Everyone's favourite! 30:60:90 triangles are understood properly by very few students, I can almost guarantee you will learn something from this video if you are studying for the GRE or GMAT (or other exam this topic comes up in) and watch to the end. Triangle ratios come up occasionally in these tests but you can give yourself a big edge by understanding them!
I offer private GRE / GMAT tutoring online at a fixed rate of $140/hr. Please get in touch via the email below, or through my tutoring website: www.gretutorlondon.com/
Enquiries: philip@gretutorlondon.com
The GRE and GMAT are two of most used graduate exams for those seeking to study a Masters Degree or Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree. The Graduate Record Exam and Graduate Management Admissions Test have been taken for over 50 years and are taken by approximately 600,000 and 300,000 people worldwide annually, respectively. These exams are typically taken between the ages of 18-40, by those who have completed, or are about to complete, their Bachelors Degree.
Enquiries: philip@gretutorlondon.com If you’re now ready to get into your dream MBA program, my former student, Angel, is offering virtual private Admissions coaching. She was admitted into Harvard Business School, The Wharton School of Business, and Columbia Business School (accepted into every school she interviewed for) after graduating from UCLA with a degree in Communication. She also got 3 perfect scores on the GRE’s Analytical Writing Assessment (99th percentile).
Here is her link - linktr.ee/angel_accel - and you can reach her at angellinzhu@gmail.com with the subject line, “PHILIP SENT ME.”

Hi Philip I'm really not one to comment on social media but you really deserve a shoutout! My GMAT is in under 10 days and I haven't been able to dedicate the time to study as much as I hoped with a very hectic job! I was panicking about how far behind I am but your videos give me a reassuring sense of calmness and confidence. Thanks much!

Hey Phillip, I came across a similar question as the last one in one of the practice tests and instead of giving us an angle, it was given that CB is equal to the radius of the circle, I got that question wrong as I didnt know what to do. Thanks for your trick.

@ 13:39 example , maybe this is overthinking but I thought to use pythagorean theorem to find find line AC which will correspond with angel ABC then form an algebraic equation based on the values of the side we are given .i.e 90 degrees corresponds with 16 therefore ac can be found by forming an equation that "matches " the two . Totally different angles but they add up to 180 ?

Hey Phillip! In the question @6:31 if we write x√3=12 and then x√3=2√3 it gives x=2 which changes every side of the triangle. is there something wrong with this approach? please help..

For the "bring it all together question", I still do not understand how you know which side is the hypotenuse. If when looking at figures on the GRE you should know things may not be drawn to scale, how do you know whether the diameter with center O is either the hypotenuse or larger side?
@colleenmadden11
@colleenmadden11 3 года назад
is the angle opposite to the diameter with the center on it always the 90 degree angle?
@TheTestedTutor
@TheTestedTutor 3 года назад
Diameter must be longest side
@lonen3rd
@lonen3rd 2 года назад
@@colleenmadden11 probably too late but could help someone. The angle inscribed in a semi-circle is always a right angle. So in this case, angle ACB is by default 90°.
