This was great, I been tryin to find out about "saving a relationship long distance" for a while now, and I think this has helped. For all people who says LDR doesn’t work i can tell ur so wrong ... 6 years ago i fell in love with a guy and he was in different country and we hadn’t any hope to meet because of the war in Syria it was really hard because we were so in love even though we knew this relationship is doomed... we kept trying to make this relationship works and we kept being patient about it until we met after 6 years and he proposed and i said yes 😍 it wasn’t easy but it totally worth it ❤️❤️❤️

We never surprise each other in a negative way. We keep our conversations light and fun and we talk about serious things when we both have time to focus on... It sucks when someone's having a bad day and keep texting you while you're out having fun.

Currently in LDR. We’ve done #3 (virtual sex experience) via texts, phone, and video chats. I was a little shy about it in the beginning, but he helped me loosen up and feel comfortable with it. Thanks to these experiences, when we actually met up, the sex was pretty incredible. We knew what we liked and were willing to try things we talked about.

I agree with the 3 ways, another is seducing your partner thru text in a most inappropriate time like at the middle of a meeting or interrupting him from his work so he can take a short break from it!!! This is very effective I should say since your partner can't anything but making him crazy over you!! LOL It was fun!! He can't wait till you see each other again knowing there's something exciting ahead of you both!

My partner and I are super responsible, prone to anxiety kind of people so that would never work for us. What works for us is if the meeting was a successful one, if the work is accomplished and no need to worry about then we can get into the mood and let it go...

In LDR, we communicate a lot over the phone, text messages, we use a lot of emojis and pictures. We like to send pictures of what we are doing. My other relationships communication lacked, but even though we are LDR our communication is heighten, and we when we get together we feel so comfortable and we understand because communicate in different ways. I think when you really miss someone in LDR you really should express yourself and tell them that you are thinking about them, that’s so important.

My boyfriend only lives a little over an hour away but it still makes a difference with us not being able to see each other as much. I don't drive so it makes it harder. We went from texting all the time to it being a little more sporadic because work gets really busy around certain times and things like that for him and I'm a mother of two children one being autistic so I definitely know what busy is. The adjustment from talking all the time to being a little more sporadic with our messages and stuff puts me in my head a little bit do you have any tips for me that I can do to kind of keep the spark going letting him know that I'm there but not overdoing it

Dropping notes throughout the day and FaceTime at night is a perfect way to feel closer than you are. Always plan meetings on weekends so he doesn’t get too used to having his freedom! 😂

Just reached 6 months in my ldr & we plan on meeting next winter. I’m in the US & he lives over 2,000 miles away in Canada. This is my first ever relationship so I’ve never been happier. I love that I don’t have to hold back how needy/clingy I am & I can blow up his phone when he hasn’t responded for a while & he doesn’t get creeped out he just finds it cute & sweet. We are very open & honest about what we want & how we feel & call me crazy but I’m very optimistic about this... I definitely see this leading to marriage in the future ❤️

My ldr partner broke up with me because our chatting felt routine like, and it pains me because usually we talked about our problems, but this came out of the blue and I didn't even get a chance to try figure something out. I have a strong, faithful feeling, that this is just a break from each other to strenghten ourself, and I want to keep having faith in us. Sadly, we can't do most things from the video as #1 I don't have mobile data as my parents are still managing my phone and cuz Corona and time zones and #3 because I'll be 18 soon and they will just be turning 15 and of course that feels wrong, so I'll wait till we're both adults.....if we'll be back together by then. Thanks tho, I am writing these all up, gotta be prepared and try finding tips if we get back together

Thank you I needed this..He just got a job and he had to relocate to Texas I'm in Florida.. His job requires him to travel all the time so we rarely get to talk or see one another, but when we do our relationship gets better and better. Maybe absence really does make the heart grow fonder. I agree with your points and I also like to add 'quality time talk' on top of that. My partner and I are in long distance since the beginning and we text each other every morning, give few details about our days, say little cute things meanwhile and we let each other know when we will be home and we talk before bed time. Every day when we get a chance, even if it's for a few minutes we do this routine. It keeps the bounding stronger, almost like we train each other to be closer as if we were in the same place at the same time every day.

Gratitude & Life im also to in a ldr and how i keep it together is that i kind of like stay busy and when i do think about him i go to pinterest and pick out cute little cards or something in that nature.so then that way it wont be so hard on me..my ldr has been deployed to syria and hopefully he comes back to the states in 3 more weeks..i cannot wait to meet him..he sends me pictures and stuff but what i also do is a google search image on them to see if they are fake or is it a scammer. so far so good he's not a scammer.

Same, 2 months, 6h jet lag, which, I agree, makes it even further, Not easy, I ended my last relationship because of the distance, 2 years. So, I dont like it, we get cold. Its a fact in my case, I get cold in 1 month distanced. the only way is to see you regularly, at least 1 per month. and make it worth it then. if not, it wont last...im on it, trying!

Any thoughts on the Man i met online in a dating app, will come visit me this coming May first.. but originally he met another woman he talked to for months but then the woman stopped talking to him, and then i came in the picture where he met me and now plan to visit me?. It felt like im an option. Im currently in a LDR (4months in).. We live 5hrs away from each other LV and LA.. We do our very best to see each other every month.. The most difficult part for me is that i have 3 beautiful kids with 2 different woman and shes never had kids.. This presents new challenges especially for her, shes never been away from her family and i cannot move to LA because i have my kids, i hate that she has to sacrifice everything if we want to live together eventually... I feel so guilty because i need to know if she sees and wants a future with a man that has 3 kids with 2 exwifes... April Dimalanta, if you've never met before, please be careful he could be a scammer. They usually pretend to be in the US army! Never ever transfer any money to someone you've never met in reality. They pretend to have no cash since all money is invested in diamonds or other things and then they ask you to lend them money for the ticket to visit you and the result is, the money is gone and the guy. Sorry, I just had the wish to send this warning. All the best! 😘

Mireille Claire thank you so much. I appreciate it. He's a legit army. We've been talking everyday 3 hours a day. I knew there is a scammers but I make sure that I will check the area code before I entertain the person.Most scammers are from Nigeria. He's legit and I trust him. Thank you tho.

Lisa Marie, if he's a scammer and the photos are any pics, stolen from the internet, the money will be gone forever. Just put the word "scammer" or "scam" on Google and you'll find hundreds of poor victims that tell you their story.

Yeah 😁😁 I went to beach as he never seen one and it's close to me. So I took him to beach yeah ofcourse through video call😉 we had really really good time it was sooo good to see him excited seeing the beaches. ❤️ And yeah seeing a sun is really hard fa him but fa me sun is roasting me 😂 so I used to make videos and video calls during sunrise and sunset. But you know the sweetest thing above all is he'll say "baby it's enough seeing them lemme see you" 😘

We spend together for 1year but unfortunately she got job in chennai and our relationship tuned into LDR.. Its hard for me because i need her care and love(s*x) also want to hold her hands and sleep together. In between we fight and get angry but she usally forgives me. We also do videos call and talk dirty sonetimes. And at last we sleep together speaking in phone.
