What would you like to see from a second season of That '90s Show?

This show has so much potential. Since the kids are all very young and this, for most of them, is their first big project. They need another season under their belt to find their footing. My only serious complaint is someone needs to get these kids high in real life one time, because that's the most unbelievable part. Other than that, I think the worlds blend nicely. Mace Cornel is probably the best out of the kids with Reyn Doi being a close second.

My Mom, Hubby & I really enjoyed the show! Great mix of new and old. Hoping for a renewal, refreshing to have a comedy show instead of another cop show!

Here's the thing: This isn’t That ’90s Show; it’s That ’70s Show with new kids. The problem with the show is that it’s EXACTLY the same as its predecessor; the sets, the locations, the plots, the tone - even the car - are identical. The cast are new actors, yes, but they’re playing the same characters as the original cast. Leia is Eric; Gwen is Hyde; Jay is Donna and so on. On the one hand, that familiarity, especially given the recurring roles of Red and Kitty and frequent cameos from the original cast, give the show a comforting safety and a nice nostalgia rush, but once that wears off, what’s left? The new cast is pleasant in a bland, safe Disney XD sort of way, but it simply can’t hold a candle to the once-in-a-lifetime magic of the original. Also, there’s no reason for this show to be in the ’90s - other than the occasional pop culture reference, some posters and an out-of-town rave (which, again, mimics the original’s covert trip to a Todd Rundgren concert, to diminished returns), the show occupies the same world as before, down to the shawl-covered couch in the basement. So after a too-brief run of 10 episodes, the result is we’re simply watching That ’70s Show with a worse cast. That’s not to say it’s not still enjoyable, but it doesn’t give the show anywhere to go. The showrunners have also painted themselves into a bit of a corner with the “Leia visits for the summer” plot, in that the arc of every season (assuming there are more) will have to begin and conclude within the confines of a 10-episode summer. This doesn't give the characters or stories enough time to develop, but it also means that after only four “summers” the cast would all be seniors and off to college, which ends the show. Oops. If they can work around the summer-only issue, shoot full seasons that give the new characters a chance to grow and mesh, and give the ’90s a more central, meaningful role in the show, we might get somewhere and have something new. Right now, however, I think your time would be better spent on watching reruns of the fantastic original version.

I watched every episode of That 70's Show, but never saw 1 episode of That 90's Show. Now I feel that I missed a great show and I'd love to see it!

I genuinely enjoyed the show as it brought back so much nostalgia from That 70s show and elements that blended it for a 90’s theme. The acting was good, could be better but I don’t hold it against the teens because they are actual teenagers and this is their first real break. Hopefully they learned from their experience and will develop as they continue. Overall, it’s a good show worth binge watching and I do hope for Season 2 but with more episodes because one season with 10 episodes is not enough. Netflix please make a Season 2 happen.

The new dynamic of teens was simply not as likable as the original. They are also in real life years younger than the original cast. I watched the whole thing but it was weird. It was like a reboot written by a totally new group of people who just seemed to like the original show. I hope they make a season 2 but i also hope its better than season 1

as a plumber i cant help myself. The new Rheem water heater wasnt available in the 90's. i just had to say something. the Honeywell thermostat wasnt used till the 2000's, probably after 2010. plumbing nerd, i know.

Kiss was Mentioned several times in the 70s show. The original lineup was on a huge reunion tour in 96/97. They were on the news, covers of all the magazines, kids in my middle school and high school were wearing kiss shirts. If they don't have something of kiss in the upcoming season, they failed

Ozzie is nothing like Fez

The show was solid, but certainly does not need a second season. It told the stories needed and wrapped it up early. Do I dare ask if a “That 50s show” with Red and Kitty as teens and their friends would be intriguing?

yes I get Danny Masterson isn't in it well for legal reasons but the fact they didn't mention him at all kinda hurt ngl I mean Hyde is one of the best characters just imagine a Hyde character in season 2

This show needs to hit in season 2. They have some ideas but most of it is nostalgic, that only goes so far.....

I ignored all the bad comments and I really tried to give this show a chance but it honestly felt like a Disney teen show. I watched this video just so I could get a quick recap instead of suffering and watching the rest of the show.

I'd like to see Laurie Forman. After all, Fez is married to her. Donna had two sisters, Tina and Valerie Pinciotti. We met Tina, once. Also Chuck Cunningham, but that's personal. Big Rhonda, Shcatzi, and Roy Keene.

That's 90 show was very disappointing and trying to make the new characters like That's 70's shows characters only makes it more obvious that they are a watered down version of them

As a lover of that 70s show, I mean I have watched every episode over a 100 times if not a 1,000. I still find humor and laugh at the show, loving the gags and jokes as they are just classic and time doesn't really affect them. Now let's talk the 90s show. The characters were no where near the orginal cast, the show runs through the series while cramming a few 90s references in. It was rushed and didnt make sense, I found myself searching for a joke to laugh at. The best one being the one kitty makes about the internet noise. Please just cancel this tragedy.

I find the plot of Leia being a nerdy outcast at school and trying to impress her new friends in Wisconsin during summer break to be very similar to a Simpsons episode where the family spends the summer at Ned Flander's beach house and Lisa befriends some local kids. They become friends and Lisa pretends to be cooler than she actually is at school until Bart exposes her but those kids still remain her friends nonetheless. Maybe I am just seeing patterns here but to me Leia's storyline feels like a "Simpsons did it" moment.

I don't have the nostalgia of the 70s or early to mid 90s because in 1995 I was only 5. So far the show was still decent even wthiout anything being nostalgic.

If you've ever paid close attention to the 70s show pilot all the young actors look lost like their unsure of how to play their characters.The only one that was confident from the beginning was Kurtwood Smith(Red)because he had already been a professional actor for decades.Most of the time when people watch Robocop they think 70s show,for me it's the other way around when I see an episode of that 70s show I think about Robocop.

I find Ozzie to be really annoying because it feels like he's there just to be a replacement for fez and possibly just a token gay character but that 2nd one im not fully convinced of since him being gay isn't his only character trait to the writers credit. Still though I wish he was at least fez's son or something. Even though it would still be annoying it wouldn't feel as forced. It just further adds to the gripe people already have about the show which is that they are trying to play on our nostalgia. At least make the characters original. Ozzie is a tokenisric character is every sense of the word lol

I didn’t watch that 70s show so I didn’t get mostly everything

I think the cast is too young and it comes off more as a kids show. In the original cast Mila Kunis was the only one under 18 and it worked because Jacky was supposed to be this annoying little imposter to the group at first. I think it takes a more mature actor to pull off an edgier show that the original was. Even if they are playing 15 or so.

Just a bummer Leia isn't Eric's. She was conceived in October/November '79. Eric didn't return from Africa until New year's eve of '79 (finale). Makes sense why Mila Kunis disagrees with her kids age and said he's too old to be hers. Plus where's Betsy? If it gets a 2nd season. I hope the cameos are more frequent. Didn't make sense to show more of Fez and barely Kelso and Jackie since they live in Point Place as well

I loved that they had a gay kid and I like how realistic they were with it. The 90s were a time where LGBTQ was still a stigma and so a lot of 90s kids will remember being in Ozzie’s position With struggling to come out to his parents

Get rid of Ozzy, and the show would be a hundred times better

Gwen is somewhat a version of Hyde but funny dat both jay and Nate act like kelso

Not enough pot smoking on that 90s show they need to fix that for next season

FYI season 2 was confirmed days after the show aired. It will have a 1 year time jump to the next summer... something I'm sure we all saw coming. ✌🏻🩶
