You don't. The knob set at maximum gives maximum current.

See that's why you need 4 pots because with only one pot you will never manage to keep the voltage perfect balanced on both rails

If you don't mind me saying your transistors should be on the outside and bolted on the heat sink as you will not get proper Tranmere of heat with the paint on the case!!

agree with you 100% or scrape off the paint on the box on both sides and put on cooling paste
