My partner has high-functioning anxiety. I sure would love your input on how best to help him manage and lessen it, if possible. He’s somewhat aware that it comes from being raised by abusive, alcoholic parents, but how do I help support his recovery? Often, he is aware that his behaviors and reactions in the moment are only because of the anxiety he experiences, but I feel so helpless when he’s in that cranked-up, worried, nervous, state. Do I just keep my distance? Is there anything I can say that might help???? I’d love,love, love a short or a full video on what support from loved ones might look like.
