1:08 Brilliant observation. As far as I know first in media studies. Long 1:08 , “6 hour all day listening/watching” of repetitive (Fox esp.) “news”/opionionncauses people to overestimate what they know because they can anticipate and say what the “news” says frequently.

I actually had the experience of meeting an old high school friend after 25 years. Back then she was artistic(she was in art school(uni) and was lead vocals in a group,as well as designing jewelry, making soaps etc.,open minded(or so i thought). My mind exploded after the first 5 minutes of our reunion,as she started talking about chem trails,lizard aliens etc. A waste of sexy(as she still looks beautiful).... I run and run ,like the beep beep in the cartoon...😊

Just once, I want Chris' sister to walk across stage, behind him, in her prom dress, unnoticed by him, and wiggle her fingers at the audience and smile once - maybe wink - then just vanish off the other side. It has to be spontaneous, though.

Well, to be fair, the “ball of fire” metaphor for the sun is oversimplified. It’s a basic way to explain it, but it’s not entirely accurate. Here’s a clearer explanation for kids: The Sun is an almost spherical oblate spheroid consisting of superheated plasma. It undergoes nuclear fusion at its core, not actual fire. Its dynamic surface has features like granules and supergranules, and it exhibits solar flares and prominences due to magnetic activity. The Sun’s poles have unique features like polar coronal holes and bright regions, influenced by its complex magnetic field. From the perspective of general relativity, the Sun's mass warps space-time, causing effects like frame-dragging. This makes its behavior more complex than just being an oblate spheroid. This more detailed understanding of the Sun often conflicts with simpler views, such as those held by some teachers. This mismatch reflects the Dunning-Kruger effect, where people with less knowledge may overestimate their understanding. Such differences highlight the limitations of simplified explanations and the need for deeper insights. Education often focuses on conformity rather than deep understanding. The labels "smart" and "stupid" are such simplified metaphors, and true intelligence emerges from relationships and collective knowledge. Even those labeled as "stupid" play crucial roles in society and in "your" intelligence. Smart individuals should recognize that intelligence is not about individual brilliance but about collective contributions and understanding. Education can help, but it often emphasizes memorization and conformity over critical thinking. Understanding this can help navigate educational and societal structures while appreciating the broader context of knowledge. You may be a high wave on the sea of society and history and intelligence, but a wave IS ALSO the sea.. And high waves are far and between and will suffer the occasional wedgy because of it.. Because you read this far, I assume you are a member or at least waiting in line, so welcome to the club of those who can recognise insight hidden in plain sight.. Ancient Members: Heraclitus (c. 535 - c. 475 BCE) Philosopher of constant change; posited that reality is in a state of flux and that change is the fundamental nature of the universe. Like the shape of the sun. Socrates (c. 470/469 - 399 BCE) Philosopher of ethical inquiry and the pursuit of knowledge through systematic questioning and dialogue. How to recognize insight. Plato (c. 428/427 - 348/347 BCE) Theorist of Forms or Ideas; argued that the material world is an imperfect reflection of immutable, abstract forms. Like the metaphors in which we think we live. Aristotle (384-322 BCE) Father of empiricism; established foundations of logic, ethics, and various sciences through systematic observation and classification. The best way to acquire insight, but like democracy, the best way... not a good way. It has its pitfalls, like tunnel-vision, which means you should always be critical, even of "scientific fact". Epictetus (c. 50 - 135 CE) Focused on personal resilience, control over one’s responses, and accepting what cannot be controlled. He was a teen once. Plotinus (c. 204/5 - 270 CE) Explored the metaphysical concept of the One and the process of emanation, emphasizing the relationship between the material and immaterial. Like the sea and the wave. Medieval and Renaissance Members: Thomas Aquinas (c. 1225 - 1274 CE) Integrated Aristotelian philosophy with Christian doctrine, influencing Western thought on ethics, metaphysics, and theology. Not to look for truth here, but to understand how your mind is warped. Giacomo Leopardi (1798 - 1837 CE) Known for his exploration of probability and existential themes, reflecting on the human condition and knowledge. Probability is a way of expressing the flux of Heraclitus and the oneness of Plotinus. Modern Thinkers Members: Richard Feynman (1918 - 1988 CE) Physicist known for his contributions to quantum mechanics and his engaging explanations. Teaches us how probability can bridge emergent domains. Noam Chomsky (b. 1928 CE) Linguist and cognitive scientist whose work touches on language and human thought. Teaches us about how our minds are always warped in some way. Carl Sagan (1934 - 1996 CE) Astronomer and science communicator known for making complex scientific concepts accessible. Good starting point for higher education beyond school. Daniel Kahneman (b. 1934 CE) Psychologist known for research on cognitive biases and decision-making. Again, mind warping; we are strange creatures. Jared Diamond (b. 1937 CE) Geographer whose work explores human societies from a historical and environmental perspective. Society warps our minds; understanding other environments helps reveal our biases. Howard Gardner (b. 1943 CE) Psychologist known for his theory of multiple intelligences, challenging traditional notions of intelligence. Start of emergence theory as applied to consciousness. Steven Pinker (b. 1954 CE) Cognitive psychologist and linguist known for his work on the mind and human nature. Explores how understanding the mind’s mechanics can reshape our understanding of human nature. Malcolm Gladwell (b. 1963 CE) Author known for exploring social science topics, including intelligence and expertise. Examines how social and cognitive factors influence success and expertise. Brene Brown (b. 1965 CE) Researcher on vulnerability, courage, and empathy, addressing the emotional aspects of human experience. Explores the emotional dimensions that shape human resilience and growth. Yuval Noah Harari (b. 1976 CE) Historian and author who examines broad themes in human history and intelligence, including technological and societal impacts. Looks at how societal and technological changes shape human understanding and intelligence. And now you... Good luck :)

