Was the tractor swept away also? Just wondering if it flipped him over into the water or he just got curious. Doesn't really matter I guess, either way, he should never have been left unattended.

That is what people always say when someone is injured or disappears because of neglect. “I turn my back for just a minute, and he was gone”, or “One minute he was there, and the next he was gone” are just a couple examples of what people that neglected their kids say. When in reality it was several minutes, sometimes as much as 5-10 minutes. I saw a video where they staged a kid disappearing, I believe it was a baby sitter or a person asked to watch the kid while the parent did something. Another person came up the them and distracted them with a question and while they weren’t paying attention the kid walked away and hid. When the parent got back, they asked what happened and how could they not know what happened to the kid. And every one of them said they only took their eyes off of the kid for a “second” or a “minute”. When the person was finally let in on the fact that it was all staged and they watched the video, it turned out that most of them were distracted for 5 minutes or more. I wish I could remember who made that video, I think it was a NBC news program but I am not 100% sure. We all lose track of time when we get distracted, but when you are responsible for the life of a child you cannot let that happen.

Not true, ppl suffer immensely in comas, some hear everything and can’4 respond, others are in 3xtreme pain and can’t communicate it

@@larsonfamilyhouseyou are wrong, most people that are in a coma, either medically induced or from trauma do not feel any pain at all. It depends on how severe the coma is. Some people in comas are aware of their surroundings and so feel pain. Those patients are said to be in a “minimally conscious state” or “MCS”. Those that are in a “persistent vegetative state”, or “PVS” do not feel any pain or respond to any outside stimulus. Researchers have done brain scans on people with both MCS and PVS and found that those in MCS show the same results as a person that is completely conscious and is experiencing pain. Those that are in PVS, or a medically induced coma, do not show the same brain patterns as someone in pain does. The whole point of a medically induced coma is to allow the patient to rest and not be in pain.

A post I saw said they "spent over an hour trying to revive him."

He was underwater for several minutes if he was found a mile downstream, probably close to 10 minutes. Basically, he died and they were able to revive his heart. The problem is that his brain didn’t get any oxygen for a long time and there is most definitely brain damage. I saw a report that said he does respond to touch, but that doesn’t mean anything. If he does survive, he will be in a vegetative state the rest of his life. The only time you see good recovery is when it is very cold, or the water is very cold. The cold slows down the need for oxygen for the brain resulting in less brain damage.

I was working and could not listen to it closely but he was talking about culverts and said something about he kept sending people further down stream culvert by culvert and he was found close to or at the 4th culvert from the tractor location approx one mile from the tractor. I forget his exact words but what stuck out to me was approx 25 minutes to find him, 4 culverts and one mile from the tractor. So many people are saying this mom turned away for a "split second" or just a "moment." First off, how far from the house is this creek or river as some are calling it? Those power wheel tractors do not go THAT fast. I have seen photos of him on a power wheel tractor with a trailer on it. Was this trailer on this tractor that day? Possibly making it go slower? Mom or family friend one said he wanted to ride his tractor so mom got it set up for him and went inside for a "moment" to check on their baby. She looked out the window and did not see him. She got on their ranger and went looking for him and found his tractor turned over in the creek. My question is, she left the 3 year old boy in the yard by himself to go check on their baby because "he usually stays close by" well, while she was frantically looking for this little boy, who was looking after the baby she left to check on leaving the 3 year old alone leading to this tragedy? I am sorry, this was longer than a "split second" or a "moment." From house to creek/river, how ever far that was, one mile away from tractor down stream was only a "split second" or a "moment/" THEN it took them 25 minutes to find him once on the scene.. This little boy, if he survives, will take a miracle to be a healthy functioning child. When my children were little and now with my grandbabies, they did/do not go outside until I was/am finished with what I was doing inside and could go with them.... and we had a cyclone fenced yard. A 3 year old alone in the yard that must have not been fenced? Seriously? and apparently close to a body of water? Mom said in a post thanking people who helped find him and working for an hour to revive him that the water was up to her chest. Lord have mercy, this poor child. Even with drowning?? he was, from the way I understood the interview I saw, going in and out of culverts for a mile. I imagine he has injuries from that as well... My mind says, if he survives, he was without oxygen for A LOT longer than he should have been and he will be in poor physical shape but my soul says PLEASE GOD NO... Sadly, no matter how this ends up, that mother will have to deal with this for the rest of her life. Imagine the Post Trauma of even seeing that creek/river, a hot wheels tractor, heck, even riding in their ranger in the future. Never ever turn your back on your children people.... My thoughts, they said they cross the creek with their ranger going to, I believe it is her parents adjoining property, all the time and this little boy with his 3 year old mind thought he could take his tractor across that creek as well. Not sure but that is what I am assuming happened.

It happened in a split second. Instead of judging them, why not pray for the Lord's healing upon their child.

She says "they don't know how long he was in the water and he was found a mile away." That seems to mean the parents have no idea how long he was left unsupervised. Two minutes? twenty minutes? an hour? or more? It only takes a second for an accident to occur. So sad.

It reminds me of the parents who let their kid play in the storm waters and drowned. The first thing the parents do is ask for money . Why are they so quick to jump on that bandwagon? Medical care, even of you have insurance is expensive. You can warn people of dangers, but they accuse you of being overprotective--until.Some thing like this, which was totally preventable, happens.
