3 Types of Corvette Owners! Which One Are You? 

There's a 4th type of Corvette owner that likes to track their vette. BTW, great video and frankly I'm all 4.

I'm a 2+. A 2 plus I love to enter it in judged shows. Make no mistake though, it's not a garage queen. Save the Wave 🙋‍♂

I am def a mix of all 3 - my '03 is used for driving and commuting and my '65 is for shows

I don't know if I fit any of those categories, per se, possibly a combination of all three. I'm 72 now and just recently bought a 2015 Z51 with the 3LT package and tha A8 transmission. I've been without a Corvette since my 69 427 roadster (which I ordered and bought new) was stolen. It was a daily driver and I raced it in SCCA A Production until 1976, when SCCA cancelled A Production as a national class. I like driving a responsive car with good handling characteristics and sm really looking forward to unleashing it on some of our twisty roads here in the mountains of Arizona. BTW, I went for the auto primarily because I lost my left leg (below the knee) a few years ago and I don't think I can reliably operate a clutch without having any feeling in my prosthetic leg. I must say, though, the A8 is extremely good in automatic mode, and is very controllable in manual mode.

I put 10,000 miles on mine this year, it was my daily. When I had the time I showed it a few times and did some touring with it. Honestly the most fun my son and I have is just meeting folks.

I drive both my C3 and C5. The C3 is mostly for car shows and the C5 is a daily/weekly driver. I mostly enjoy the Vette community and just hanging out with everyone.

I,m 72 and had a lot of corvettes growing up and found their are 3 tips of owners ...1- the ones how baby their cars- washing waxing and putting them back in the garage. 2-the who run the s@#* out of them. 3 - the everyday driver

Definitely a 2, leaning more towards driving it although I was President of our Corvette club for 5 years and enjoy the events. Traded in my 2008 3LT convertible with manual transmission for a 2023 3LT HTC performance exhaust, front lift, carbon flash painted top, nacelles, low spoiler, door trim, wheels and other trim pieces with an Arctic White body. Best vehicle this 75 yo has ever driven.

all 3. I drive as a daily driver except stored for winter. We live in the Western NY snow belt. Love to cruise with our club and with just my wife. Driven several race tracks, tail of the dragon twice and Ohio 555. For our 50th anniversary we did a 7600 mi lap of the country. Do several car shows and cruise ins each year. We enjoy seeing what others are driving and making new friends. since Sept 21 I've logged 29,000 miles.

My C4, I like driving it. I like hanging out with everybody. I like working on it, and I like helping others solve their issues on various forums. I really like how that even though my car old and not the best looking, everyone is so nice!

I love driving a car that provides feedback and wanted something that was also good on long road trips. My C5 M6 works for me. At some point I may pop into a show to check out the scene, but for now I am definitely Category 3.

I've owned a 1988 Z51, a 1991 ZR-1, a 2011 Cadillac CTS-V, and now own a 2016 Z06. It's a 3LZ convertible in Daytona Sunrise Orange Metallic. I think I'm number 2. I just love to drive my car and get comments and waves. I've never been to a show, corvettes and coffee, or had it on a race track. I am so impressed with the C8s performance, but I just like the looks of the C7 better, and it was more affordable. Haha! Thanks for the video!

When I was teenager we would attend car shows weekly. As I got older the car show scenes has definitely vanished. I’d enjoy driving whenever I can.

When I get mine I am going to be driving it and going to shows!

I wear Jean shorts and new balances and make sure to obsessively clean my corvette because my corvette is one of a kind corvette. I do clean my vette all the time though lol that’s what my neighbors think of me when they see me

Hi Jason great video. I drive my Corvette every day except December to February because winter. I drive to shows and go on trips to Le Mans or Austria and many more. I love to drive the Vette is so much fun. Wave from Germany.

C8Z owner....first Corvette. I'm a Cars & Coffee guy, that will drive it with my wife to the grocery store, or 400 miles to Monterey to watch the Indy races at Laguna Seca as a guest of Mario Andretti. I attended Ron Fellows, and will taking my own Z on the track very soon. Take my 2yo grandkids for rides in it.......literally a switch army knife vehicle for our family to enjoy.

I am on my 10 thru 12 Corvette. I love driving them and going to car shows with friends but mostly to drive them.

