Hey everyone it's Cambria, I've been watching a lot of That 70's Show on Netflix lately as I hadn't seen it in awhile. It inspired me to do a video about it! Please leave a like and subscribe if you enjoyed the video, thanks! :)
I 100% agree with all of those. I would add in Mitch not being a reoccurring antagonist to the gang, specifically Eric. They could have had him repeatedly charm his way into the group and then do something to get kicked out. If they had a few episodes like that every season as a running joke, it could have been great.
C Y N and many people forget Donna had an older sister (never shown) because donnas mom in the first season recited a poem about an empty nest that helped her when their daughter went to college.
If Ashton Kutcher never landed the role as Kelso he would’ve never gotten to know Mila Kunis and then married her many years later. Destiny works in mysterious ways.
That's true! And if Mila Kunis HADN'T lied about her age, not only would she have NOT gotten the role of Jackie Burkhart on That '70s Show, but she would NOT become Mrs. Ashton Kutcher! So you're right on one thing, Castle Black! Destiny DOES work in mysterious ways!
Plus jacky did the megan voice for the family guy. Kelso alot of funny movies All that thanks to that 70 show. And kelso is him self in every movie.. Just like red (the few movies he did) he was always that prick. I like when actors are there self. And you find them being the same in different movies
How is that destiny? That is just a chain of events that happened because they both were on the same show. If they weren't on the same show, they would have ended up with other people and due to that chain of events someone else would be calling that destiny, which just makes it a useless term. Them being together would only be destiny if we could look at hundreds of other timelines that all have different circumstances and they still end together no matter what, but doing that is impossible.
The fact that the actress Debra Jo Rupp ( Forman’s mom ) was never even nominated for an Emmy the entire run of the show to me invalidates the award completely. Kitty is 100% a character. Debra’s real voice and mannerisms are nothing like Kitty’s so much so I was shocked the first interview I saw of her.
Exactly!!! So much glory goes to people who play the same person for every movie. My exception is Ryan Reynolds because well his personality is amazing lol. A lot of actors/actresses who have exceptional range are pushed off to the side.
Yes and no. Steve carrell left because he saw michaels story was finished in the show and didn’t need to be dragged out. Topher left because he wanted to do movies. Either way they both left huge holes in their shows when they departed.
@@cincin4515 its actually fairly well known and common phenomenon that adolescents will insist that they hate eachother just to hide their feelings for one another. Gotta remember what it's like being a kid. Teasing leads to tickling. Tickling leads to.... Well, I shouldn't have to spell it out for you.
Well, originally, Randy's actor was supposed to take Eric's part. Idk if Eric was off the show for that amount of time because the actor had something to do, like Midge's actress left because her husband was very sick, or something similar to that, but they scrapped it
I think that the main problem with Randy was his line delivery. I mean, we got used to mean jokes and burns for 7 years, but somehow the line delivery were always pure fun, but the way Randy delivers them seens 100% mean and hurtfull. Idk, maybe bad directing or just a shitty actor
@@WaldoFoundYou You say that like it's a bad thing, at least we don't need a safe space and know what toilet to use. Go back to your room buddy and leave the real world to the people who make your life of video games and professional victim hood possible. Mommy will be in soon to give you your dinner ;)
I just ridiculously love this show! Only problem is that I didn't like season 8 and how the show only takes place in 4 years. Overall, there is no other show like this.
Just to clarify Ashton and Mila>>>>>>Jackie and Kelso Man I don’t get people who think Jackie and Kelso were a good couple, they were an excellent comedic due and a really really bad couple and I mean it
exactly!! yes they had their cute moments but they were too alike. jackie and hyde had different qualities that made them step out of their comfort zones a bit and their personalities complimented each other
They were a perfect couple for comedic reasons and they really brought each other's funny side of the characters out however the toxicity in the relationship wasn't good however i thought hyde and jackie were a bit toxic but not as toxic as kelso and jackie. I kinda liked how she ended up with fed considering he was the one who could treat her the way she deserved. In real life, i love ashton and mila together, he's so good to her and even though they didn't end up together faster it's still my favourite famous couple.
