Ben Johns is a great pickleball player because of his ability to use the Erne, around the post shots, roll volleys, dinks, and more. He has a lot of experience playing the game and knows how to use his skills to his advantage on the court. In this video, we look at some of his best pickleball highlights and go over what about his game makes him so good!

Another technique that Ben uses effectively is holding the ball on the paddle. It's almost like he is sensing which direction the opponent is leaning before delivering the ball. Love your videos.

I loved the video. Im new to the sport and watching this breakdown was very helpful in understanding the strategies the pros use. For me, it was a little difficult to follow because I'm not familiar with the players yet. When you were explaining the shots, I wasn't sure who I should be looking at. Had to go back a few times to watch the right persons moves. Looking forward to watching more.

Your channel's tips and analysis hit the trifecta. Clear, Concise, Compelling. No filler, but still with personality.

Outstanding! You guys have come a long way since your first instructionals. Excellent structure. Good narration. Good sound. Excellent examples with just the right number of replays and different angles. I don’t know how you could have done a better job with this. Would love to see the same with Leigh Ann waters, Riley Neumann, and Matt Wright.

Thanks for the great instructional video! I loved the analysis, especially the section related to Ben and Collin's deep dinks and the effect they have in setting up an attackable ball. I would love to see a deep-dive breakdown with slow-motion sections of what makes Ben's dinks so effective, covering the type of dinks he uses, his strategy, his dink placement, why he hits certain dinks at certain times, the effect of his dink sequences on his opponent, etc. Instead of one video, perhaps Ben's deep-dive dink breakdown could be done in a series of videos.

Great info. Great angles. I also had to watch it at 1/2 speed to catch al the detail. Keep up the great work.

Great analysis. I find it so helpful to have the points slowed down and watch how it's developed.

Improvement: would be helpful if in each scenario you identified which player was Ben Johns either by saying shirt color or maybe a circle at start of clip. I found I was constantly trying to figure which one he was and by the time I did, he’d be doing what I was supposed to be watching.

It may be helpful if you briefly explain how the roll volley is hit. Or really any shot. The grip position of the paddle head does he keep the same continental grip or shift his hand. I like the way you keep the pace of the dialog going and using that same presentation along with the explanation would add a bit more to the content…

Pickleball is 80% mental. Johns is an excellent tactician. And he has the mental stamina/consistency mixed with patience and elite physical skills to be #1.

Not sure I’d call it a fake drop. It should be called a fake drive because he’s actually faking the drive and dropping it.

The problem with PB is that although it has recently become extremely popular, it's very boring to watch! It's popular because people like me love to PLAY it, not watch the pros play it. Endless dinking rallies are sooo dull and boring to watch! Notice how few spectators are there watching it.
