My grandfather has a model 94 in 32 special that he’s had for a long time. I’m 14 years old and shot my first deer with that gun. Nice to see it in a different setting. Nice video.
Nice! I'm 41 and I harvested my first deer with my dads 30/30 Winchester 94. What a great rifle. I still like taking it hunting and to the range from time to time! Keep hunting and practicing with all your firearms have fun, teach ppl and be safe young man. It's important that young ppl keep the tradition going! 👏👏👏🇺🇸❗
When I was 12, my father gave me his 1947 vintage .32 Winchester Special Model 94. I cherish that firearm and it is one of the best whitetail deer rigs ever produced.
Some good looking rifles. Hoping to see the 7mm-08 vs 308 in milk jugs. Seen the milk jugs and thought maybe today was the day. This was a good one. Love seeing the expanded bullots.
Glad I’m not a milk jug! I remember glass gallon jugs that got used and reused and milk straight from a buddy’s father’s family dairy. The guy was Dutch and still wore wooden shoes.
I’m a firm believer in always bringing a knife to a gunfight because, you never know. Just be sure to bring a gun and ammunition too, if you can lay hands on them!
Seems like the 45-70 was a bit more destructive to the jugs. The 30-30 is still a great round, I tend to like a big bullet as well. The 32 seems to be more of a niche round, not a bad round just not as popular today.
Agreed, 32WS is not as popular but offers 10% more energy at the muzzle -- a .30-30 on steroids, as this test shows. 32WS has a cult following. Harder to find, need to reload.
For those interested in the ivory hunters in Africa in the last century, there was a hunter named Wally Johnson who, in his 50 year career, killed over 100 lions with a lever-action 30-30.
All had nice expansion and went as far. I have been looking at getting a larger caliber lever gun than my 357 I have for fun and just in case but 30-30 for me wins. Not too many large game near me. Thanks for the fun video.
Both the 30/30 and 45/70 been good to me and my family. This are really fun videos and WTW done a bunch of different calibers. I need a 32 to finish my Marlin lever gun series, use the 35 Rem more then any of them. Thanks again WTW. 👍🎥🥇🇺🇸
Just goes to show these rifles may not have impressive numbers on paper when compared to other calibers, but the penetration these bullets got and the expansion was impressive.
A lot of people underestimate the round nosed bullets, they have great weight retention, great expansion, and great penetration. Plain and simple they just work
Watching your videos brings back wonderful memories as kid hunting outta Sandpoint, Idaho with my Grandpa's Winchester 1894 .30 WCF with a Williams peep
Beautiful lever action guns! Very nice indeed! I was amazed that you caught all of them. One question tho? Where were your Crocs??? lol Great video WTW!
i have a 32 and a 30wcf, both model 94 winchesters. never been able to shoot the 32 because i dont have any ammo for it, and 32 ammo doesnt exist anywhere near me. if i ever get desperate enough, i could make some out of 30-30 brass. (but i dont see that happening)
Your channel could be nothing but these milk jug videos and the clay block videos and I'd still be a huge fan! They're always a lot of fun to watch. Happy New Year to you and yours from down here in Atlanta!
I own a 32 Winchester Special, mid-1930's vintage, that my father purchased new. It's in very good condition. I gave up shooting it, it kicks more than my 308 Savage. This old neck can't take the recoil from that 32 WS any more. Thanks for the review, it's nice to see that those old cartigies could get the job done when they were developed and now.
The 32 special was the black powder answer to the “New!” Smokeless powder. A lot of people didn’t trust the new smokeless powder. They clung to the black powder and the 32 was their answer. They changed the caliber albeit slightly so people wouldn’t compare them against each other. However, they were about as close as they could be. They were even loaded so very closely so that people could see the positive and cleaner attractions of the new powder. Quite a feat of marketing if You ask me!
@@jeffstevens156 Both were factory smokeless rounds, the bigger .32 bore was better for being reloaded with black powder, which is all most hand loaders of that time had.
Great video, I love my lever action rifle's. Have you seen the new 1895 SBL, it's awesome. Way better then they were from Remington. I said from the beginning that Ruger would bring them back greater then ever. The one I saw today on Wolf's Prairie outdoors, fiber optic front sight and threaded barrel. The only thing he didn't like that the trigger, but you can get replacement trigger's from Ranger Point precision and Wild West Guns. It's going to be a great bing bang. Have you ever tried a Winchester 50-110, it's 67% more powerful. You can watch them on Lever Guns 50, his hand load's get between 5,500 and 6,440 ftlbs of energy. It will takedown anything on the planet and other planet's. ( Lol ). Checkout both channel's, great content. Have a great night WTW and family! Also how is Paul doing? I just lost a good friend the Coronavirus and he was fully vaccinated.
As much as the scalpers making the damn guns make on these nostalgic piles of crud you’d think that they could put a damned decent trigger in the crappy rifles but no lets charge a premium price for a shitty product. Said every gun manufacturer ever
Thank you for putting forth your efforts and sharing your work. I like seeing the results of your testing. I shoot a Winchester Trapper 94 in 30-30. It has never let me down. All my shots are under 100 yards.
Nice mushroom collection you made! Lol Head to head! Some many say that the 350 legend is the new 30-30. I would love to see a series of test from clay to jugs and cement blocks where only these to fight it out. Who would you put your money on?
Love your videos. Especially the milk jugs and paper plates. Those are the videos that made me first fall in love with your channel. After watching this video I had an idea for you. Try 5 gallon water jugs if you can find them cheep enough. Keep the great videos coming 😎
Thanks for keeping your videos on topic with minimal to no political/mud slinging toward other tubers. Most of us just want to see general gun reviews and even if your take is different from someone else's its ok, because that can often allow for someone to consider something they never thought of before making a purchase. You simply give people some general info of the gun and what they can expect.
Another stellar video Adam! Please remind my PTSD'd noodle but haven't we recently seen several 'high velocity' modern cartridges penetrate fewer milk jugs? It seems the rifles from the 1800s had plenty of buggity-buggity...
Ill tell you what ! It just don’t get no better than that for simplicity and Excitement and luck catching all three ! That Winchester 94 screams cowboy but I know that that Marlon is butter smooth !! Good to hear Wild Man out n about
Another nice video! Fun to watch. Not so sure what to think about the big loop on the lever of the 32. Those are indeed fine guns. I really should add a lever action gun to my collection. Keep up the good videos! So very sorry about loosing your little buddy, I know that is tough! It has happened to me too many times. Hope you find another little friend.
I haven’t found a suitable 32 Special for fun collection, yes, fun collection. You’re making those old man noises, I make when I sit on the ground! That’s okay! As long as We can get back up. Thank You for the video!
Thanks bud, that was cool! The ol’ 30-30 still gettin her done, lol thought that 45-70 might have been more devastating than it was. All of them will get the job done, if you can afford to feed them.
I would say that all three are effective. I would've guessed that the.45-70 would have the same results as the .30-30 and .32. I figured that that the .30-30 and .32 would be very similar, but the .45-70 is a thumper too. Nice vid!
I’ve never seen a 30-30 like mine yet has a slightly longer barrel and is 20/10 condition and just haven’t seen anything that looks close to it . Beautiful rifle btw
