Crazy thing is that the prices keep going up on the Pintos and Bobcats.. There's alot of clean low mileage ones out there but the asking amount is getting pretty proud lol
Ever try Engine Restore? Project Farm found that it improved the compression in his old tractor and made it easier to start. One of the commenters said it reduced his oil consumption by half.
@@smokengearsgarage the company is expanded and going to make a lot of other parts.. currently they make a lot for maverick, and some for pinto and mustang ll. If you ever feel like a drive you are welcome to our pinto. Vs maverick show in Ohio.
That is awesome! I had a 79 Bobcat with V6 and it was fast AF (for the time period) but burned oil like it was it's job, even at low mileage like 30k. Love it. Does your have power steering? Looks like gas gauge is buster.
Yeah i was told the V6 powered ones were pretty snappy lol. I think they were only offered with an automatic in the pinto. My doesn't have power steering and I believe the sending unit is bad. It sat awhile and it never came back to life.
I'd put some premium gas and a couple of bottles of fuel cleaner in there..Run it a few miles then change the oil and add some STP or Lucas Oil Treatment and keep it running.