Something I really like about this show...it's just fun. Nearly every episode you can see a moment (sometimes several) where characters are talking to each other, and the actors are clearly stifling their laughter in real life. Most shows would just do reshoots until the actors get it right without breaking character like that, but this show just likes to have fun with its concept and doesn't take itself too seriously. It creates a very laid back atmosphere, and the actors are enjoying every minute of it. Can't name many shows with that distinction.
And honestly, the laughing makes it feel more genuine. I mean how many times have you been hanging out with friends and a laugh is just right around the corner?
It is also amazing how one actress can totally butcher a role. I'm not sure how Lori's replacement got the role, but she certainly wasn't right for the part. It isn't her fault really, but it shows you how important casting is.
@@24kjay38 I don't know. They got a long fine with her being gone from season 3-4. Not sure why they had to force another actress into the role in the middle of having the original actress coming back then leaving again. Maybe they were 100% committed to the Fez story line with getting married to be a citizen...
Garrett Bacon I finished the show today for the first time I am thinking about re watching it or just leaving it be because I feel very sad that it’s over
Jackie’s mom was switched up as well. In season one when she’s showing off the house and they’re having the keg party in the pool she was played by a different actress and then came back in the later seasons as Brooke Shields
I've watched this series a million times and thought I knew everything there was to know. Wrong--I didn't realize Kitty's outfit in the finale was the same as in the opener.
Lol I’ve seen the show 5 going on 6 times now and my mom is the one who brought this up 😂 I saw the whole series the first time around in 3 days (had to write a report on the show for school) and my mom saw half of the first episode with me and as I was finishing the series she asks “Are you still on the same episode?” To which I told her no and she said “So does she wear the same outfit every episode?” And that’s how I noticed lol
Apparently the new showrunner of season 8 hated Hyde/Jackie so much they paired her with Fez, even though the original showrunners wanted those two to be endgame. Even Danny Masterson said it was really weird how the new showrunner is season 8 handled their relationships. It's like they went back in several season of character development.
I intended to just turn the show on for a minute to see how 70's it actually was. It was the scene where Hyde explained he theory of a "cocktail dad." That's an actual phrase my brother used in the 70's about our neighbors dad. Cocktail dads had a mini bar, swizzle sticks and his own keg tap, etc. I was an instant fan.
Hannah B I personally liked it. It made sense. Jackie always had feelings for him in the beginning seasons it felt like and fez of course did too but they didn’t realize it until they matured and got to the final season
What they need to do is do a sequal to the show and set it in the 90s and call it "That 90s Show" , 20 years later. The show develops around Donna and Eric's son and his son's friends, who have the same similarities as Eric's old friends.
Dan Kiser The problem with “That 80’s Show” was that the characters were not teenagers. A 90’s version could only work if they keep to that formula. As T7S says in the Star Wars episode: puberty sucks no matter what decade it is.
Angel Singer i know but this time its different because the original actors will be there and it will be exactly like the original show trying to connect to a new generation.
Maria Rosa my other idea for the 90's sequal tjat it would take place between Jan. of 1990 to Dec. of 1999. That way the the show would not try and juice it and stretch it out like they did for T7S.
Amazing Supergirl they did mention it once. In the episode where Red was watching soap operas (wish i knew more about the episode to clarify better) in the credits they say "AND WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO MIDGE'S DAUGHTER TINA" as a soap oprea "to be continued" joke
matt waller I saw the same facts literally WORD FOR WORD on this article www.mentalfloss.com/article/67387/15-vintage-facts-about-70s-show like she can't even change the words a little so it's not such a rip off
So many memories. I love this show. I still remember the excitement of waiting for a new episode every week. And I’ve seen it many times after it was over.
@Steve JarvisThis is the THIRD time I'm seeing your stupid ass comment. Stfu. He was accused and there was absolutely no evidence to support the accusation.
