I was going to buy the Makita 12" version of this but ended up going with the Dewalt DWS780 and love it. It is heavy but I don't use it as a mobile saw, I use the Dewalt 7 1/2" cordless for that. The Makita looks great though and the forward rail system is a winner if you work in tight spaces.
I just got the 12" 36v Makita miter a month ago and I absolutely love it. It is huge like you said lol 69lbs I did a lot of homework before I bought this saw and it would seem it's one of the best miter saws on the market still 4 years later. I still have to get a stand for it I seen a video on the Makita compact stand for the 12" miter the guy cut off the little wheels and mounted nice 10" air filled tires. I like that the Makita can be placed up against a back wall without work for clearance. My Milwaukee needs a ton of room or it hits when I slide it back
