First time I was home alone I was 9. I kept hearing a banging on glass, I was terrified. I ended up hiding in the upstairs bathroom for the hour and a half I was alone. Once my parents came home I investigated the noise. It was my turtle banging her shell on the side of her aquarium...
We had a similar experience.... but it was one of my cats and she was hitting her back leg into the litter box wall ... freaked the shit out of my daughter and I the first few times we heard it, until we figured out it was the damn cat!!! The sound was so weird but afterwards so funny!
I'm sure you get this a lot, but my lord you've got a rockin body! That hard work paid off, you look breast! I mean you look great! How does auto correct change great to breast! That Freudian slip...
I mean my house has some paranormal shit going on and I stay home alone all the time, but I’m not really scared by it so 🤷♂️ it is kinda odd though if she’s that scared why would she stay behind
Yes, soooo amazing having still pictures being zoomed in on slowly, or a camera sound effect added to pictures so we know they're... Pictures. Without that sound effect, you would have just thought they were still images, not pictures. Very helpful. Seriously though dude, how is it amazing? I've seen WAAAAY better editing done by just one person, so this isn't really that impressive. It's just your standard Rob Dyke video, which is a good thing.
Sleep walked onto basement stairs. NopeNopeNopeNope. Line of salt the door, deadbolt it, push a dresser in front of it. I'm not gonna lie, i would have just left as soon as I woke up on the stairs. "To this day". Bruuuuuh, then you're asking for it.
I kinda miss the old rob dyke stuff. Like the killer files and such. I also miss the original illustrations he had for each video. I suppose I can’t blame him, just have to blame RU-vid and the adpocalypse. I just hope this doesn’t turn into basically r/letsnotmeet
might be a little late to the game here but why exactly did youtube demonitize creepy videos? I mean...those vids are the most watched unless you count kitten vines. I would think that there would be MORE ads on creepy videos.
@@deisirae8536 mostly due to them saying that dark content such as this wasn't advertisement-friendly or family-friendly. Basically YT being greedy killjoys, if I'm getting this right. A lot of horror/dark-related channels got hit hard from this, too.
Totally agree. I feel like youtube probably lost a shit ton of viewers but unfortunately rob might have as well. I miss the old shit so much. It was amazing.
From personal experience; some of these sound like sleep paralysis. Not everyone experiences sleep paralysis and some only experience it once. Others, like me, experience it regularly.
The first time I had sleep paralysis, I was sleeping on the couch, curled toward it, and it actually FELT exactly like a cold hand touching my neck and it is the closest I have ever come to thinking 'ghosts?' when I have always lived in the room my sister died in and have always known the paranormal was bullshit. I never met her; my family can say they see her all they want; I don't see or feel her because my brain has no memory to construct a delusion from. Not that long after that I learned about sleep paralysis and had a big moment of realization. A big identifier for me is that it's like being awake but you're unable to move and you can feel the malevolent misfire of panic chemicals like some great evil is coming to get you and you know you are unable to stop them. They tend to have a personal flair. Mine tend to be auditory hallucinations, the worst one someone laughing evilly at me, mocking me, seemingly right outside my window. That kept me up real bad. I knew I was safe but was unable to feel so. I am pretty lucky to not see things usually. If you experience sp, talking to yourself about how it isn't real and you're safe because you are, and calmly trying to move will pull you out of it and it will probably subside if you can stay relaxed about sleeping. The feeling is a dark omnipresence you do not typically feel and so simply biological. I have even had sp episodes where I had no hallucinations. I woke up (more than likely I was never really asleep because I tend to get the falling asleep sort), saw a fixed view of my dark bedroom, calmly informed myself of the situation, wiggled a toe and then awake I was. Whether you are a skeptic or a believer, its Wikipedia page is worth a read. Interesting.
@@xSwordLilyx Ever had that thing where you wake up from it, but you're not awake? so you wake yourself up again, and again, and again, each time trying desperately to wake up, but each time something tells you you're still dreaming like "nope, the window is water.... still dreaming.... " I literally walk back to my bed and dive back into my sleeping body, and try again, and again, and again... 10 or 15 times sometimes. Sometimes with a growl, or a 'help me' as I ACTUALLy wake up It's scary.
@@themudpit621 hate those damn loops.. Luckily haven't had that or sleep paralysis in a while. Hm. Now that I think of it, it hasn't happened since I moved out of my old house going on 3 years ago
yes...yes it does....I had a huge spider in the middle of my living room right. I snuck up on it, & dropped a glass above it....then waited for my boyfriend to come home. I didn't even go back to the room even though it was contained. Later found out wen he got home it was a " brown recluse" spider.. Nope....nope....nope...he can have the room.😁
A fictional name for a person who's going to tell a fictional story. I'm sure Rob used that name before for another one of his older fictional stories.
I mean idk man haunted or not if i had a house that's basically all mine and in my name I would put up with it for a while until I figure out to get rid out ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The history of my house: It was built. Parents moved in. The wooden toilet stall in the backyard was blown up with fireworks. Another toilet fell in the front garden after a storm. I guess we're haunted by toilets...
My disturbing experience: It keeps happening... As soon as I finish one video, I’m forced to wait patiently for Rob Dyke to upload another video. It’s a vicious cycle.
Rob, this is absolutely phenomenally done. I am so chilled and creeped out. Seeing my own story featured in your video is surreal, and it really does bring me back to that time, along with the fear. I love witnessing and being part of the evolution of your videos. I loved this so much ♡
@@domin-ho Those nightmares you said you had with that shadowy figure really resemble sleep paralysis. I occasionally have the same kind of nightmares and they always feature similar figures. And the thing is, even though I've had these numerous times, I can never tell I'm having a dream, it feels so terrifyingly real because I can't move and sometimes I can barely breathe. Did those nightmares stop when you and your family left that house?