1 and 2 for us. C3 is more for the shows. C7 is for cruising! Wish we had more time to drive. Iowa winters wont allow it. But we do average around 7000 miles a year! Keep up the great video's!

I actually bought my c6 with the intent to join a club, i knew which club i was joining before I bought my vette Special Edition Corvette club Dallas Texas.

My husband and I drive our cars. We belong to a club and travel with them, we do charity fundraisers and enjoy the life.

Just got my 2022 few months ago, not sure which one I am, just like joy riding it around for now.

I use my C8 HTC for daily driving, go to car shows, & track it. My C6 Vette Convertible had 91k miles on it before I sold it. I want to enjoy my rides.

Both #1 and #2. I keep my C7 M7 in pristine condition, but she’s no garage queen with 35k miles. Last front engine, long hood rear wheel Corvette. Gorgeous styling, a keeper!

Definitely in group 2 , as a retired military… it’s what I can afford during the summer in our Red 1986 C4 Convertible , just hit the back roads and curves heading for a coffee, ice cream or coney dog…. Btw in Illinois the back roads are in better shape then the hiways…

I'm a blend of category 2 & 3. Drive it for to work and enjoy it on the back roads, but don't put too many miles on it. Had it since 4/2021 and 9500 miles on it.

#3 myself, never really a corvette fan but the c8 platform rwd/mid engine for the price was a no brainer.its now 1 out off 3 summer drivers and i do track it and mod it.

Im all 3 (1,2 and part of 3). No plans on trading it in... its a daily driving unless it snows more than half an inch. Otherwise, rain or shine, im driving it. I do cruises and car meets. Fantastic and multi- faceted car!

I’m 1&2, but try my best to avoid driving anytime in rain and garage it once the Snow comes to PA and keep it there until the anti skid and little stones PENN DOT puts down are cleaned off the roads in the Spring. 🥴 I’m 69 and in poor health so I can’t detail a car like I used to. 😂

I'm in the fourth group. I spend time waiting for failed transmissions to be replaced at my dealership.

Mostly Group 2. I love the Corvette community, the car just brings people together. I enjoy going to shows sponsored by my Corvette Club (and other clubs) but I often mark my car as "Do Not Judge". It's a pretty much stock C8 Z51 Coupe which I take good care of but it is not and never will be a garage queen, I bought it to drive it. Leave the trophies to the folks who go all out keeping their car mint. I appreciate what they do but that's not me. The Corvette community is amazing, you gotta love them all !

C7 are the best corvettes

I drive my Corvette very hard. I live in the mountains of northern California. I feel it's a track car and I enjoy pushing it's limits. I think if you own a sportscar you should use it as it was designed for. I have my third set of tires under the house waiting to be put on. My 2021 C8Z51 will not be saved for the next guy. Life is to short . Just turned 30k enjoying every mile. Tom

I’m definitely 1-2 I would drive it more if I wasn’t in my work truck 5 days a week. At 40’yr old bought my first Vette. 2015 Z06 44,yr old 2019 ZR1 47 yr old 2021 C8 pro charged 49 2023 C8Z06 Unfortunately I only can keep one at a time.

I’m a blend of 2 and 3 I like the car shows but I’m going to drive the wheels off of it. When I had my 2005 I hardly drove it, kept it immaculate. Sold it for a good price but really miss it. When I purchase my 2019 GS it will be on the road all of the time.

I purchased my 2019 Grand Sport for the track. Everything else is gravy. Every mod is to take tenths off lap time.

Hello to everyone, when I watch these videos, I kind of wish that I lived in Texas. You guys do a lot more with your cars than they seem to do here in Florida unless I’m not quite in the circle, that being said , to answer your question , I am definitely in that number one category, with a little bit of category, number two when it comes to Things that I do with my 2019 Grandsport which only has 4800 miles on it ! PS. It’s a beautiful car !

I currently have 137k miles on my C7 grand sport. Every time I go out for a drive, I hit over 100mph. Mostly mountain driving. No stupid car meets with other corvette owners who will never drive the car for what it is designed for. You guys are an embarrassment to Corvettes. Only bought corvettes for show. Not a real driver. Especially the nursing home smelly old guys.
