The worst part for me was that my mother basically brainwashed me to be a nice guy mostly because of Christianity and all that. I'm not saying Christian values are bad but the stuff about being nice to others only works on people who are willing to be nice themselves. It never works on a-holes.

What did you exactly do that made you say sorry?

@@rafaelrosal. tbh I don't exactly remember, since it was around 10 years ago. But I think it was about small things where it was not because I did something that clearly upset her, but rather me saying it out of insecurity (or habits I grew out of insecurity in some past). And it was essentially her warning me "don't do this too much or it won't weigh up against your attractive parts anymore". She was quite open about her previous relations as well, in a respectful way, analysing why the attraction vanished (and also her own role in it), rather than speaking bad about the other person. It just took me a while to get to know myself a bit better and to be able to better understand the value of such moments.

We were in my car kissing almost front facing her home (she lived with her parents) and then she was like ‘oh my parents are going to see me’ I pulled back and said oh sorry and she was like oh do not apologize to me. And we kept kissing. I just didn’t know really women don’t like men apologizing for everything. End of story 😂. If I had known about uncle C I would’d said nothing and kept kissing her.
