Having excess chest fat can make you feel very uncomfortable as a man, especially when you take your shirt off around other people. A lot of men will quickly assume that if they have a lot of chest fat they probably have a condition known as gynecomastia. And gynecomastia is a term used to describe the growth of a mans breast tissue which is typically caused by a hormonal imbalance such as having very high estrogen levels and very low testosterone levels. However gyno is usually not the actual cause of the excess chest fat or man boobs. Instead if you're a man struggling with chest fat you most likely have something known as pseudogynecomastia which is simply increased fat deposits around your chest and most likely you also have some excess body fat in other areas as well. (1) Since everybody has different genes our bodies will preferentially store fat in different places. While women will USUALLY store more fat around their hips, and thighs men usually store it around their chest, belly and love handles. (2) And even though you may be unlucky if you're more prone to storing fat around your chest, you're very lucky that this is a totally fixable issue. And the very first step to fixing this issue is to decrease your overall body fat percentage. Unfortunately, no matter what anyone else tells you there isn't one single exercise that can target your chest fat. There are exercises that can help build muscle and improve the shape and definition of your chest, which I'll get into in a second, but there's no way to spot reduce the fat that's sitting on top of that chest muscle. However, even if your body prefers to store fat around your chest, by burning enough overall body fat you will burn off the chest fat as well. So most people will tell you to just create a calorie deficit by simply subtracting 500 calories per day. However, even if you're eating less calories, but those calories are coming from sources that are processed or high in fat and sugar then you're more likely to create insulin resistance, which will physically prevent fat loss, and instead of burning that extra 500 calories per day, your body will just slow down its metabolism to make up for those missing calories. So, instead of just tracking calories you'll want to also know your macros, and this is very important, you'll want to fill those macros with the fresh whole foods that you'll find around the outside perimeter of your grocery store. These are foods that don't come in a box, and they're usually made out of just one ingredient like salmon, or rice, or eggs....To easily find out your macros you can click the link for the calculator below, but keep in mind as you lose weight and as your body adapts to the amount of calories you're taking in your metabolism will slow down and you will have to readjust to keep losing weight. But a great way to prevent your metabolism from slowing down as much is to cycle your calories. One of the best ways to do that is by dropping your calories lower by let's 30% from maintenance for two weeks, and then bring your calories back up to maintenance levels for two weeks. Research shows that this two weeks on two weeks off dieting approach leads to more fat loss, it's more sustainable, and it's less likely to result in metabolic slowdown. (3) There are other ways that you can cycle your calories too such as carb cycling where you would have high carb and low carb days, and you can also do something like an alternate day fast where you eat at maintenance one day and then eat under 500 calories the next day. All of these will help delay metabolic slowdown as you burn that chest fat. Now underneath that fat I'm sure you're hoping to find some nice pecs. But to make that happen you have to follow step two which is to perform weight training. If you're breaking down your muscles with weights your body is going to divert the calories and protein, carbs, and fats that you're eating towards rebuilding your muscles which will....

The only fat I can't lose is around my belly everything else is completely gone. Its a shame if I could lose the belly fat I would have a six pack too but it doesn't matter what I do it won't quite shift.

Could you please explain to me why you decided to change and how you decided to change ? I was obese and I'm now losing weight. @@poorcomboz3577 when I enter the gym I start with dead lift 4 reps and 5 sets... Then benchpress is the same... Then squats and then bent over rows... My weight is the heaviest I can go... I then do biceps and triceps as super set using that skew bar Lol... All those excersizes he explains are on his vids... Also I complete cut out sugar unless its from a fruit and ate avocado when ever I felt hungry... Supper time I ate whatever my wife cooked but I also had lotsa salad... I also cut out dairy products and any of those sauces we enjoy so much... I drank 3-4 cups of sugarless black coffee a day

Very good advice! You can't target fat loss in a specific spot and I think that's one of the main misconceptions out there. When it comes to losing fat, you have to lose fat everywhere to lose fat in your chest.

Best advice, avoid anything that comes in a box. Eat meat and fresh veggies, snack on fruit and drink water or milk (mainly water). Chicken is your best friend, salmon is best if you like fish, beef is also great, be careful with pork because its naturally salty. MODERATION is key though, if you dont portion out your meals you will end up overeating and that will be bad. One of my favorite meals is a sirloin seasoned with Webers Chicago steak seasoning, pan fried broccoli with garlic and minced onion and a small potato of some sort. All is cooked with Kerrygold butter. Make sure your veggie portion is larger than your meat portion and make sure the smallest amount is your carbs.

Timothy gave great advice. On addition I'd add to keep your sugar content low. Eat less carbohydrates as the day goes on. I workout at noon so I try to have most my carbs before then. I'll have some for lunch and little to none for dinner. Dinner is normally grilled chicken breast with a green veggies. Also try not to have your last meal too late in the evening. Some healthy carbs you can incorporate are brown rice, whole grains, quinoa, and sweet potatoes. Good luck!

Eat in just a 4 to 6 hour window each day. Cut out all processed foods and condiments. Drink only WATER with your Meals and No Soda or Alcohol of any kind while you are wanting to lose weight. The food part is actually easier than you think. Takes about a week to adjust. You can start with just eating Eggs and Bacon and Cooking Frozen Veggies for your meals. You can also have Sardines and Veggies for meals. Cut all Bread, Sugar, and Pasta also. I would say have a little Fruit only a couple times a week at most in the beginning. Hamburger on a Plate Topped with Cheddar Cheese (Pork Chop, Chicken Thigh, or Steak are good too.) and some Veggies is good also. Basically just eat Meat and Veggies and only drink Water with your meals. Make sure that at LEAST 12 hours passes between eating ANYTHING with Calories and you will find what works for you. :~) P.S. A baked potato with only Butter and seasonings is OK also. But not more than ONE at a meal. LOL

Jeremy Either has a great RU-vid channel. Really I feel like if you shop the perimeter of the supermarket so only fresh whole foods ( no sugar from processed foods) eat more protein ( I eat around 1 gram per lb of body weight) I feel like just doing that is huge. I do lower carb higher protein and fat. Keep it whole foods low sugar ( I do use carbs to fuel weight training) and you'll be great! Play around with whole foods and see how YOU feel and perform ☺️

It literally takes everything. Weights, cardio, and eating healthy. I once went from 205 down to 163 by doing this. Unfortunately I'm back to 194 right now. The hardest part is diet (for me especially saying no to beer)

I found the best way to reduce chest fat. Stop eating bread, becuse it has heigh kcal and increase chest fat. Or you can eat less. I traind like creazy but still i dont get good result. When i eat less bread my chest fat and other fats are reduced. Try you can see very good result soon:)