@@domin-ho I'm glad they did. :) I'm also aware I'm dreaming, most of the times. I have lucid dreams quite frequently and it's awesome that I get to do whatever I want! But those nightmares always seem real until I wake up and realize they're not. I've always had sleep related problems.
Lol, Macaulay just made an appearance with Google for their Google assistant ad Home Alone Again and he did a video with AVGN 4 days ago playing all the Home Alone games that was made for every console from the 90's.
I preferred his other content. I liked the ones with verified facts instead of basically telling stories. Still a good video just wish he'd get back to his old style.
I think the reason he does these is because it’s a way for him to prevent RU-vid demonitization because it is just “story telling” rather than actual violence that has previously occurred
The first girl: she clearly was an attention seeker & abused herself for views & to be part of the Metoo movement. This is what all women do. #YesAllWomen
The second girl had the same story as someone on a Netflix show called “Haunted” except it was a mother that killer the kids and hung herself in the closet and the mother that was doing the haunting soooo...
Thanks for the new video, Rob. Been hoping to see more of you lately and posting. I've been a subscriber for 2 years. You're tv quality content, so, much appreciated. I really have a main story id like to send you, and get it off my chest. It's something I'll vividly never forget.
There was a show during my childhood in England called Strange but True, it was fascinating and terrifying every episode. I cannot believe that you are not hosting a show of the same theme on something like Netflix. Love the channel Rob! 🤘🏻
That was really well done Mr Duke, I just loved how you had the tellers of the stories there to give their actual accounts. It makes the whole stories that much more believable. Good job. Thanks for all your hard work. I look forward to seeing what you upload next.
Some women endure abusive husbands for decades. Ocassionally men do the same sh!t too. Maybe, it's learned helplessness. Maybe, it's disbelief in that it's really that bad. Some also rather die than admit defeat, as if enduring it would make it any better and cutting losses would make all the suffering in vain...
That last one is the most terrifying thing I’ve ever fucking heard, I imagine I’d have some awful nightmares for the rest of my life if that happened to me, and I can’t imagine how I’d react.
9:20 I've had that at my brothers old house twice. Sleep paralysis. Try to get up, move, breathe and nothing happens. It is the scariest thing and I've only had it happen twice napping on the same futon in a spare room at his house.
Yay, a Rob upload and a Cayleigh upload for Halloween. Just what I needed after dealing with taking my kids trick or treating, and finally getting the monsters to bed. I’ve got my beer. I’m ready.
My Dude, Rob. You are the best RU-vidr for Mysteries/Murder shows. Your vocal rhythm and tone are perfect for this realm of media. The high quality and production of your videos have always impressed me. Your passion for this media is admirable and inspiring. You have such potential to do even bigger things. I hope that one day someone sees this and you get to host a highly funded show or movie one day. That would be so amazing to see one of my favorite youtubers make it big. I’ve been a fan since early 2013. Keep up the amazing work. Keep on pushing, Impose your will.
Whenever I’m home alone I always look in possible hiding spots when they are empty I lock the door lock all the windows close all the bedroom doors and keep my baseball bat close by just in case
Awesome, just as my housemates have gone for the weekend. I'm gonna crack a beer and watch this is my boxers, at hone alone, enjoying it all until I get too creeped out and lock myself in my bedroom with a pizza until dawn 😃
I had that tappy sounds when I was a teenager. Sounds exactly like how someone would knock that window in the corner of my room. It never bothered me but one time, i was so upset about something (typical rebellious teen) so I scolded into the window direction and the tap stopped completely until even today. Now I think about it, the tapping never escalate or trying to harm me. If supernatural beings really exist, I feel so bad that I scolded it.
This was a story that happened a few years ago. My family had just gotten home from dinner and I was going to walk up to the front door. I saw a man with a hat through our kitchen window walk by. I yelled for my mom, and she made my dad go in there and check it out. He came out and said there was nothing there. I always felt quite weird in that house, but after that incident, I had strange nightmares and heard strange noises around the houses. We moved away about a year later to a whole different state. My parents said kids just have a wild imagination and I'm just being crazy. Idk what to think about this because no one ever believed me.
Everyone is really criticizing your move to telling scary stories but I find these videos entertaining and having you tell them makes it that much better. Keep doing you.
For the last one about the Skinwalker, I've heard these kinds of stories many times (but usually attributed to a glitch in the matrix or a doppelganger. There are even stories where.people have spoken to/gotten calls from friends and family who are alive, only to find out that the person never spoke to them (from their friend's perspective, anyway). One story involved a person hearing a friend talking on the phone to a friend, then getting a call from the same friend (somehow the friend on the line is talking to both people, who r in the same room, and their voice is having 2 separate conversations on both phones simultaneously) I've also heard several stories just like this one (such as a guy who saw his brother walk by his bedroom, and a kid who saw his brother sitting at his desk facing away and ignoring him, when neither of them were actually home).
Omg the 5:40ish mark made me laugh so hard. It was so Sinister and hauntinh, the guy says 'she continues to deal with these attacks to this day' then all of a sudden this as with really cheery music pops up 😂
the element of bringing in your viewers and letting them tell their stories is really refreshing, I've always looked forward to when you upload, but now it's even more exciting. Because it's not know-stories told in the news or wide-spread in the internet, it's something new, in every sense of the word.
I'm home alone almost every night, since homeboy works 3rd shift. An old, drafty house that's falling apart pretty badly, on a hill on a mountain in Kentucky. Sometimes I feel like someone is watching me. Thankfully, I've got a 22 rifle, a 30-30, a police baton, several sharp butcher knives, and 5 dogs to alert me.
