the difference in the original wd and the 53 wd is the 53 WD used the same transmission as the wd45 and was fully synchronized. there were 6 SHTAs made one with a fast hitch system one is rumored to be a with a 35hp continental diesel. i was a IHC mechanic in 75 and found the books on these. on my farm dad had a 51 transition H it had a larger bore and a high compression head and piston setup it put out 31hp on a M&W 400 dyno. it had just enough hp to handle a 9 ft wheel disk in 3rd gear. or 3-12 plowin 2nd but it liked 2-16 /w high speed mowboards in 3rd.better
been to your place several years ago during Spoon River Scenic Drive. I've got a 1954 AC WD 45 with a propane conversion done in the 1960's. She still runs good, but would like to go through and rebuild and repaint sometime. But I have been saying that since I got it over 20 years ago. Wonderful experience, watching these updated or non existing models. I grew up around these tractors, I sold my Farmall M last year an all original tractor. Oh. ..you need a wind sock on that microphone. Thanks for displaying this video. Great job!
Nothing sounds as good as those old Farmalls to me. I grew up around a Super W6 and in later life I kept a well used old Super M and an even harder used Super W6 on the farm just so I could fire them up for the odd small job where I could hear them bark a bit. Great old tractors that were totally dependable to start no matter the weather.
moron, get off your stupid cell phone and get a life. if you knew anything about how your food gets on your table you would have learned quite a bit here. fuggn yuppy
