I bought a Bulgaria (from watchfinder as it happened) years ago but when I wanted to trade up I struggled to sell it. In fact watchfinder wouldn't take it back from me, I'm not complaining but I learned a valuable lesson, these less known watch brands are harder to sell.

Of all the watch Video Blogs, Watchfinder has the best English. Well spoken, well articulated and it sounds like poetry...! This guy swings his words into sentences and the sentences become literature. A fresh breath of air among all these horror channels showing watches and talking barely understandable English.... On top of that, wonderful content as well. One point of critique (if I may) .....get rid of that camera. Doesn't add anything to the channel. It will be a trademark, but as always, you can change the template in something more interesting to look at. Cheers.

Henry Kincaid The SKX is iconic. Its an excellent first automatic watch for many. Wth this watch u will grow into the hobby of collecting mechanical/automatic watches. U will learn to care for a mechanical watch before u move on to more expensive models. Pop the SKX on a NATO strap and have fun! Slow and steady is the key. Keep learning on the way.

Sorry if I dissapoint but I have heard of all of them, the Octo with the new thin models from this year's Basel will most likely be much more recognizable. Parmigiani despite being an engineering masterpiece leaves me cold, like many watchmakers watchmaker, they struggle to make an identity when it comes to sports watches, and the HW is just stunning, every model they made in the series was mind blowing, the only problem is I most likely won't be able to afford any of them 😄

The Octo line one of the most important things has happened to the in the last years... it's a jewelry brand pushing the watch industry forward. As is the Opus collection. Btw, since you mentioned the new models, I must say that the carbon minute repeater is to die for.

Glad to see Parmigiani Fleurier in your videos, a not well recognized haute horlogerie brand with extremely well made watches. The Bulgari octo is definitely a gorgeous watch, one can delight his eyes not only with the movement, also, the superb and elaborated case and bracelet. Not sure about Harry Winston, the macro zoom can´t help it so much. Wish that Vacheron were more often in your channel, I love that brand and, quite possibly, is my favorite. Continue with your noble work, sir. Here is someone who greatly appreciates it.

The Harry Winston is a bucket load more than a submariner or Panerai , obviously a much better watch but for someone looking at a Panerai it's probably to expensive

I am privileged to own 2 Octos, a SS watch/Band with the Blue dial and it is stunning to behold. The second is the ultra thin Titanium. It is like wearing paper. These watches are second to none. Brilliant. I bought my wife a HW in gold but never know about the Opus range, so thank you for that as I may now seek them out.

Why would anyone wanna wear paper? If you buy an expensive watch it's nice to feel that it's there. That's why precious metals are all very dense. The Bvlgari watches are pointless and feminine.

A lifelong resident of Rome told me that the jewelry house of Bulgari is pronounced BUL-ga-ri, rather than Bul-GA-ri. Anyway thanks for your great videos, my favorite among the RU-vid watch commentators.

The „confusing u“ derives from the classical latin alphabet and has nothing to do with greek, despite the founders heritage...

it is a proper Greek last name but the translation, transfer is quite misleading, I have a distance relation..The founder is Sotirios Voulgaris - the ending "s" in Greek last names denotes the sex, a man and not a woman. In Greek the name is written with a "B" but the letter "B" in Greek sounds called like the "V", The "ou" sounds like the "u" in English. So "u" in Bulgari should be called as the "u" in the word Bulgaria for example. Probably the Vulgari could give a more correct sound of the name.

Bvlgari bought Gerald Genta & Daniel Roth if not wrong... then, Bvlgari gave their watches rebirth by new designs with shadows of Gerald Genta & Daniel Roth watches... Anyone disagreed is fine, just my own observation since year 2000

The one I did not know is the Harry Winston . Thanks for the introduction, seems like pieces worth consideration. For the other brands: In pictures and videos the Octo is a killler. But I tried the Finissimo Ultra-Thin Automatique and was impressed for the feeling (it is almost like not having a watch on your wrist) but the looks were not that good. Parmigiani have a finesse to it that is right on the top.

Thank you for another great video! I'm sure that most viewers have at least heard of these watchmaker brands although I personally doubt that this is the point here. I believe that, sadly, many buyers choose the most "well-known", "established" brands when deciding to put their money down thinking mostly about re-sale value and "prestige factor" rather than satisfying their own aesthetics and being true to themselves.

Idk how I feel about that Harry Winston watch, I absolutely love the face and the idea of the hinging lugs but that bracelet is hideous, and I hate the faux pushers, reminds me of bootleg watches that have them for 'style' points. The Bvlgari watch surprised me on how well it looks on the wrist, I used to work next door to a Bvlgari when I was at Tiffany and would occasionally pop in to see whats what and while intriguing I thought it would look silly on the wrist, how wrong was I. lovely video, thank you very much!

Another great video, Thank you. A day in Antwerp gave me a great opportunity to look at other brands than what you also mentioned, i took a look at a Girard Perregaux, steel case and gold bezel with chronograph function. It is called the GP 4700, very traditional and with it's 40 mm a perfect dresswatch for me. I still love the brand, especially the new line of 39mm Laureato chronograph, finaly a size that is almost perfect for every day use. Looks like a Genta design aswell.

Actually Gerald Genta made the OCTO for his own company Gerald Genta then Bvlgari boght the company and start to make the Octo and the Gefica with his name. Same thing happened with Daniel Roth.

Unless this is some joke I'm not in on, the non-functional pushers either side of the crown on the Harry Winston just trash the watch for me. I cannot fathom why they would do that. For someone to be interested enough in the watch to ask "what function do those pushers perform?" and to have to give the answer "Nothing." is ridiculous. What an utterly stupid design decision. I hate it!

Odd Parmigiani messed us so bad with that sports watch. The design of the dial/sub-dials, bezel and case are all horrible. How can the makers of such undoubtedly fine movements get the aesthetics so wrong?

I have asked for a Parmigiani Fleurier review in one of my comments here on the channel, and it is true, tha Bugatti watch Parmigiani makes is crazy special. Please, whilst pronouncing "Bvlgari", put the stress the "V" not the "I". However, that Bubble watch you reviewed, that was spectacularly special on every angle. Great vid nevertheless. Cheers.

Could you review the Orient Ray II, its a wonder for the price range. Beautiful in appearance, in-house movement, hacking, hand winding, 200m water resistance, a subsidiary of Seiko, and a widely unknown but extensive heritage. Guess how much it is then have a look for yourself, you'll be amazed.

honestly..they have no resale value. They will depreciate at an alarming rate.I d rather have a patek calatrava for. 10000 then any of these...BTW..THANKS FOR THE AMAZOING VIDEOS U DO. I LOVE THEM!!!
