Last time on Deathwish Josh Mazerolle and Shawn Cross were stranded in
Chattanooga only halfway through their journey from Texas to New Hampshire. Someone had the bright idea to try and do donuts with 53" tall tires and they exploded the transfer case. Now they have to scramble to to find parts to repair the Ford Grand Marquis 4x4 Car so this epic road trip can continue. At this rate they are days behind schedule but the bright side is that the car will be like new once they break down 10 or 15 more times! Follow along as this Redneck Road Trip continues, they crush some cars with a car and meet some of the best strangers along the way. This isn't your typical Deathwish Mud Buggy Adventure.

This got me. “Random stranger showed up and apparently this is what he does.” My Father and I drove a VW powered 3 wheeler to California from MI in 1986. We broke down in almost every state in between. This is what we ran into every time. America is such a great country because of the people.

I can't believe how awesome this is. Up here, the first cop that seen you drive by would be cuffing and stuffing. Sure as heck wouldn't be driving you for parts to help out. Love this mission! Who wouldn't? Two great guys overcoming the elements of Ford!

Gotta say.. I love DeathWish. Makes me think of my 16 - 25 years driving old beat up crap and breaking down everywhere... Lol. Lost splines in a steering wheel on a 73 Duster on the freeway once. Somehow, I had a socket and ratchet right in the glove box already set up and got it on before we hit the barriers!!! I was on a date! Hahaha! Lost multiple drivelines, had wheel spacer come loose, etc. You name it, I think I've broke it and fixed it!!! Keep up the good work!

In 1980, at the tender age of 24, I left NY on my '66 BMW R50, for a 5 month, 41 State solo tour of rural America. I broke down several times, and had to rely on the kindness of strangers. Many times, a conversation about my trip with someone in a gas station or parking lot, resulted in an invitation to dinner and a place to sleep. I consistently found that those with the least to give were the most generous and helpful. I've tried to pay it forward by always keeping tools and spare gas in my truck, and I then encourage those I've helped to perform a random act of kindness. This was obviously before the internet, social media, cell phones, and GPS's. Bob B. Maine

These videos are great. Looking forward to more. I owned a mudder Bronco like this growing up, never a day that it wasn't broken in some way. No heat, no clutch, electrical fires, driving home on my front diff... That's how I learned to wrench on my own stuff, couldn't afford to pay anyone to do it for me.

Lol! You guys are cracking me up. The trek through the woods reminded me of the time my Power Wagon overheated on the Arizona border and blew out the seam on the top tank of my radiator. I managed to bang it back together enough that I could solder it up. (I was headed home to put the truck into storage for 6 months while I was deployed overseas, so I had ALL of my tools with me.) I didn't have any water, so I hiked into the desert to a muddy stock tank. I was able to fill my gallon jug with water/mud (Stop-leak?) and was able to make it the other 210 miles home.

@@BustedKnuckleVideo it's all in how you look at it. When the radiator blew the seam, I was opening the hood. The hot coolant shot out onto my jeans and all I could do was jump around and pull my pant legs away from my skin so I didn't get a serious burn. Once that crisis was averted, calmer heads prevailed and I shifted into repair mode. I mean, who would normally carry around a torch and solder in the cross-bed tool box. Bad luck, I broke down. Good luck, I was more than capable of resolving the problem and was equipped to do so. LOL.

That's cool all the guys and the cop that helped you guys out next road trip remember to carry some wire that's what I do you never know when you will need it and it don't take up so much room the last time I needed wire it was not for wiring at all the arm on my windshield wipers on my 80 T/A came off in a downpour so I took the wire and wrapped it around where the clip was supposed to be and got me to where I was going so you never know when wire is needed but on a older car you're going to need it sooner or later

Haha haha me and my buddy fixed his heater core hose in about 5 min On the side of the road electric tape and a socket 3/8s maybe 1/2 to a small size long socket because it broke off at the fire wall well 100k later On the 4.8 Chevy and it’s still On there!

Make sure you use lot's of dielectric grease on the back of that Ignition module and you have a good heat sink because that's why they burn up to much moisture or heat
