Until a few months back I was in the same position as you - almost 26 and never had a boyfriend. Being in full time ministry and constantly had people trying to set me up. God has brought the most amazing man of God into my life and I'm so glad that I never wasted my heart and emotions on 'dating' just for the sake of it. Be picky and keep being proud of it! Bless you for that decision. My brother has the same thing in his heart and he is about 32. He completely and blindly trusts God with a future wife. But my mom is very disheartened and in a rush to see him married and with kids. Sometimes that passes on to me but I fix my eyes again on the greater plan. Pray for him pls for I know his reward will be great.

Breeny Lee I took out a few girls in my 20’s. I wouldn’t really call them dates. I actually hate dating, And I’m not bragging, but the last 3 women I’ve been with, I never dated. All 3 trusted Me enough that I would not force them into a sexual relationship until they were ready, If ever. Anyway, all 3 women crossed state lines to be with me, and I never dated any Of them. We just moved in together. The last woman was the most successful and We were together for 18 years, until she died from breast cancer that spread to her Bones, and she died, unfortunately. Now if I could be just as successful with younger Women, doing the same thing, I’d be very happy. I also don’t cheat on women, nor do I try and control them. One last thing: There are so many insecure guys out there who Are so worried if they don’t have sex very quickly with a woman: They don’t realize That it’s highly possible it will happen sooner or later, and it doesn’t matter if it’s Later. What’s important is that you enjoy each other’s company. I mean, they are Really worried, and it’s silly because if the 2 people never got around to mating, The world would end. No more new people would exist.
I don't date. I feel like investing time and emotions into guys casually, leads to confusion. I ask most of the uncomfortable questions before the first date. I don't waste time.
I must say I respect this a lot. I have been in relationships and we were at two very different places in our walk with God. I am going to be 32 on the 17th and still a virgin saving myself for my husband. Keep standing in your beliefs regardless of what people say. I know how it can be with people telling you what you should do.

Ive been single since I was born too! When people ask me why, I just laugh, and say, "I'm very serious about marriage, and I haven't found someone yet that I'm willing to spend the rest of my life with or felt God tugging at me to date a certain person" and then they say, "well, no one thinks that way anymore". Jamie, I had this exact same mindset before I got married. You are leaps and bounds ahead of where I was in my maturity before I got married. I didn't want to date because 1) I don't like the dating world and how messed up it is, and 2) I prayed that I wouldn't have to date around before I met my husband. So I did go on intentional dates, but I did not want to date casually. I never had a boyfriend and I met my husband when I was 25 and we got married when I was 26. I don't believe it's old-fashioned, I believe it's intentional and I really think it's what God desires for us. Not saying that God hates when we date casually, but I don't think God intended for us to "shop around" before we met our future spouses.
I will be 20 in a few months and I'm literally in the same position. I get told all the time that there are not people who think the way that I do but you confirmed that there are still young women who are waiting on God's best by walking in their purpose. ❤️

I'm in a season of singleness. I became marriage minded when I was young, but really was rushing it. but the fact is, I was tryi g to rush it with unequally yoked women. they werent saved. so I became like you where I wasnt going to date again unless I found the right one. and I think I might have.

Made some dating mistakes in the past but know that God has redeemed me and is making me ready for my husband. Thanks for sharing. Sometimes it's nice just to know ur not alone. I just turned 26 and, similar story, never been in a relationship, never been willing to settle for a guy who doesn't share my same values and convictions. I don't drink, go to bars or clubs or parties. I've always believed in getting to know someone as friends first, and if it turns into something more ok, if not ok. So far no one has gotten past the friend zone lol. Keep godly standards, girls. I've seen good marriages and I've seen women who have to come to church alone because their husbands are not committed like they are. Kids in those families don't always see the importance of church or even God bc, if it's not important to one parent, why should it really matter to them? .....How can any 2 walk together unless they agree? How can any 2 lead a family in faith unless they agree? Better to be single than out of God's will.

