I'm with you when it comes to the Bellator, an awesome ship that can be the center of a formation of three ISDs and a Secutor, making it much more flexible than an Executor which has to basically be deployed on its own due to fleet cap.
Hey, I've got a question about new ships, or particularly one ship, will there be Assertor class dreadnought in EAW TR? Because it is one of the best ships(my favourite for one) and it would get great in line with Bellator and Secutor
And The only mod that has Assertor is EAW Alliance, and visuals are not so great there so to speak(not insulting modders of course, Alliance is great too)😅
@@andrzejhinc6404 Eventually. We're planning on adding the Assertor and there's currently a model in the works, but it probably won't be for a while at least.
I felt the same way! I really enjoy seeing ships tied to factions other than the Empire and New Republic get an overhaul and specially since this is one of my favorite ships in the glaxay.
Wow...I’ve been playing the old 2005 battlefront 2 and seeing the Victory 2 Class Frigate remastered and brought back to life with such an amazing model is awesome!
Amazing! I really enjoyed seeing the Bulwark Mk1-2-3 get a redesign! The size and accuracy of the shield-to-hull ratio compared to the other ships on this list are spot-on with my experience of the Star Wars universe. They truly were monsters is space!
I love all these ships! My computer died and haven’t been able to fly any lately. Makes me wish I had them as miniatures for Star Wars Armada though. Keep up the great work!
I honestly loved the smooth, kinda inscrutable aesthetic of the old chaff and ascendancy soo much, seemed to fit with chiss design philosophy better imo. these new ones are pretty ships for sure, but they look far more... normal I guess. Syndic destroyer I'm not a fan of, but I wasn't a huge fan of the prior design either. The bulwarks though are so good now, love that change.
I think my favourite has to be either the Ascendancy or the Chaf - I also helps that I enjoy using them. This may be my imagination, but compared to other ships of a similar size such as the Victory, Venator and other things around 15 capacity, I feel like the Chaf is better at 'punching up' so-to-speak.
I've just started getting back into FOC and the modding community, and man, I've missed a lot! The vengeance looks absolutely beautiful, I do feel like the main haul is a little to grey, as it is referred to in books as "a black dagger." that doesn't really matter has it looks amazing.
it's amazing that people still play empire at war... i'm currently playing the Eriadu Authority Faction. also i didn't realize how big of an update Thrawn's revenge got so i really think i should start sending money so they can further develop the mod, i absolutely love this mod and i originally played back when i first got the game, and about 10 years later i decided to rebuy it on steam and found the mod and started playing.

Every single one of these Starships looks INCREDIBLY AWESOME, but both Super Star Destroyers are my MOST DEFINITE favorites!!!!!
I miss the rear wing of the chaff, and the protruding engine pods of the first 2 bulwarks. Also the entire design of the syndic/phalanx. I equally love both versions of the kynigos. I adore the new vengeance, and all the new small EotH ships, and the IPV went from a bland bulb to one of the snazziest ships in the mod. The new vindicator line alone made me start a Pentastar play through.
Looking at this and mine, how do you make them look better? I got my graphics set to high but they still look pixelated and not really detailed. Pls elp.
These ships are so sexy... Makes me want to serve with the Empire haha. Change of mind: the Chiss fleet is orgasmic. Every time I see the Keldabe battleship, I think: FreeSpace 2
It does have a nice new look. Playing the Empire I have noticed several bugs. Retreat bug, Also ship battles are weak almost raid like. With some battles not even worth responding too. For a 1300 Station. The AI will send 3 nebula B with 4 light corvettes. The only AI script 100% working is Greater Maldrod.
Seeing that Bothan cruiser... really makes me wish the team would make a Halo mod. LOL. Farseer has returned to his though so hopefully it'll be good. A Halo mod or a 40k mod would be the dream in this game and I do eagerly await Revans Revenge.
Now if I can just get smart enough to install these mods to Empire at War! I last tried 2 or 3 years ago. I don't know if they have an installer now or not. I'm just that silly man.
Spoiler for FOTJ... I just remember the scene from "Fate of the Jedi"... Daala proclaims Jagged is dead... and then in "I think not" Jagged brings in flight of chiss Star destroyers hailing from Empire of the hand...
Am I the only one wondering why some of the ship's weapons aren't modeled? Is it possible to do so? I just love being able to watch the turrets track their targets.
It's possible to do. However one thing we have found out is that having turrets individually turn and track targets has a pretty big impact on CPU load which is why TR doesn't utilize rotating turrets.
@@EcksToo In my experience it doesn't contribute significantly to desynchronization errors. If they did it would be most apparent in ground skirmish where many vehicles (and turrets) have the ability to rotate.
I hate what they've done to the Phalanx, Syndic and Chaf. They were cool and identifiable before, now they're ugly as sin and I don't want to play as the Empire of the Hand anymore as a result.

Id imagine they are more advanced ties like tie hunters or something.) "It looks like a floating gun in space" Aggessor class destroyer flashbacks. It just me or do the Dreadnought and carrack look like they where made by the same company? Cus they look very similar and would compliment each other well.
I can't pick an objectively best, but I think the Ascendency is my favorite, and the Bulwarks were the ones that had me most excited when I realized they had new, and independant, designs! p.s. I haven't been able to find the Republic-Class Star Destroyer, and was wondering if it got removed, or if I just need to advance another Era or two.
The Phalanx looks waaaay better now. I'm not as much of a fan of the new Syndic, but I really like the new Chiss aesthetic they're going for, so I'm glad it at least fits in
you know, i understand that different people pronounce words differently, but i feel i must point out that there is a very distinct 'L' in Phalanx. it annoyed me greatly to hear it pronounced "Fanx", especially because its almost right, "Fa-Lanx"
The Chaf is really the only one I don’t like. Sure it definitely has the updated look, but I liked the old design better, as well as it’s old scale being fairly large in size. But it’s still fun to use mass chaf’s
The double deck of the Storm Commando Escort Carrier make it ugly, I hope in the future they would take inspiration from Ansel "Fractalsponge" Hsiao's Spector-class for this model.
I think more versions are better, have more of a price range of ships with more varying capability and options. a lot of these are good enough 5that maybe they could use the oldversions for the criminal ellement or something.
I'd love to see the Vengeance in action, but I don't have enough money to buy a computer, and there's no RU-vid video depicting it in action or is a Pentastar Alignment playthrough ☹️
@@TheSteve_1992 The demilitarisation of the NR in canon isn't inherently bad, but TFA and TROS handle it very poorly. I don't get why they'd introduce so many cool soldiers, weapons, and ship designs for the First Order but never give us a chance to truly see them in action. I think the reason everyone warmed so quickly to the Republic navy and Clone Army was because their first appearance was a really cool battle. It's excusable in TLJ cus of the nature of the story it was telling, but man I wanted so much more from TFA and TROS.
The Corona-Class frigate is a vessel that first appeared in the Black Fleet Crisis trilogy and was later expanded upon in the Sourcebook "Crackens Threat Dossier"

Honestly this is a bit of a sloppy video compared to what I'm used to from you guys. Half the ships are flickering, which is annoying, and for a lot of them you didn't even show what the old design looked like! I thought this was supposed to be a comparison video? You guys can do better.
I understand the frustration. The flickering is due to the game's rendering & not a recording issue, there is very little I can do on my end. I had initially recorded 70~ comparisons. But because there was around 35 ships & comparisons to get through, I didn't want to pad out the video too much. So I made the conscious decision to not include all of them. Perhaps I was wrong on that one. A lot of effort went into this video, and I stand by the decisions made. - Charlie
