Because of side out scoring it doesn’t necessarily have to be a scoring play to be considered a good one

It's not rec play - he plays with a partner with his brother or ALW (in these clips) where they talk out who gets what in advance. His brother Collins has gone into detail about why the devised this game plan. It's not selfish if you understand the game at their level. In your rec play, yes that's selfish. Tell your partner to stay on their side. =P

The person who is better/ on the forehand side poaches more. It’s good strategy. The opposing team will usually do their best to avoid hitting it at said person. I don’t think you play pickle ball….

This isn’t just for fun, they are playing for thousands of dollars. If ben has the better shots and is the better player it’s a good idea for him to take more of the balls instead of letting his partner get targeted
