3 Things I Learned by NOT Dating In High School 

I didn't date in high school but instead started my writing career. I just focused on school and developing who i am in Christ and i don't reget it at all😊

When I was sixteen I made a list of things that I wanted in a man. Everyday I prayed for God to bring the right one to me in his timing. So whether I was going to be 18 or 27 by the time I got him, I wanted my first boyfriend to be my only boyfriend. I just wanted God's will for my life. I gave dating to God. And everyday I prayed for my future husband even though I didn't know of I had even met him yet. I asked God to convict my heart and every time I would start "liking" a boy, I asked God to shut it down before it got to actually be a relationship and every time, he did exactly that. it's been a couple years since I prayed those prayers and he has allowed me to meet the love of my life and we choose to continue walk this path with the Lord together. Love you Jamie!

i'm a high school student , and i'm one of the only people i know who has no interest in dating .... and i've always felt so strange for that. but i've had conviction from God to hold off and not date , to just wait for His perfect timing. i'm more focused on my music (i play guitar and sing for youth band at church) and that's really what i'm putting all of my energy into. thank you for making this video , it's what i needed to see

OMG JAMIE GRACE!!! This is my life rn lol I was taken out of public schools and went to a Christian private school from 4th to 8th grade, then I was home schooled for 9 and 10th grade, then was actually able to go to community college and skip 11th and 12th grade. I'm 17, never been in a relationship and I love the decision I've made. I'm also saving myself for marriage. And ALOT of my peers don't agree with my decisions or understand my convictions but I can honestly say that I'm in a VERY good place in my life. I'm 17 and I've owned a business since I was 13 and I've done alot of amazing things and I can honestly say it's simply from doing what God has called me to do. And my life is by no means. perfect but I just look at some of the things my peers struggle with and I'm just thankful those are things I don't have to worry about. My parents are pastors and I'm even just thankful to them for doing the "unpopular" thing and raising me like they did. BUT I'm gonna shut up now lol and just say I really appreciate you and your channel. You're such an amazing person and yah you're awesome lol

Jamie Grace, I really hope you respond to this. I'm 13 right now and my goals are the same as yours. I want to play guitar, piano, and become a Christian singer. Maybe not by myself, maybe in a band, but I'm going where the Lord takes me. I'm in a band right now (we haven't released anything yet) with my best friend who plays drums and piano pretty well and is teaching herself xylophone and guitar. It would be great if my fellow Christian friends prayed for her bc she is having family issues right now. But seriously Jamie, you have just been so inspirational toward me, and the further I watched this video I realized that I totally agree with you on guys and how much you have meant to me. You are probably my biggest role model. And don't think that if you do something wrong that that will change. I love you Jamie!

Thank you for putting another perspective on dating and also waiting on the guy that the Lord has planned for you. It helps my new teen and preteen to understand what we as parents try to talk with them about. A lot of pressure sometimes for our girls from friends with families backing up the dating in early grade school, even like Pre-K, and beyond.

Do you think maybe you could do a video on ideas of how/what we should pray for when praying for our future spouse?

I would address though that a lot of kids, girls in particular who don't have 'good' parents or family situation seek someone to 'fill the void', Especially those who don't have a (settled) relationship with The Lord. Young people need involvement & want to be social with peers (but those not in tune with The Lord, can misdirect in to things all over the board! ...This is where things can get all kinds of crazy & confusing! ** Young people that find yourself in this place... Find a church where you see a lot of happy people your age! A loving church family and youth group and "youth group leaders/mentors" that really care about the 'kids' they mentor! * Ask those going there what they think of the leaders. Be selective, find yourself mentors who have their lives together, who put God first and are making a difference for good in the kids they are mentoring!** ) Be wise and choose friends who are like minded as much as possible, so you can encourage each other & pray with each other toward God's Best for your lives! This is priceless! and THEN you will be on the path to the ''right" person fit for you! But in the mean time., you will (as Jamie said) be developing as the person God designed you to be! Have fun and dont worry about that now! Let "The (your) Father" arrange your marriage. Trust He will do this at the best time for you and the other person. No worries! Father knows best! :-)

At this point, I am the only person in my friend group who hasn't had a date or boyfriend. Sometimes it's hard when I see them gushing over their significant other but it's even harder when I see them get their heart broken.
