to FM1 if something's not quite right. Right?
I am with you, I know its a challenging hobby and that makes it fun but cmon. I bought an AR630 because I thought it would be interesting and I thought cools I have a receiver that would turn any plane into an UMX timber. Safe select, Hi, Lo rates. But this is crazy, Spectrum needs to simplify this, just being so complicated people are going to buy the cheap non-programmable rx. So many questions, whats the difference between safe select on the timber and panic? Why do I have an option for more then 3 flight modes but I can never see 4. Why does the rx and tx each flight modes. Why is there an option to double the gain on a number like 16, couldnt I just move the gain to 32?
Couldn't agree more. Spektrum goes out of it's way to entice new flyers into the sport, then puts up technological barriers that only an experienced pilot could deal with.