This is so beautiful. I wish I never dated anyone or kissed anyone and save that innocence for my future husband but I'm glad I haven't fully given myself completely to any guy. I'm 27 and most of my friends are married or in a relationship and getting that "you're not getting any younger" speech. I use to give chances to guys that did not fit my standards only because I get the "give him a chance and stop being picky" often, and when I do give the chance I knew I should have trusted myself instead of giving in to others. As I get older I realise that it's not a bad thing to have standards and right now I'm single but I don't have the need to date or be in a relationship with anybody which I'm quite happy about. I wish I felt like this at an earlier age but God works in mysterious ways in each of our journeys so you keep strong to your faith and when that time comes that our good Lord blesses you with a husband, for sure you will make an amazing wife.(sorry for the long essay)
I'm so glad that I'm not the only girl that is marriage minded & I've always been like this. I'm 19y/o & I've never had a boyfriend before just like you ! I've been on dates but I've Never met someone that I feel like will like to spend the rest of their life with me haha, I do believe that God has someone for each one of us but is our decision whether we want to wait for that person or just date someone for their "looks" & then be heartbroken. I rather wait for the one that God has for me because he might me preparing him for me just like he's preparing me for him. I've also heard a lot of "couple stories" that they pray for each other before meeting each other & God answered their prayers. Now they're happily married because they had the patience to wait on the right one & God is the center of their relationship & I feel like God must be on the center of every relationship because that's what keeps a couple together forever. Just like his world says : "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." -Ecclesiastes 4:12 I hope you find the man you deserve soon !! And I realized a lot of times, we want romantic relationships because we crave that intensity and attention of it, but you can have that intensity with your girlfriends and family as well. I am soooooo glad to hear someone speaking up about "JESUS " Being the Reason! There is a great Big difference in being Christian and Church Folk...than Truly Living a set apart life " presenting our bodies as "living sacrifices" holy and acceptable unto God" Knowing that if we claim to love JESUS, This is our reasonable Sacrifice. And each day we are to deny ourselves of living like those who have not been transformed. With all our heart, mind, body and soul. Why are we saved anyhow? For marriage only? Or Just for other things? No, we are saved by the Blood of JESUS, to be reconciled back from Sin...to our Heavenly Father God,,,to live a holy, and righteous life before Him, as truly anointed vessels of God. Our lives belong to GOD and his Son is the way. If our lives lines up in His Word and in The Holy Spirit, who guides and teaches us, fills us with God's power in Christ... all these other things if it's His will shall come in time. First let us get right with the Lord, then He will give us the Power to "Wait on all other things!!! Romans 12:1-2

Totally #relatable lol...Im 20 years old, I've never dated anyone, never had a boyfriend and basically never had true feelings for someone so never been heartbroken YAAAAS!! haha this is been an incredible journey, at times hard but over all amazing. I got to know Jesus and know myself through him, and because i know who I am in Christ, I love myself know myself and respect myself Ive decided to wait for the right time and the right man for me. My life hasn't stopped and is not going to stop because I'm single, I don't get my value from a cute relationship that I can brag on insta, being single is exiting and you do learn to enjoy every season that you're in, it's been awesome and I know it will be worth it!! I wanna get married and have a family one day but it's not happening right now and it's fine with me!! :)

I've never been around a solid marriage so I may not know what it looks like but I know wjat my spirit urges and I follow it. But I gotta say: when a girl gets married, has children...she really doesn't have the opportunity to serve God as much as she could have while she was single. The duties marriage and parenthood brings just don't allow you the freedom and flexibility...so enjoy it and serve to the fullest! Of course marriage and parenthood are ministries of their own, in their own way...but it's different.
Marry someone who makes it easy and worship God together! Also caring for a family is a way of worship as well. I'm Muslim and I'm so glad other girls have this beautiful mindset as well!