I love this show. Very reminiscent of my life in the seventies which I would return to in a heartbeat. Lots of fun, friendship, and love! Ah, the nostalgia ✌️💖
I used to live in Wisconsin for a while.. Just loved hearing that "Hello Wisconsin!" In fact where they were supposedly living in Wisconsin in That 70s Show wasn't far from where I lived...lol. I actually miss Fes the most... OMG! Wilmer Valderrama was perfect!
Because of this show, whenever I see Kurtwood Smith in a movie/TV show, I always say, "dumbass" when he ends his sentence. Works best for RoboCop and his Star Trek universe appearances. Oh, yes, and the film Deep Impact, LOL.
Tommy Chong’s cellmate was Jordan Belford the real life Wolf of Wall St. In fact it was Tommy who encouraged Jordan to write the book that the movie about him was based on. And they say prison doesn’t teach you anything!
Cooky Comps she has dated all the men. (eric doesnt fall into that category).first names are more intimate. and I think she has called eric "Forman" at least once.
Cooky Comps, the only reason why Jackie prefers to call Forman, Hyde, and Kelso by their first names, respectively Eric, Steven, and Michael, was because she wanted to sound like their mothers! That's why!
The show was SO successful thanks in part to brilliant writing, outstanding acting by a superb ensemble cast and ALL THOSE WATCHING wishing that we all had a second chance in reliving the 70's.
My Best loved show of ALL TIMES.........Never get tired of it a these years after it stopped.I watch it to laugh and feel happy. Actually I lived thru that Era....and it was Wonderful.
Fact #31...The main cast still makes so much money from residuals as the show plays about a gazillion times a day in syndication, they'll never have to work again if they don't want. In a published article it was reported Topher Grace collects over $1 Million every month.
I --- LIVED that 70's Show. My teen years were THAT PERIOD in time. This show totally EPITOMIZES the decade and the period. To me, the 70's AND the 80's were the best decades to be alive in. Life was fairly simple and care free. I'll just leave it at that.
Mine too. Maybe that's why I never really got into the show. '75 - 80 were my time to shine as a teenager. I dug the 70s, but 1980 turned out to be a dreadul year, and that was, as they say, that.
I'm right there with you in the 70's era. I graduated high school in '77. We had great times and there was great music, but I don't think that it was any better or worse than other times. It just happened to be when we were young and everything is new. Don't forget that we were in a pretty crippling recession then.
If you watch Netflix’s “the ranch” they reuse a lot of the “that 70’s show” cast such as Ashton Kutcher etc and some of the cast from “ Two and A Half Men”
How the show show should have ended Jackie and Hyde end up together and have a baby Eric and Donna leave point place and and get married but return and take the old Forman house Kelso moves back to point place with his daughter Fez leaves back to his country and gets all the girls because they think he's popular but he realize he wants to be a nobody and moves back and kitty and red move to Florida with bob after leaving the house to Eric Randy ends up leaving the Forman house after Donnas break up but meets a blonde on her way to families house name Laura and decided to go to Chicago together
The only thing I don't agree with is Fez and Jackie not ending up together. Considering Fez was obsessed with Jackie for most of the seasons I think it made a lot of sense.
This show is a timeless one and too often has reflected my life a bit. As a stoner, this show is the holy grail of all shows. It’s always been reliable. It’s even been there when I was tripping, it was great. I just love this show.
I have a feeling That 80s Show flopped because people still wanted That 70s Show. I’ve heard mixed reviews from my friends saying That 80s Show was “pretty funny and underrated” while others said “it’s not the same”. All I’m saying is now that some time has passed the writers should totally come together and make a That 90s Show!
The problem is that the jokes in that 80s show were specifically about the 80s, so if you weren't alive back then, it's hard to relate. That 70s show was relatable to tons of people because there were jokes about growing up in the 70s, living in Wisconsin, and being a teen in general.
@@ArtixellAnimations but majority of the fans were not born in the 70s, most were teenagers born in the 90s early 2000s when that 70snshow became popular.
