3-Way Review: Shure KSE1500 vs. SE846 vs. Sennheiser IE800 (Pt. 1) 

Got the Se846 and have had them since the day they came out. Use them for the gym from my phone! Lightweight, long cord, has its own volume controller, clinches well to my head and stays put in my ear while blocking all ambient noise. Couldn't be happier. No need to walk around with a large amp. Cellphone costs 1000, in ear buds at 1k are not outrageous. 3500 is another story. No matter how great the kse buds are, I won't be switching. Great review. Thanks

here i am using stock Samsung earbud that my smartphone came with. what would be a good earbud by Shure that suit for beginner like me? . I like listening to music so I was interested investing one with good quality sound.

I'm curious but some what upset reading the comment section; as a huge Shure fanboy, please dont buy the SE846 for listening to music from your phone... 0_o The bottleneck is to god damn high for that price...

The idea of headphones with extended frequency response isn't it so you can listen at those frequencies because as you said we cannot hear below 20hz or above 20khz The idea behind extended frequencie responses in headphones is to extend the signal to get it to signal as flat and neutral as possible the faster the motor the more precise and accurate the sound in between the changing frequencies To dumb it down the faster the driver the more information can be interpreted in the signal/bandwidth which equals better separation and a cleaner over all image in the sound being produced.

I see Shure has changed the packaging for the 846. Mine didn't come with a pelican case and my cable is a silver white colour not black. Good review and I agree, SE 846 IEM are excellent!! :)

IMO, what makes sennheiser so respectable is that they make a high end iem (ie800) using A SINGLE DYNAMIC DRIVER that is comparable to some earphones which are using pricier driver (BA,KSE)

Hello there! I have questions and don't know which I should get for this holiday season, the SE525 or the SE846. Please help me out here! Do the quality of the music that I listen to effect by these earphones? I listen to all kind of genres of music including in different language such as English, Chinese, and Vietnamese. I just normally download music from MP3 or RU-vid websites to my Galaxy S7 and the audio quality usually okay, not FLACs or anything like that. Can an average audio quality give the SE846 great audio quality or it must be in FLAC, and justify that price tag? If the SE846 must be play in great audio quality source, then it's very hard for me to find good audio quality music in other language beside English and may as well I'll settle for the SE525, since it's hard to tell the difference with average audio quality go into these two. Any thoughts and advices would be appreciate! Thank you everyone!
