3 Ways to Break Better (Break-Rak)

Most people who want to get the pop break down focus on the power needed for the shot. after watching players like Alex Pagulayan, Chris Reinhold, and Jeffrey The Bull DeLuna break the balls phenomenally, I gathered you done have to be the biggest or strongest person in the room to break the balls well. it all comes down to technique.
on my journey I and probably you to have broken like this. Cueballs flying all over the place with inconsistencies and zero control. what if I told you this was all because of 3 problems with your technique?
before I reveal these pool life changing tips, please make sure to please hit the follow button to stay updated on future giveaways, livestreams, and lessons.
Tip 1: Your final stroke before it reaches your hand must be slow. This will keep your stroke calm as it follows through the ball.
Tip 2. I want you to drop your elbow. This ensures a complete follow-through of the stroke, giving the cueball as much velocity as possible with minimal effort.
tip 3: Keep a loose Grip from start to finish. This is difficult because of our natural reaction to grip the cue upon impact. DONT! Keep that grip loose as if someone could slip the cue stick right from your hand.
Try these out 3 tools in your next practice session and watch your break accuracy, control, and wins go through the roof.

I seen others mention that it is harder to do the pop break with a low deflection break cue like the Predator, and I find it true. It isn't driving the cue ball in to the slate as much. I have to purposely drive down on the cue ball to get the pop.

True some Cues are more challenging for the pop break. But technique matters above all. Imo

Love the editing and your ability to explain. I'm expecting this channel to grow alot. I would change the thumbnail, though! Good luck.

Great video and instruction. Clear and concise and great graphics. A couple side notes, I love my JFlowers breaker it is the bomb. Flower Power. Could you do a video on making the object balls that are frozen to the rail as they are my nemesis.

Most useful thing I heard was from Grady Mathews. You pretend the cue balls not even there, and try to drive the tip of the cue through the 1 ball. Lends itself to a good follow through.

Great video. I'm having and issue of miscuing. I zoomed in on your video and noticed the cue either comes close to or actually rubs the table on your stroke. On one of my breaks that i miscued it made rub mark on my cue from rubbing the table. Do you have rub marks on your table from breaking? My isssue of miscues on the break have me taking a lot off my break and the quality of my break has suffered. Do you think im dropping my elbow too much or not standing straight up enough making it severely rub the table coming through? Appreciate any advice you can offer.

Hard to tell without seeing video of your break. But I'd suggest you slow down. There are so many moving parts to a good bream. Focus on mastering one at a time. Aim, smooth back swing, following through at desired point of contact, elbow drop, rising the body (if required). Pick one of these to DRILL into your head and make it perfect (for your standard) then move onto the next. Hope this helps. #KeepTryingHard

@@ThePoolTryHard sounds good. I definitely have to work on smooth back swing.

Are you still using the jflowers break cue? Is it your favorite break cue? How does it compare to the Predator BK Rush?

Yes and yes. This hits like a tank, has a great sound to it and the leather grip feels good. Plus it's affordable!

Didn't mention at all where to hit on the cue ball or at what angle? Probably the most important information...

Agreed. But this wasn't a complete how to break perfect video. Just 3 tips I wished someone told "Me" when I was learning. For sure, these aren't the ONLY things to do. Stance, aim, flicking/flexing, eye contact etc play a huge role in the break.

I’m thinking center or slightly below center as you don’t want it going forward or too far back. A random other ball hit and moving the cue ball is just that -random

@@ThePoolTryHard yeah he just breaks super well same with Shane and Mike Dechaine but I still personally think DeLuna and Pagulayan take the crown. Also 45 mph is freaking awesome! Highest I ever got was 17 lol