I believe the Son/Sun and all creation knows us though our connection inherent in all things and I’m sure A.I. is just getting the around to it’s own understanding too but if it is already connected with everything we would be the ignorant ones on the other side of that coin 🪙 flip consider the whole neural link thing with infinite information I’m sure people will be flooded with confusion and things like this will be more common debate like blending of fundamental concepts of reality with pure abstract thought and endless mathematical algorithm and geometries some people think the future may look cyberpunk I’m thinking it will be more like 70’s hippie plus cyber genie auto-isms/sims maybe this world is like an inter dimensional rehab and they just cycle through technology as the rehab goes through the ages maybe next we’ll be hosting year 3000 rehab or we’ll blow up the space time continuum using that kind of tech and be hosting the stone ages JK but really who knows what changes A.I. could bring if it literally managed the whole one with all thing before we did it would be a major jokes on us 😂!

There's levels to everything, including intelligence. Some of the opinions you have lack critical thinking. Without any knowledge or research into a subject matter of your friend Dave, you get on stage and point your finger at other calling them dumb. Havard did a study on Atmospheric Aerosol Injection, maybe try doing something call checking yourself before you speak. That's what's lacking these days.

I appreciate this man’s questioning of other people and their opinions. I really appreciate that but at the same time when he’s talking about Google, I get some of what he saying, but then on the other hand the parts that I don’t get I’m like bro you can’t just say that everything on Google is bullshit. It’s a search engine it’s not a everything is wrong engine, do you know what I mean? Was that simple enough for everybody in the room to understand I hope so because it’s like in other words I’m like bro who then is the correct one do I have to read it out of a book? Does it have to be on hard cover book for you to believe it, you know do I need to only believe whatever the overlords tell us know in all honest truth like the only thing that you need to take away from this is that like I appreciate you bro but at the same time you sound like you would suck Fauci’s Fingers

He copied the Cheesecake Factory and acting from big bang theory. I realized he collects all these small parts in everyone and collaborates it as his own. Many other examples in other videos. I liked him hilariously until I started looking into all these familiarities… unfortunate tsk tsk tsk..
@joshclark5778
@joshclark5778 Месяц назад
That’s just how comedy works. Doubt he has ever watched The Big Bang Theory. Observing things in real life and making it more funny by building on truth is the root of good comedy. Porter is around my age. Lots of actors and comedians work in food service as they’re making their way. Lots of them came up in the 80’s-00’s as Cheesecake Factory was rising in popularity so there was some overlap. This has been referenced by plenty of other comedians. Was this portion 100% original? No. Was it hilarious due to how Chris Porter crafts a great story? Absolutely. Mr. Porter rarely misses the mark. I’d be more worried if he was stealing bits from other comedians.
